With my 1st baby, my milk supply was very inconsistent, also. It's completely normal. The fact that you gave her 5 months is awesome! She got all of that precious colostrum already. Bond with your babygirl as long as you like through breastfeeding, but there will be so many other ways to bond. Just ask Dad! 😊
❤️ Breastfeeding is such a journey! It is a very special time, you get to hold your baby so close and play with their tiny fingers and eye contact, etc…So special 🥹🥰 In terms of the supply issue, in my experience, it happened to me when I decided to work out. For some reason (I guess because my body was burning more calories) my supply decreased. I stop working out (except stretches/yoga) started paying attention to my water intake and got back my supply.
You are doing great! Another option would be to taper off pumping and formula and allow baby alone to dictate how much milk you make. Breast milk is made on a supply and demand system so it makes sense that your supply went down when you stopped pumping. It’s also why supplementing with formula will make your supply go down. Your body thinks baby doesn’t need as much because she isn’t taking as much from the breasts. But maybe try to taper off of both pumping and formula and let her tell your body how much to make. It will take a little bit for your body to get the hint that baby needs more milk but hang in there, it’s so worth it. My one year old son has never even seen a baby bottle. It’s so convenient to just breastfeed and not have to worry about pumps, bottles or formula. That being said, you will need to pump if you want to build up a stash (I never did 😗) or if you're going back to work.
I really enjoyed watching your daily routine with CeCe,she is so adorable and sweet ,I enjoyed seeing the pups and of course Jason playing with the baby was so cute, look forward to seeing more like this❤😊
You’re doing such a good job! With my first I wanted to breast feed but had complications so we supplemented with breast feeding and formula fed! We did that for 10months and I loved it so much. You know what’s best for you and her! Give yourself time and grace! You’re doing great momma!!
That intro ☕️ so peaceful 🌨️🍃 Cecilia is soooo precious. Immediately put a smile to my face. I remember when you told us that you sold your old house I was SOOO bummed bc I loved that house and backyard! But Your current house 😍😍😍😍 beautiful. Also, love the shades you wore in the car with the fam. So chic!
I did an amazing job Chloe❤. My daughter also Chloe and she’s 5months olds! We also live in Nashville! If you decide to give her full on formula! Its should be fine too. I did that for my daughter at 2 months old and shes doing great!
I am also have a hard time letting go breastfeeding 😢. But work schedule also makes it difficult to keep up with pumping schedule I only pump four times a day now and supply has dropped also
I nursed one of my daughters for 2 years. They teach us well how to start breastfeeding, but not how hard it is to stop. 😂 But, I am so happy we had that wonderful mommy baby girl bonding time that now, 30 years later, I wouldn't have changed a thing because now she's a breastfeeding mom.😁
Hi 😊 I wanted to encourage you to you to keep breastfeeding and do both. I’m in the same feeding situation, my daughter is 5 months also and my supply dropped too. We started on solids at 4 months and that’s also helped 😊 ❤
