It finally dawned on me that my polychromos are the same colors as your Albrecht Durer pencils so now I can follow your color alongs! Thanks for showing us your beautiful pages.

Shelly would you some time make a video how do you base your pages with towbom markers without having strokes! I tried the pastel colors but even they leave a bunch of strokes that don’t disappear when you cover with the pencil!
Beautiful work Shelly! My favorite has to be the mermaid in the mythographic. Such stunning colors and it all worked so wonderfully together! Just stunning!
Beautiful coloring pages. Love them all. I've noticed my Polys cause that bumpy texture in my coloring books with thiner paper like Amazon paper. I think the paper goes wobbly because the Polys and Pablos are a harder pencil than other pencils. Sometimes it can also be a result of how hard we press with Polys or Pablos. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures
Hi Shelly, i really like your Rita Berman Spring book, i think the colors are fun!! I know stepping out gets you going and you did fantastic!! Your RB Africa book is beautiful!!! The Frogs Tale pics are fun!! And the bunny page is very pretty!!! The garden fork is called a pitch fork or at least in the US….the year of the witches at the bus stop is just stunning!!! Your Wreath is lovely!!! Your mermaid is lovely..wow!!! Thanks for sharing this was fun!!
Just want to say how I love your vibrant and intense colouring style along with your chatty style which is golddust for us newbie colourists. Yours is one of my very favourite colouring channels. ❤
I'm not sure what is going on with your Pablos on Amazon paper.. but I think it may be the higher wax content.. that and the pablos are pretty hard. The paper is so thin it's stretching with the pressure and then the wax is holding it in the stretched state. I would try using a backing page that is rather stiff, that way the paper doesn't get pushed into the softer sheets behind it. I use an acrylic sheet that is intended to be the cover of a bound report, I get them from my local print/copy shop. They are thicker, more solid than a sheet of paper, but not thick enough to be problematic for the book. They are also waterproof, easily trimmed to fit your various books with a paper trimmer, and reusable. You could try a thick cardstock if you don't have access to something similar.
I just bought the seasonal wreath book because of you! 😂 You got me in trouble lol I saw the circus page as you were flipping a little and I collect circus themed coloring books or books that have a circus page because as a little girl my grandpa always took me to the circus and it reminds me of him. So thank you for getting me into trouble. ❤😊

Do you feel the paper on the Witches book is different enough from your local Matchstick Mouse to justify ordering more locally available books from Japan? I ask because I'm considering doing just that.. pretty sure our US paper is even worse than yours, especially for any wet medium.
