@emilykay115 why shouldn't they send people to rehab? If a person gets clean the likelihood of them returning to jail is slim. If you're an addict you commit crime to feed your habit.

This is strange, but I had a near-death experience. I went to Heave and stuff. Before I was sent back, a being made of light told me how to live my life and raise my kids. One of the things it told me was not to pass judgment on others. We don't know how he got here. Most of us were lucky enough to have love in our lives. Maybe he didn't. My mother used to think the way most of these commenters do... she thought addicts had no redemption or place in society until my father got hooked on pain medication after an accident where they prescribed them to him, now she sings a different tune trying to advocate for addicts recoveries. Everyone is so quick to judge and say what they would do until God forbid it happens to someone they really care about. sending good vibes to everyone, We all have our struggles. 🙏❤️🩹
I lived with a heroin addict for 3 years, why was he a heroin addict? Because he had back surgery and everything slipped an inch and caused him a lot of pain. They wanted to go back in and break his back and try to fix it, he said no and so he got hooked on pain pills. When the doctors said no more, that’s when he turned to the heroin. Before the accident he was a hard worker and a good man, after the accident he was still a good man, after getting addicted he was still a good man…
And it could be any one of us getting addicted to pain killers after a major accident. You’re absolutely right. I don’t judge and those who do should be very careful. They can be in your dad’s shoes one day. Addiction can happen to any one.
