Randomly came across this album, and it's the best album of 2022. The pure, raw emotion, the folk feeling with the powerful drive, the Vocals are amazing. Everything about it is the reason I love music. I don't understand the language of the words, but the emotion of the universal language of music transcends all boundries...

Tämä setämies ei taida olla ihan oikeata kohderyhmää tälle, mutta annanpa mielipiteeni silti.
Olisin niin kovasti halunnut tykätä tästä (olin aikaisemmin kuullut "Täällä pohjantähden alla" -coverin, josta tykkäsin, vaikka samat ongelmat sielläkin oli).
Ensin positiiviset. Itse perusta on luja. Perinteiset tavat ja ikiaikaiset uskomukset, luonto ja 'pakanalliset' perinteet. Se on mulle ihan ok. Biisien rakenne on genreen nähden asiallista, ja soitto erinomaista, varsinkin mikäli artisti vetää ne kaikki itse.
Sitten ne ongelmat. Todennäköisesti tarkoituksella laulu on miksattu todella alas. Ainakaan tällainen 'oldtimer' ei saa tuosta mössöstä ihan mitään selvää. Sen on pakko olla tarkoituksellista. Kovempi volyymi auttanee, mutta Floor Jansen -fanina (💗👸) olen tottunut selkeään lauluääneen, sori.
Toinen vähän häiritsevä asia (noin rumpalistina) on double-kickin vähän turhan monotoninen kumiseva soundi ja rytmi aika monessa biisissä. Ehkä silläkin on tarkoituksensa, mutta monipuolisuutta se ei ehkä palvele.
Ok, setä on paha ja ruma, mutta ihan kehityskelpoista, tavallaan perinneheviähän tämä on. Jatkakaa vain. 'Ruska' -biisi on voimakas ja hyvä. Laulukin kuuluu hyvin. Eli siis loppua kohden paranee. Hyvät nuotioritinät. Joten terveisiä Pohjois-Suomesta! 😎👍
