I was there, and man took me back to being that 13 year old who loved watching Hardwells sets on TH-cam (when I was not old enough to go to shows/festivals). Never thought I'd be able to hear the original version of Spaceman, or the Encoded mashup live. This made me very happy, and I felt like that kid watching those short after movies Hardwell used to have on TH-cam but instead I was actually there. Thank You for recording this, and Thank You Hardwell for that live Old School Hardwell experience that I grew up watching on TH-cam
Hardwell pioneered bigroom so this is undeniably him but the pitfalls of the genre are clear as day especially to the one who mastered it, there just wasn't room to expand. His evolution is more than welcome and I am glad that he had the foresight to take elements of bigroom and adapt it beautifully with techno. I am happy though that Hardwell recognizes what made him such a legend and decided to host a throwback set. Nostalgia is certainly kicking my old ass.
Hardwell killed the whole Miami Music Week for me. The day before this set he played in the Story Club. 2 hours Set with new IDs not played at Ultra Mainstage, Rebels Never Die Tracks and some other Oldschool tracks. And after that Maddix played and they played their Collabs b2b. Than this set the Friday and Saturday the Mainstage Set. I went for Hardwell from Germany to Miami and it was worth all the money.
This clashed with the start of Garrix if I remember so I was at the mainstage, mate I'm so gutted I missed this but thank you so much for uploading, absolute legend
Deary me this was to year to go to ultra wasn't it? Just about every set was smashing, including this one. We need more throwback sets from the old school days.
