I mean they were always huge In the 80s it’s just the 90s that kinda murdered their popularity because of bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam coming out and hair metal bands not being big anymore and being dropped by their labels but we must always remembered all the hair bands including W.A.S.P will always be huge and no genre like grunge or punk will kill their careers because most of the hair bands like Mötley Crüe and W.A.S.P are the main reason we have the music we have today cause they were huge influences on all the bands we have today like Black Veil Brides and mostly Steel Panther
@@favorites51066 Likewise! Thanks! It is definitely the type of voice that will put you in the musical trance-mood Blackie wants to put you in. He is just unique!
I was invited to Chris Holmes in South of France for his and Cathy's anniversary in 2016 and had a meal with them and a great long chat with Chris about his wasp days and his legendary Jackson beat up axe had a hold of that too so cool and he signed cds for me. A great guy and very down to earth. Perfect gent.
You both win.. He's an absolute Beast! My friends in La always told me about he was the gnarliest partier ever and yeah he would stay at the latest drinking and being crazy
Back in 2009, i met a woman at an NA meeting. She was married with 2 children. In NA it is a requirement that you develop a network of recovering friends. She was added to my network. One day i received a phone call from her. She simply said will you have sex with me. Being a gentleman who was clean for well over a year, what kinda man would i be to not honor such a simple request. She stated, if you don’t have sex with me, I’m gonna use. That wasn’t going to happen, we do recover by any means necessary. I played this song while i was giving a phenomenal WEENERING! To this very day she and i are clean and sober. Glory be to GOD. We DO recover!
Chris Holmes is like a Jack Russel. Doesn't stop for nothing. They don't make him like that anymore. Original non stop performer......Johnny Thunders - Dolls era.
@@traceyboucher5451 He got sober when he moved to Europe. Apparently first thing he did as he was getting sober was find out Blackie had been screwing him on royalties and payments for a long time, even after becomeing a born again christian. Thats why he wont talk to him again.
Im 60 years old and i still headbang to WASP and Priest and iron maiden !!!! In 1980 they told me i would grow out of it !!! Fuck them !!!! 44 years still headbanging i just got my tickets for WASP and judas priest in vegas i cant wait !!!
Go back and check out all their albums there conceptual album is regarded as either the best or one of the best of all time by all critics. There were talking Pink Floyd The Wall credibility. Then check out all their albums period. There's at least a couple good nuggets on the later albums and their first couple albums have at least half the albums with just amazing hunting lyrics and beautiful sound.
I gave loved this band since I was 14 or even a little b4. I'm 51 now and still listening. This is hands down my favourite song. Tormentor and sleeping in the fire live from the lyceum are awesome too. I love all their albums, past and present.
Saw them in 1984 at the Lyceum in London - knew all the songs off by heart from playing a tape over and over with my friends. Was possibly the best gig I ever went to up to now. They were awesome. Of course this song came later but definitely a very underrated band of the era
I remember back in 86 or 87, I was working security at Joe Louis Arena, these guys warmed up for Ratt I think, they had these large heads of each band member on display. I wasn’t much of a fan back then. I guess I was a big dummy, these guys really bring it. So much energy and so underrated. Thanks for posting
I think for some people, they're an acquired taste. For me I didn't like metal at all until I heard W.A.S.P. & OZZY. From W.A.S.P. it was WILD CHILD & OZZY BARK AT THE MOON.
I was at the show!!.. Looking for myself in the audience,.. But couldn't find me. But man I hit this tour and saw them at three different venues! I saw wasp as many times as I could.
Saw WASP and Anthrax open for Sabbath back in 1986. My buddy and I downed a handle of Morgan's before we went in. 11th row floor seats. It was so crazy and I was sweating so hard that I felt sober when the show was over.
Definitely belong on everyone’s list of greatest bands ever! Live, records ,songs etc. Blackie can yo from raw aggressive, yet melodic songs , to absolutely make you shed a tear ballads! Personally, I can’t wait for the new 40 year tour to start! I saw them open for KISS back in 85! BEST CONCERT EVER !!!
Who's still headbanging to WASP in 2024/2025?
Me from Bangladesh 🇧🇩🤘💥

2024 metal needs a comeback whether the stations agree or not
We desperately need this back
Most underrated band of their Era...!!!!
True
Agree
So true
At least in Finland they were big.
What a voice 🔥
what a haircut!
Of course hes lip syncing, he always fuckin did@billgonzo116
Stet Howland on drums is an absolute beast. It sounds like there’s three people playing the drums. He’s a monster.
He is not mention enough.....Blackie should bring him back, a fantastic drummer!!!!!!!!!
@@ramman5588He won't. Because he can't ripp him off.
the most underrated metal band ever.
One of the best vocalists of metal : blackie lawless and one of the best live guitar players: chris holmes.
WASP!!!One of the best bands in the world!!!
That drummer is really a fucking beast
Chris Holmes what a beast!
One of my favorite guitarists! Without Chris WASP just isn't the same.
THE best of the LA metal bands. And one of the best in the world. Blackies voice is incredible, and his songs heavy but VERY catchy.
It's obvious that Chris Holmes brought the energy to the band.
What? You mean Blackie.
@@Holly1978-q2d nah, chris was the heart of the band
I couldn’t agree more. Chris and Blackie together is what makes WASP exceptional. Holmes seat of your pants playing and energy is what is exciting
i really have to respect this band... they really always sounded live like they did on their albums...
Stet is decent at backing vocals too. Duda is awesome.
Except for Blackie and Holmes none of these guys were on their known albums
Yes ...THATS what talented musicians can achieve live ...And not that much overdubbs and overproduced sounds and ,,Tricks,, to record the Album....
Blackie with playback !!
Yeeeeesss!!!!
Blackie Lawless and Chris Holmes are the awesome!
Holy shit, the blew the roof off of that place!!!
Great band, Blackie is one of the best and most emotional songwriters in the world. Btw, the bassplayer sings good ;)
Sings well* not good.
WILD CHILD MY FAVORITE SONG.
🤘
Is it just me or does this just kick fucking ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stet Howland is a freakin' beast on the drum kit!!!
Completely shocked by how they sound live, and the voice 😅 wow, real fucking rockstars ❤
His voice has always been demonically beautiful or beautifully demonic, however you wanna put it. It's just so unique!
Haunting is the word I chose for his tone... but I like your description as well!

I love that, 😅. What you say is so 👍.
No playback fail it´s bassist Mike Duda´s voice .He had a very good voice.Just as good as blackie
They did pretty damn good. Blackie still has his voice. 🤘
For all the wild image, Chris really is a tone and taste monster! Awesome.
Every song on last command, rates!
This band always exceeds 100%. Loved this song and became an instant fan back when I was 14.
Backing vocals are awesome

same - we dressed as wasp, with cardboard guitars, and played them at school party 1984 or 85 something: "I wanna be somebody...."

This is pure fucking awesomeness!!!....a REAL LIVE BAND!!!
I wish I could've seen this concert. But I have the CD/DVD 🎉. This is by far the best live version of this song 🎵 that 've heard.😅

I witnessed blackie get hit with a battery ....wasp...raven opening for slayer. No one stood chance opening for slayer in the 80s
Chris holmes did always the greatest show
This voice is everything 🖤
I always described it as.... Haunting!.❤️
That intro!! The lyrics. Song is too perfect
Great Song, i love It!!!!!!! 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
It's a shame blackie and Chris Holmes can't patch it up!!!! Chris is a major chemistry in WASP'
Agreed 100%. As great as Blackie is, it's just not the same without Chris Holmes.
AN AWESOME CONCERT!!! WISH I'D BEEN THERE!!!!
I was!
Reminds me of my teenage time how I used to listen this song on repeat

As I heard one time, W.A.S.P. has a lot of respect by other bands & fans in Death Metal. That's pretty awesome.
GOD I LOVE THIS SONG
They’ve still got it 🤘🤘🤘🤘
What a fuck... great band !
Blackie Lawless? More like Blackie Flawless 😍
Blackie can still kick some ass its amazing. Hope hes back heals up ... they all were and still amazing..
Jeez they sound good! There so many bands that have good music but they cant perform live! Thank You Wasp Because You Totally Kick Rock N Roll Ass!!!
Wow! Sounds realy good!
Kings of american metal of all time.
that bass player sounds more like Blackie than Blackie does himself hahahahahaha
+Brandon Ward I smell playback.
blackie2380 I thought it was Johnny Rod whose voice sounded like Blackie's.
yes.Rod makes also backing vocals in some songs.like animal/wanna be somebody..
Probably because it's a tape. They always used tapes for the backing vocals, right back from the Live at the Lyceum video.
Bass player looks like a ladyboy
WASP, great band...even live! Love this band...fuckin' love it!
If you have good taste in music,.. It's hard not to.
