I started playing BB last month, it's my first ever souls game. I tried it years ago but couldn't get past central yharnam, now I'm at the endgame boss and last 2 DLC bosses. It's becoming my favourite game of all time and I love watching your videos and your channel. It's nice to see people still playing it after so many years (and newbies like me playing it too :P)
Great, was my first souls-game aswell and then I went through DS 3 -> DS 2 -> DS 1. I think they're all the best games I have ever played, and each of them unique in it's own way. DS2 gets the most hate, but I think it's uncalled for.

I know a lot of effort is put in creating a randomizer but still, to know how flexible the game was made to be able to experience enemy and boss behaviors "anywhere" is so impressive.
A lot of work was definitely put into it, and I'm still adding/fixing things. The reason why a lot of the enemies and bosses work so well anywhere, is there are event scripts that tell the bosses and enemies what to do. There is one event script per map and one common event script that will run on all maps. So by replacing the model, npc param, and think param, the enemy will take the look, AI, and stats of the new enemy, but will still be affected by events in the event script. For example, in the witches fight there are the events that make the witches invisible in the event script. After randomizing, the bosses will have the new AI, model, and stats, but will become invisible like the witches do, all because of the event scripts. Also, to make the models, AI, and visual effects work in all maps, the AI, map, and effects in each individual file had to be combined and added to each file. It didn't just work straight away, but the event scripts still would have.

I love watching these streams. The only downside is my lack of free time because of my 12 hour, 7 days a week work schedule. So I've resorted to skipping through the videos to find interesting highlights. I would love a highlights edit that cuts out some of the empty space, but I know that costs money and time so I'm not expecting it any time soon if ever.
If you have the option, Alien Isolation in VR or headphones with full surround in pitch black is always a good horror stream :P Darkwood is also surprisingly fucked up for a low res topdown game.

Hey, "Lake of Mud" actually did a whistle-only run, was pretty entertaining. As far as I can tell it wasn't glitched, just runes for extra QS bullets and Blood Vials, and lots of blood bullets.
My favorite part in this randomizer (at least the first 3 hours, havent seen more yet) was the witches fight... how did suzie get there lol (I know how she got there, but i was surprised to see another Boss in a Bossfight, without actually being the Boss you gotta kill, you know)
I was excited when he got the gravekeeper set bc it has the highest frenzy res of all sets… if he got a headpiece that had high res he probs could have enough to use his attack

3 hours in, so far this is the pthumerian descendant/elder and amelia run with a tablespoon of maria and queen yharnam, a dash of rom and a pinch of ebrietas
Those chalice sages are terrifying and cool. Not sure why fromsoft didn't put them in the main game or why they haven't made a similar enemy to them in the more recent titles.
Maybe the only thing I'd fix in the randomizer is that the rune/gem tool should be in the same place as the base game, just in case you don't get lucky with the upgrade items and get a +10 weapon early.
@zlnst6 Thankfully I don't have the DLC so I don't have to go through that. Personally the bosses that killed me the most are Ebrietas, with give or take 70 deaths and Gehrman with about 95.
