- Did you know there is a Certified Executor Advisor Network in Edmonton?
Through professional networking and public engagement, the Edmonton Chapter of CEAN exists for the betterment of Estates Literacy, assisting and raising awareness amongst Canadians of this often very misunderstood area of the law.
Please join us for a discussion with the CEAN Edmonton Chapter president, Sonia Egey-Samu, as she talks more about the CEAN network and how increased communication and interaction between CEAN and the fundraising profession could lead to mutually beneficial outcomes for everyone involved.
Sonia Egey-Samu PFP, CIM, CEA, MFA-P, FCSI
Over the past 17 years, Sonia has had the privilege of helping Albertan couples in/near Retirement have meaningful conversations to align their money with their deepest values. As a Retirement Tax & Estate Planner, she applies her passion for planning from a multi-disciplinary perspective that is unique in the industry today.
She founded her private practice, Clarity Wealth Counsel Inc., in 2014 after spending 10 years working at six of the major financial firms. Over the past several years her firm has continued to be awarded Top Advisory Team in St. Albert as they move relationships from Client to Donor, one plan at a time.
In 2020, she began a local chapter with CEAN (Certified Executor Advisors Network) Edmonton to promote Executor Literacy. The monthly Zoom meetings cover issues Executors may face in the course of their duties, along with a networking component at each monthly meeting. Promoting proactive conversations with Donors prior to death creates significant opportunities for a well-planned estate, and a willingness to discuss gift intentions. She believes it is never too early to start the dialogue when having the right conversations.
