Will somebody please tell me why I am so dang thrilled they found each other and got married??? I'm always glad to see people get married but these two were something special. Maybe it's because they are so perfectly yoked. She's as pretty as he is handsome, she's as feminine as he is masculine, they are both kind and their sense of humor melds well. I have a booth in an "antique mall" and I sell a lot like you, not many antiques, and it is going soooo well. you can sell all the good stuff you find that's too big to ship and it's like storage too.

Cheese Board: right below the top groove, where you tried to fit the knife in, looks to be a round magnet. Try putting the knife handle in the grove (blade facing down) with the metal blade going over the magnet, to hold it in place. 🙂
I remember Toe-po-gigeo. At the end he would always say, "Oh eddyyy, I looove you". I am older than you two and love that you point these things so we can remember.🤩👍

It was a thing in the early 80's to collect and display copper pots and pans. My neighbour at the time had them hanging all over the place on a pot hanger grid that hung from the ceiling. She had a couple of small shelves with moulds and small pieces. I never got into that look, but the pots you were showing us look like those display pots/pans.
I love The Sak handbags. They take up very little room when traveling. 👍🏻

I believe that small round dot at the top of the cheese board is magnetic and you lay the blade of the knife there to secure. Nice video and I love having mixed items on shelves while thrifting. It becomes a treasure hunt for sure.

When I realize how much more money I would have in retirement had I been a thrifter like Karen…🤑. Sigh….makes me sad. It wasn’t on my radar - finishing college, high demand career & raising 3 kiddos as a divorced parent.

You're a hoot! I died when you said, "If you want to be happy in life, marry a guy who shops more than you do". Excellent advice, but I have never met one of those. I have always wanted to a man who was a carpenter or an antiques/thrift shop owner. I would even settle for one of each. One could build me cabinets and shelves, and the other could stock them. LOL

The purse you think you saw 2 years ago is a great example of a Selling Model in many Vender Booths and the way Vendor's price items. Some, like me, value price the common items to shift the volume and make room for the next items. Price it right and it will sell. Others have the mindset to put the prices high, still expecting enough items to sell each month to pay their booth rent. For me, unique items stayed out of my booth (for the most part) and went to other venues. It's why many venders see their sales fail to pay their monthly rent. Talk to the manager about the turnover rate among their venders, or notice each time you visit if the venders you saw last time have moved on. It's an importnat question to ask when you are considering renting your first Booth. For me, it had to be both profitable and fun, or wasn't worth doing.🙂
The Celenite is a nice piece. It takes all the negativity out of your home. Plus if you have say a necklace or something put it on overnight and it clears it.

At age 62 I started selling on eBay. Knowing that you do it, Karen, made me more brave. I have a question, how long do you keep items in inventory? I know you’re a “long seller”, but how long before you give up on something?
My mom said I was enthralled with Dark Shadows the dark romance soap opera on day time TV .. she said I would run home from kindergarten to watch it... yeah I walked myself to and form school...what a weird kid I was

Ok. Let’s talk about readers. Put them on your head. Wear a crossbody purse. You need to get organized in your shopping. You are so organized in your shop and shipping. Time to plan ahead.
A crossbody loaded with camera equipment is too bulky/ heavy to carry around for hours 😊
@@lavenderclothesline need to check out Brighton. They have the cross organizers that work well for me. Like you I am always out there shopping. Since one hand is camera, think about organizer purse.
That is a humongous antique warehouse...wow so many great things! My only exception is that demonic-looking dragon mirror...YIKES
Schlage Hinges, in the bag with Drawer Pulls: If the hinges are sealed retail stock, it's an easy seller that will cover your Buy in Cost for the bag. UPC will scan fast, for a comp and you can list it with 2 -2 photos. Easy Shipper too. Just drop it into a bubble mailer. Lots of buyers don't live near a Home Depot or Lowes and if they are adding a door or doing some remodeling, then it's nice to get a matching NOS hardware pack.

I bought a pair of slip on Sevees and didn't like them. They weren't supportive at all. Also, I was able to meet Jim Shore last year. Super sweet. I love shipping dishes...they're quite easy to ship.

Mixed Aisles of hard goods. It's the normal way the Goodwills in our area are done every day. They do try to separate things like Board Games and Coffee Cups, but general household goods, tools & hardware are just shelved with little thought to organization. When you first showed Color Coding, years ago, I was surprised by it.

Topo Giggio was extremely popular in South America when I was growing up. I think it originated in Argentina. Or at least the translation we got was from there.
I have that shelf. You could hang it like that but I think you have it upside down. Note the plate rail at the back edge when flipped the other way.
If something is carved from a telephone pole smell it it will smell like creasote. You sound so happy. Hubby looks so happy. He speaks. I would seriously think about the booth. They re very expensive and take more work than you know. Just do your homework. Then you won't get burned. They definately need to be air conditioned. And one floor.

Large Brass and Wood Shelf: if the 4 top Brass Finials spin off, the Shelf could then be “flat packed” in 3 pieces (wood and 2 metal brackets) for shipping, to keep the box size manageable. That would take the box down to about 2-3”. When I do items that way, I say so in the listing and usually add 1 extra photo with the parts laid out flat on a desk after disassembly
As an alternative, buy it, take the Brass Fittings off to sell them by themselves and scrap the wood. Then it's a small shipper, in a padded Flat Rate Bubble Mailer. Good Brass should still command a fair price. 🙂
In the town I live near, most of our antique/vintage stores charge $10/sq.ft. It's been this charge for years. Sometimes it pays to live in a small town.

I bought the brass embellished shelf at Bombay Company a lot of years ago.
Karen and Roger, A booth would be a good idea. You could sell your artwork, larger lamps and glassware that is too heavy or fragile to ship. Hi sweetie,. I have some copper & brass pans. One is marked France & the other Italy. The ones you were looking at weren't the real deal. Marks should be around the handle or edge of pan under handle. They are very heavy to ship but for your own cooking, it's amazing. That's why they only use those pots & pans in fancy French or super expensive Restaurants.
I can't believe how good the prices were at this mall. It was really great and you guys scored well! Hope to see you get a booth. It is a lot of fun and I really enjoy having a booth.

Key Fob Bag of Goodies: Since I get many such lots in from Estate Auctions I don't always just put them up as they come. First, I dump the bag and look for any gems that are unique enough to sell separately. Often there are 1 or 2 items that will pull in $20 a piece. Then, I push the contents into logical groups and open up a couple more such bags. A logical group might be Key Fobs, taken from multiple bags. Then a group of Bar items, like corkscrews and can openers. What I try not to do is make the listing Title too Complicated, having too many dissimilar items included. For instance, I wouldn't leave Pocket Knives in with Key Fobs. Preferring to add them to a Pocket Knife lot.
Having said that, however, from time to time I do run a mixed lot Titled: Junk Drawer and they do sell, depending on the mix, but can be very long tailed and often result in messages from potential buyers asking me to separate out something for them. Usually they don't like the price I quote them for the service, since it means more work for me.🙂
