I have found you and another math teacher here on youtube that I think are excellent. I had a conversation with my son's 7th-grade math teacher many years ago that I will never forget. I called him on the phone to discuss my son's progress in his 7th-grade math class. We had a scheduling conflict because he was taking night courses in college. I said something like Oh, taking more math classes? He answered, "no. I know enough math to teach 7th graders, I don't want to get too far over their heads. I am taking child psychology courses to learn how to better explain things on their level". Brilliant! That was in the mid '70s and I have never forgotten what he said.
I have always been interested in math but not especially proficient at it. Not terrible but always struggled a bit. I took a precalculus course at a college many years ago where I struggled to get an average grade. The professor had no sense of humor and was very strict. So while my grade was not so good I did learn how to study math from him. Before that I didn't really know there was actually a method to studying math. Later I took some more math courses at a good junior college just for my own satisfaction. I started over. I took a beginning algebra course, college algebra, trig, and analytical geometry. I got A's in all of them because now I knew how to study math. I stumbled across your video on graphing linear equations and think I now clearly understand y=mx+b better than I ever have. I got through it before but now it is crystal clear. Thank you/
Wow finally someone who understands I feel like I’ve spent so much money on ged courses but it’s like the teachers don’t explain it right or they even don’t know what they r talking about it confuses them then confuses us it’s just a whole mix up and I’m tired of paying money for all these courses and online course and In school courses I’m done paying all this money just to not get it. Definitely looking forward of watching ur videos.
My problem is a lack of enthusiasm for math as a subject. Unfortunately, I need it for better employment but learning it is so hard when I have no interest in it. It is too much to learn in a short period of time and I'm not even talking about the hard stuff just 5th and 6th-grade math. 😂

That said, I find it disappointing that your efforts to teach concepts around celestial navigation, including your comments, are being used around the conspiracy theory communities to prop up misinformation. This includes people who actually think Earth is flat and worse still, promote this nonsense to children. So your channel is being promoted as though you are accepting that absurdity. I’m 70 years old I’m an older man math was not my good subject I didn’t like it reading was what I liked and that doesn’t help much when it comes to math I’m making getting into making computers. I have to know how many resistors and transitions to use in my math is lousy completely lousy I need to start off fresh the simple stuff can you help me

That makes 40.25. I know everything has changed due to the sissy lala kids out there, but math stays the same. I believe five nickels equals 25cents So the answer is 4 ten dollar bills and 6 nickels. Is it not?
