Hi Pravus. The food poisoning in your polluted water comes from your toilets as every time they are used, germs are deposited by the dupes into the water. The germy polluted water goes through the water sieve, turns into "clean water" that is still germy, known as "grey water". You can use this grey water for the toilets and such, but not for cooking as your dupes would get really sick. I suggest 2 ways to solve your current problem. 1. You can use a liquid tepidizer to heat the water to I think 80 degrees (don't quote me on that) and then the germs will die really quickly in the hot environment. The advantage of this is you don't need to change your current system much yet still get actual clean "clean water". The down side is the tepidizers I think use quite a bit of power. 2. You can just abandon the idea of killing the germs in the current water system and accept it as your new "grey water" that can only be used for a few things (cooking not included). You should then tap the cold steam vent you found and build another system around it to harness the renewable water. Good side is less micro-managing needed and way less power consumption. Down side is you have to build an entirely new system with new piping and stuff. Hope this helps.
@@tttheemeraldsword7528 probably would work too, but in my experience with chlorine it slowly dissapears if it contacts any other gasses such as polluted oxygen, or also in the tech tree there are these background tiles, that "prevent heat, gas, and other things to evaporate into space", whitch would probably help.
If he read this, it's not going to happen for several episodes. And it's not always that he is very smart, considering there is no airlock at the bottom. If he was smart he would think, and also prioritize to use all that delicious steam energy, so that he would have clean water and a source of eternal power.
hey, Pravus, you can use the two geysers to boil out the germs using the radiant pipes, then all you would have to do is cool it back down to use it; so in that vein I would suggest that you re-work your water system to pull the polluted water over to the geysers using a germ sensor stop-gate at the geysers, then the sieve to turn it to clean water, then cool it either using the aqua-tuners ( would need 2 or 3 in sequence to drop it fast enough) or a temp gate to keep cycling the water through the same tuner till it got cold enough, Or just dump the hot clean water into the cold biome tank you just made and let it cool naturally
Pravus you should put the farm away from the water and at the bottom so its away from the heat, and if your ok with exploiting the game a bit use metal tile that gets colder water/oil whatever on it and it cools down the liquid a lot
Yeah, didn't see that might be the case, but all the germs come from the water sieve, whitch turns polluted water into normal water back again so it can be used by bathrooms and such again, but doesn't get rid of the germs, none of them, that's why they were multiplying in his water supply even in clean water. The lavatories, sinks and farm tiles don't mind germy water and negate it, but if the water is bottled all the germs are taken.

Remember, if the amount of water is going up, so will the amount of germs, even if the number of germs per liter is going down.

Hi Pravus you could use the clock to time the on/off switch for you water filter that way it would be fully automated.

try putting it in an area with a lot of chlorine. Bleachstone is purifying by emitting it so a chlorine area might work.
