Nice vid. I prefer the Nameless for my rhythm guitars, and use the Gojira for leads, atmospheric and clean sections, and occasionally use the Gojira in the front of the signal chain to use its pitch shifter with the Nameless for very downtuned riffs (since I use a 7 string in drop A typically but occasionally do drop E or lower depending on the riff).

Great video man, straight to the point and concise. I've only tried the Gojira so far and while I like it, there's a weird mid-range boost that sounds a bit weird to me. I can hear it in your demo here as well. It sounds like the Nameless and Nolly have a slightly more scooped sound. I'm gonna try those next to see what fits best for my style without having to EQ too much.
Yeah, I know what you mean about the Gojira. It’s not something you can EQ out, either. I’ve tried. It definitely sets it apart from the others but it’s not my favorite rhythm tone.
@@mattmarsili2032 True, I couldn't manage to EQ it out either, I guess it's just part of the amp's tone. I just subscribed and will be looking forward to more Shootouts and content. This is one of the first times where the guitar tones in a video actually sound like what I'm hearing through my own setup. I think it's because our recording setup is very similar lol

Really like how you compared them all, my personal choice is Gojira then Nolly.
Thanks for mixing the riffs up; this was better than most comparisons I’ve watched. Mid paced riffs, trem picks, open chords, palm mutes; you get the full flavor of each pluggin in many contexts. The Nameless is king, then SLO, Nolly, and Gojira, for the more OSDM and trad metal I play. But they are all outstanding.

Sorry, man lol. I’d say I use the Gojira more in standalone but when it comes to recording, I usually go nameless.

I would be more than happy to play with any of these tones! I love them all! But if I had to pick just one ..I would say the Gojira.

Nice. Did a similar - in the mix of our live band recording NAMELESS sat as the most real and sat well, Goj was great and tight but not 💯 - Nolly was good . Nameless maybe the older but won out. Goj is wicked though!!! Choice for me to buy NAMELESS or GOJ🤔
you can really hear the pick attack on the gojira one and nameless has alot more bottom end. nolly is brighter. i guess its all in what your tastes are. all of them sounded good. i personally like the Soldano.

Soldano is grimey and I love that but I think I’d use the archetype gojira more than anything else

Yeah the Soldano is definitely the most unique but for my style of playing it’s my least favorite. It’s just not very tight for the way I pick. Probably badass for leads, though. The Nameless and the Gojira slay on chugs and the midrange of the Nolly I like for string skipping kind of riffs.
And I love this guitar. I’ll probably buy an Aries one day, too.
Actually the Soldano is growing on me

In this example I would say the Gojira amp slays the others hands down. The gain structure of the nameless is cool but the truth is the tone is buried in there it, too much hiss on the chugs.....granted a few teaks with eq would probably solve that....
sigh.... none of them is clearly better than the other :D tough call! All of them great quality, different flavors.
I feel like nameless would be good for some fucking chunky pantera licks, but all of these sound like they’re good for something

The nameless sounds 100x better, the others sound flat in comparison.
