Retired Firefighter Paramedic of 27 years. Other than humans I've helped horses, cats, dogs and raccoons....Anne, you did a wonderful job. Mama goat...nice job. I needed this...it raised my spirits. Tears...good happy tears. Thanks so very much. It's life....beautiful
This gives me like Vietnam flashbacks from when I was a kid and my dad waking me up at 2 am because our sheep were going into labor. I remember 1 time he woke me up at 1 AM and the first birth was kinda quick but when we were going to go to sleep again, my dad noticed 4 more sheep were showing labor signs and 10 minutes later all of em went into labor at the same time. I didn't get to sleep that night and I had like 4 tests at school that day so I had to haul my tired ass to school as well
WARNING: Do not play the "Anne says Buddy" drinking game while watching this video! Congrats on the successful birthing, Anne! The PNW misses you. Looking forward to seeing the School progress.
My sister just gave birth to her second baby today. I couldn't see her and the baby due to the hospital's new regulations during this pandemic. However, watching this video makes me happy. New lives regardless human or animal gave so much joy to our own life. Hope you get your rest after all your hardworks, Anne!
Go Brandi!!! Aw that' so amazing. Helped our lab pup once and it was such an amazing experience to be present for. She had 6 births but we lost the last one unfortunately. It's so awesome to see how quickly they are up on their feet. Great to have your mom there with you to help out. Thank you so much for sharing Anne and Happy Christmas to you and your family. Happy Christmas to all reading this also
just like kids - you get one clean and the other one makes a mess of both. this video was really heart warming. something amazing that i really needed now with the stress of current events and hate in our country.
miracles in the fold...the miracle of new life, and in the week of Christmas, of course a Christmas miracle...a beautiful way to begin the day. thank you for sharing Anne...
Anne, you are unbelievably, gifted, No where else can I see so much of real life and love up close and personal. You are the total package of what it means to be involved in life in every way possible. I am a Yoga student, and when I do deep meditation I place my consciousness on one aspect of God and keep it there as long as possible. Some are subtle, some are profound. Tonight I saw an aspect of God that is the totality of what he is about. Life and love in it's simplest form yet the greatest example of how God creates life and how beautiful and precious it can be even in the animal kingdom. Thank you so very much for sharing this experience, my friend.
That was amazing Anne. Great discussion on being ready for the kidding process. You definitely have that trade covered. Best wishes and blessings for a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year. Take care, stay well and enjoy those beautiful babies.
It reminds of when my brother helped deliver a baby calf in his pasture during the summer about 38 years ago! It sure was fascinating to watch! I can't get over how big the first kid was compared to the second one! Hope they both do well!... Anne I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year! 🇨🇦🎄☃️👼⛸️❄️🎅🤶🧦🧣🧤💗😀
That was so totally awesome. 👍🏽 And my 3 month old Muscovy, Syd was glued to the video watching from start to finish, and he was even wagging his tail when the kids came out! hehehehe Wish I could post photos in here....
Hi, Anne I am your one of the regular subscriber. Can you please make video of wooden japanese TORI GATE . I really appreciate for all your videos thank you so much...
Random but what's the brand of that purple jacket you're wearing 😂 I used to have a jacket just like that and I loved it and want another for those cold days
Such a beautiful process giving birth is. Anne I'm curious about you breeding them at one year. I have heard that you shouldn't breed Nigerian's before 18 months.
I’m sure there are different schools of thought, but I go by the principle that they should be 80% of their fully grown size before breeding. That generally happens around 8-9 months old. The longer you wait to breed, the more issues that can develop. In the wild, they’d start getting bred as early as 4-5 months.
A 4 pound Kidd, no wonder she was yelling. That big kid is going to grow so fast. Easy to see why he wasn't able to latch on a teat when he has to contort himself.
I’ll more than likely just give most of that information away for free here on TH-cam, because so much of it I’ve learned from other people here! The Modern Day Settler is a fantastic resource, for one.
Baby Goat do do do dOH MY G*** WHGAT is THAT! OMG Fast forward Farst forward Farst Forward! Alien EGG SSACKS!!! I swear! . . . OOh, okay, okay. Baby Goats! do do do do do do =D SORRY City boy here. Love your Vids. You do wonderful work =)
Yep, what Wendell said- it was below freezing in the barn, so we try to get the babies dry as quickly as possible. As long as mama helps with the process, plenty of bonding takes place.
It’s interesting how we start labeling new life as soon as they enter our dimension... that is a program. Luckily, we can de-program. Loving and accepting as is... a gift from God, it’s very own expression of God, in our care. The larger goat isn’t fat. It’s only bigger because you have the others to compare it to. If it came out as a single kid, those words would not come out. Point being: receive, love 💗 and accept for what is: an expression of God. Labels limit all life. I can bet if you keep calling that goat “fat” it will get fat when it grows up because you programmed it that way, I love your channel and this title caught my eye because I love 💗 Brandi Carlisle! I used to go listen to her in QA before she got famous. What a great tutorial! You are a smart, kind, loving nurturer! I bet there is a way to “turn” the breach baby... just as human midwives do. Bless you and your family- Merry Christmas 🎄

🤣🤣🤣 yes, that would be a very dangerous game.
Maybe she needs to work that idea into merch. Could make some money, buddy.
I like the jump scare announcement that there's another baby lol.
Hahaha right?! I was so impressed it just took one push!

Aww. Great job helping mama! That was a tough one. Huge kid with one arm stuck back. Adorable!
This one was easy compared to some of the others we had this time, but nonetheless I’m glad I was there :)
Congratulations on a safe and healthy delivery of the two kids.
Thank you!

Isn’t that crazy! Usually the boys come first, and they’re usually a lot bigger than the girls. But this was an exceptional difference!

This was awesome! Super informative, and the commentary is ALWAYS my fav 😂 "how did you get so fat?" "Baby goat screams"
00:05 *Holy goat* - that fellow scares the hell out of me. These two are *so* cute.
Amazing woman, not just another pretty face.
In a former or future life Anne is a L&D nurse. Do you plan on keeping all 9 babies or do they have forever homes lined up?
A 4 pound Kidd, no wonder she was yelling. That big kid is going to grow so fast. Easy to see why he wasn't able to latch on a teat when he has to contort himself.
Haha yeah he’s a big boy. He figured it out though.
was like watching Call the Midwife
If you can... give to your local food bank. Happy Holidays!!!
What the name of the vitamins you gave the kids and Mom?
Simpler than this...en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torii ....it's for the garden entrance.
Goat midwifery...wow!
Pretty cool but don't goats give birth naturally in the wild?
Got some baby's
Haha yep!
Did you start with a milk trained goats or did you train them??
I trained them :)
Can u make a list of all the things in ur birthing bag
birthing positions cheat sheet
sterile gloves
lube
molasses
replamin paste
nutridrench
probios paste
jump start powder
drench gun
vitamin B and 22g syringe
thermometer
colostrum powder
baby bottle with prichard nipple
heating pad
hair dryer
baby wipes
clean towels and washcloths
Clippers/scissors
That goat weighed more than I did at birth.
Wow! Small baby! Huge goat ;)
Agreed, I was so small My mom had to use doll clothes for me. (this is back in 70s and not really a line for premie clothing)
How do you get the mom goat to hold that thermometer under her tongue? Lol
Hahahaha different tongue 😬😜
🐐👶😍
OMG my eyes have been wide open since you said Aretha Franklin
Hahaha
watch Blue cactus Dairy Goats
Is that another TH-cam channel?
👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤
I hope you offer a class on goats. Do you sell the kids?

😊👍🏻🐐👊🏻
ok with the help of the brth, but why did you dry the little goats with a towel and don't you let the mum lick it's babies and dry by itself?
Hope you don’t mind if I reply. I raise goats. It’s cold, the kids won’t suckle unless their body temp is above 100. Normal temp is 101 - 103.
Yep, what Wendell said- it was below freezing in the barn, so we try to get the babies dry as quickly as possible. As long as mama helps with the process, plenty of bonding takes place.
@@wendellsullivan2341 thanks for the info!
@@AnneofAllTrades thanks for the info!
why don't you rise real goats, i mean regular big goats? They produce a lot of milk...
Because Nigerian dwarf milk is higher quality- better butterfat ratios.
Soooooo interfering. Leave them alone.
You are a goat mid wife.
Haha pretty much!
Why did I watch this....🤢
