TLDR: stop investing any silver in DP gear, all goes to damage. Get a perfect damage and a perfect defence artifact/lifestones. If you grind in an area where you need DP equip the defence artifacts. If you already have enough dp use the damage artifacts. What I would like a video about is AP vs human damage vs accuracy explained for PvP. Also taking into account the possible change toward a new meta with lots of tanky classes using full DP lightstones.
Hit the nail on the head.. you save more silver in the long run by taking advantage of the defensive combos. Ultimately this allows you to buy more AP/Accuracy instead of focusing on defensive gains early on.
As a DISGUSTING casual, I just need help understanding the difference between monster ap and melee ap, (im just a melee player) because im trying to get my artifacts and everyone says the monster damage one is best for pve, but i dont know why thats "best" if it only works on monsters but not all enemies are monsters. how big a difference is 6 monster ap vs 4 melee ap?
@@slashunstuck Normal AP works for both PvP and PvE. Monster damage only works for PvE. Human damage works for PvP and against human mobs (Pila Ku, Biraghi, Blood mona). The difference between 4ap vs 6monstet damage is small, but it adds up. There are many types of items that let you choose between normal ap/monster/human. Full human vs full monster makes a huge difference.
@@slashunstuck monster ap is counted as .7 of 1 ap so 6 monster ap is 4.2 vs the 4 melee ap. Also check to see if you character is actually categorized as melee damage type. For example, I play tamer and we do melee attacks but it is categorized as magic damage.
easiest and somewhat op are x4 lightstone earth:waves + x2 evasion artifacts. its like equiping pen sicil/centaurs without sacrificing 2-3 ap brackets.
@@BiceptimusPrime I think he's trying to say that you get the evasion of sicil + centaur (99 evasion) without wearing them and getting ap instead if you run the 4 piece waves with lesha all evasion artifacts (60 evasion). so its kinda close but not really cause its still a 7.8% hitrate diff with 39 more evasion but it certainly gives alot more option to gain more ap.

I'm alrdy running the new eva lightstone comb + eva artifacts and full evasion crystal Set on my ninja and its just completly dumb. You dont even need to waste your slots for eva accs. I will abuse this meta so much 😂
Great video homie! I think I will run 2x acc artifact + the BiS DR setup. 16 acc + tank stats sounds great. Also I'd rather grind mobs than scrolls which is a big reason for artifact choice.

The Wild: Kamasylvia ( Extra Damage to Kamasylvian: +30) or Vicious Shadows (Extra AP Against Monsters: +13 , Additional Back Attack Damage: +6%, Critical Hit Damage: +3%) ? Or something else? The numbers include the combo and individual lightstone effects.
It probably depends on the rest of your setup and if you can sacrifice the crit and back attack damage then the damage is probably better, but the other setup can have more potential.

Yeah, its kinda big. But you also get the 200hp, and in some cases the evasion works too, depending on who is hitting you. You cant go wrong with 30dr tho
Hi man, hope u doing good! I was watching ur video and stream about artifact building, and i was wondering which pve offensive set should i do for all my chars (season/main). I'm hesitating between the full ap monster damage set or the one with less Ap but back/down damage and 3% critical damage. I'm grinding at elvia/oluns right now, and i feel like maybe i will not be able to "squeeze" all the potential of that set with special damage, because some mobs can not be CCed, so, better 5% back dmg and 3% crit, or better full ap vs monsters? TYVM!
I would build any of the 2 options; 1) Blur (dont remember the stones, check Garmoth). Its the one with -80% resist 2) Heart+Waves+Iron Wall +Any of the ones to get the combo. There are several options for the last stone, different resist versions that are on the market and ez to make. Im using this myself

Yes =) The combo is good for DR, despite having Evasion on it - so you can kinda guess how insane it will be on Evasion! There is an alternative for Evasion, which is more tanky - its the one called Blurr. However it gives you -80% resist, so it only is worth using on classes where you can stay protected and dont care about resist.

I know that the dr rate is a precentage of damage blocked from the attackers damage so if a mob hits me for 100 and I have 15% I only get hit for 85. What I don't get though is how the flat dr number (in my case 302) works? Does it block a flat ammount of damage? For examble in the stats I have arround 300 meele attack dr. Does that mean it blocks 300 from the attacks damage or does it scale somehow? I also don't have much silver so I couldn't get BIS lightstones so I got the one that gives me 30 dr in total do you think that's a good one? Thanks!

Am i missing something how are you getting these stats? Option 1 defensive DR +18, eva +33, hp +200, special eva +3%...I'm looking at individuals items and don't see how this adds up. Is there a set bonus multiplier?

In general, the 20 monster dr, -6% monster dmg one. There will be cases where for an evasion build, the pvp version would actually be better, but its hard to calculate cus you would need to know the targets acc, and it would depend on your DR brackets etc. When dealing with % dmg reduction, the math is more complex. Also, in todays patch notes, they (out of nowhere), had a post about changing the Monster DR Formular (i dont remember them EVER doing that before). So monster DR is now apparently better than before. How much? No clue. TLDR: The monster DR one should be better in pve in almost all cases!
Depending on which version you are going for, you can make one of each fairly easily. Day 2 of artifacts, i completed my placeholder pve and pvp combo. None of them are the BIS options, but they are really big improvements! Which one to focus on first is up to you - if you are like 99% pve, then do that first imo!
Its a concept called "effective health". I can try and illustrate it. - If you have 100hp, and 0 dmg reduction, and you get hit by an attack doing 100damage, you die in 1 hit. If you gain 100hp you now require 2 hits to die. - If you have 100hp, and 50% dmg reduction, you die in 2 hits (you have 200 effective hp). If you gain 100 more hp, you now die in 4(!) hits. So the more damage reduction / evasion you have, the more effective HP becomes. But the HP you have, the more effect Damage reduction/evasion becomes, because any amount of DR/Eva, affects ALL of the HP you already have. So its a balancing thing. There is alot of math behind it, but, the balanced versions quite abit better for tankiness
yep. Its actually that good. Its hard to make, so dont expect to be able to get it completed for a while (the special att evasion crystal is very very rare). Im personally using the 30dr Combo atm, while i work on making the Option 1!
Seems the places have very different drop rates! I am not sure which is the best one for Wind, i havnt gotten to that part of my grind yet, but might be worth trying a different spot!

I do address this several times in the video, but yes ofc, over time you will be able to get both. But you still wont have unlimited silver. So your silver is still going to be better spend on more AP in gear (for the most part), and just using the DP Combo for survival gains.
Its all about trade offs! You would be better off using the tank artifacts, and then investing your silver into accuracy from gear instead - but if you want to do that AND use the accu combo, then yes, its pretty sick dmg :D
The silver value of these combos is extremely inflated because you are comparing artifacts to having nothing at all - but this comparison makes no sense. We now have access to artifacts, which means you can run a bare minimum set to get closer to reaching the stats of these combos, instead of doing ridiculous caphras upgrades. For example: 2x Waves + 2x Iron Wall: 18 DR, 30 EVA This set is made of extremely cheap lightstones. Its current silver value is 20m (EU marketboard). Comparing this bare minimum option to Option 1, you get an additional 3 EVA, 200 Max HP, 3% special attack evasion. The silver value of these stats would be correct, but only in a world where artifact slots didn't exist.
I dont think you quite understood the video. Yes, the actual artifacts/combos are not that expensive... thats kinda the point. You cant compare the combos value to the combos value, that makes no sense. If you are using the defensive combo, you are not using the offensive combo - and vise versa. The video comparisons are very legit. I suggest rewatching it!
Eventually, you will ofc. But its better to stay at C9, get the defensive artifacts, and spend the money you would have on c20, on offensive items instead. If you wanna go super tanky, you can ofc go for c20 AND the artifacts! Its more about understanding the value of the artifacts, and how to use them to best balance your build with our limited silver
Yeah, the artifacts are hard to get from Grinding. If you are grinding for the lightstones - i hear Stars End is pretty bad. Red Stones is apparently very very high rate in Aakman
I got my melee acc from starts end towers within 55 minutes or so and only 1 red light stone. Seems like I got RNG carried. I am going to try Aakman in a minute
shouldnt it be the other way around? even tho AP artifacts gives you less worth silver-wise, but it's more difficult to upgrade AP gear than DP. So maybe use AP artifacts and put ur actual silver into DP gear?

Yes, its quite abit better. Exactly how much we dont know, since they in the same patch changed the Formular for Monster DR (to make it better).

Hey! I'd def go the back and crit dmg. It also works both at Elvia and Oluns. Backattacks are fairly easy to land, no need for CC to set it up =)

What are your thoughts on the 6swords lightstone combo to get more acc for a class like ninja? Also considering people having more eva now :)
Its all about trade offs! You would be better off using the tank artifacts, and then investing your silver into accuracy from gear instead - but if you want to do that AND use the accu combo, then yes, its pretty sick dmg :D

Depends if you are stacking resist or not.
The silver value of these combos is extremely inflated because you are comparing artifacts to having nothing at all - but this comparison makes no sense. We now have access to artifacts, which means you can run a bare minimum set to get closer to reaching the stats of these combos, instead of doing ridiculous caphras upgrades. For example:
2x Waves + 2x Iron Wall: 18 DR, 30 EVA
This set is made of extremely cheap lightstones. Its current silver value is 20m (EU marketboard).
Comparing this bare minimum option to Option 1, you get an additional 3 EVA, 200 Max HP, 3% special attack evasion.
The silver value of these stats would be correct, but only in a world where artifact slots didn't exist.

Yes, the actual artifacts/combos are not that expensive... thats kinda the point. You cant compare the combos value to the combos value, that makes no sense.
If you are using the defensive combo, you are not using the offensive combo - and vise versa.
The video comparisons are very legit. I suggest rewatching it!

Eventually, you will ofc. But its better to stay at C9, get the defensive artifacts, and spend the money you would have on c20, on offensive items instead. If you wanna go super tanky, you can ofc go for c20 AND the artifacts!
Its more about understanding the value of the artifacts, and how to use them to best balance your build with our limited silver
grinding starend for acc artifact，hard to get it than i thought...
Yeah, the artifacts are hard to get from Grinding. If you are grinding for the lightstones - i hear Stars End is pretty bad. Red Stones is apparently very very high rate in Aakman
I got my melee acc from starts end towers within 55 minutes or so and only 1 red light stone. Seems like I got RNG carried. I am going to try Aakman in a minute
shouldnt it be the other way around? even tho AP artifacts gives you less worth silver-wise, but it's more difficult to upgrade AP gear than DP. So maybe use AP artifacts and put ur actual silver into DP gear?
