Unfortunately, we got stopped by Asbury staff when we tried to interview students standing in line for the event last night. So we didn't record any short interviews. Bummer. The good news is that I was able to make it in the worship service. I took some video clips on my nice camera and plan to use them as B-roll for my interview with Lena Marlowe (a student) and Dr. Craig Keener (a professor) we'll be filming this afternoon. I plan to either make a longer post or a short video on what it was like being in the worship service at Asbury. What I can say here, shortly, is that I sensed God's presence.
That is unfortunate... What is also a bummer is seeing you trade in biblical Christianity for "another gospel" presented by the Roman Catholic Church and all the extra-biblical, unbiblical and false claims, teachings and practices that go along with that. 😥🙏
Cameron went through a very lengthy, costly and in-depth process becoming Catholic. Like many others who study and pray their way into the Church. Your comment is both hostile and ignorant.
@@st.saturninia9179 Nobody prays their way to Catholicism. You don't get to the Catholic Church by following what the Scriptures say. Your comment is both hostile and ignorant.
@Jesse Bryant I became Catholic by reading the scriptures and praying not to become Catholic. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. Whoever hears the truth hears his voice, and the Church spoke truth. Even with all my resistance, I could not deny my Lord who called day and night for me to join his Church. The Church has the whole Bible, not just parts, and she does not ignore the scriptures that you would ignore because you find them inconvenient.
Try Lourdes in France. 6 Million people a year go there (that's Asbury's 50K every 3 days, rinse and repeat). The lines never stop. The prayer never stops. The healings never stop. The revival never stops.
@travisrose7164 the Catholic word "and" is needed here. Its is a pilgrimage because you have to go there. And (there is that Catholic word) it is a revival because God is at work there in ways that revive his people in special ways. People travel to Asbury (pilgrim journey) because they believe there is something happening in that particular GPS. As Catholics we have a robust theology for all of this and it can be seen all over the world through all of Church history.
time to pray deeply, and ask The Lord to make His presence known all around the world, leading to a spiritual awakening. We need revival. Stay in His Word now and pray

So awesome that you are in Kentucky and at the Asbury Revival! I don’t know how long you will be in the state, but if you are able you’re more than welcome at Berea United Pentecostal Church! I always thought revival was something different or special. I haven’t seen anything that doesn’t go on in charismatic churches 10,000 times every Sunday. How does cramming a weeks worth of church services into a single event make it more significant?
The fact that people don’t want to leave. Sounds like the Presence of God there has been authentic and tangible, causing people to repent and worship him.
@@silver292 , why would they want to leave? Everybody there is claiming that God is producing "miracles." @Gloria Gregory And it gives all the many openly and unrepentant lgbqxyz students and staff time to manipulate and deceive the younger people without being called out for their evil doings. The truth of this evil event will come out.
My observations, from a Christian universalist. I really didn't care for the most part about the doctrines that street preacher was blowing out on his bullhorn. Most of what I heard out of them are false and obviously focused on the evil in humankind, indeed we need to speak to these but again that's more important for the spiritually matured to discuss in our councils or between those smaller parties requiring counseling. I wonder where the mission is.. where's the gospel (The Victorious News that is Good) The assembly is massive. That's very interesting to witness and speaks to a possibility of people really hoping to gain a sense of not only discipleship and learning about the faith but also for the less holy inclined of which spirits are inspired in individuals that seek large groups to influence. For one ought not to get consumed by the monumentality of the throngs but consider the surreptitious possibilities that are manifested within them as well as look for those who really are leading good sermons and speaking a good word. Again this is for the individual to spiritually discern and not something that individuals ought to come in and "us versus them (or him or her)" about. Really I'm unsure what's caused the pilgrimage for so many other than the fact that there are a lot of people attending this assembly. I think many already have believed for some time who have come and others have the thoughts to exploit who have come. Be discerning. So yeah, I'm honestly critical. What's more important to me as what I would call a true revival is people living more like faithful servants everywhere all the time and making more local strides to tip the scales back from the weight of all the hysteria and degeneracy in our cultures of the world today. A true revival as I've understood it would shift the focus in the streams of culture and day to day activities. Imagine more people who actually wouldn't sell out nor succumb to threats actually leading politics, imagine more activity centers that offer services that help people occupy their time with productive means, imagine more youth outreach, imagine more communal feeds where the down and out can recover, etc. These are our alms to give, physical recovery and spiritual profits and spiritual restitution. I hope all is well with you all who have read this. Please think about what you can offer to create a true revival for now and our future instead of something that's likely to pass and perhaps rakes a few nearer to what they are already destined to go toward while others are raked against such directions and found nothing special or see the exploits that was brought about from the unclean inspiration, and thus missed the gifts that came from the Holy One. Again be discerning. In Christ's blessed name be well! - Your Quality Apologist
A prophetic word.. revival is God sent.. not flesh desired! Revival comes when prayer supercedes praise. JESUS is exalted over Holy Spirit expresson.. and Righteousness (fruit) LORDSHIP supercedes POWER (Gifts) EXPERIENCE
Am I the only person disturbed by what is going on? Originally, this was an outpouring of the holy spirit to this university. It was peaceful and in order. People were repenting and being restored. It was a peaceful outpouring. It was spread to invite other colleges to come and then spread back to their universities. What I hear instead are adults who feel the need to take control, and people blowing shofars. Street preachers trying to condemn and guilt people into repentance As if the only way the holy spirit will save you is through powerful preaching and making people feel guilty. Telling women they must hear through their husbands. It seems like the over 25 crowd is trying to take over an outpouring destined for the youth. If they are led of God, why take a megaphone to draw attention to themselves. That's what pushed people away. I too yearned to go. But I felt that this is meant for the younger generation to be restored into a loving Christ centered outpouring. And yes, that does include repentance. But guilting is not God's way. That's a human interpretation. It is the youth, mentored by their leaders, who will bring revival to the rest of us.
@@babyqueen2030he point here is that it's either spontaneous brought on by God or it's planned in someone's calendar for it to happen, get it now? It's the different between a revival and an extended worship event organised by humans
More people should be thinking about hellfire. Once you die your eternal fate is sealed. The false religions present a false messiah deceiving people to sin yet they think everything is fine.
Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of eternal life to all who trust Him alone for salvation. This means that saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ (alone) for salvation.
The great commission is that Christians go out into the world, and preach the gospel to all creation, making disciples and baptizing them. It is never to bring the world into one specific geographical place as if that place hold the Spirit of God exclusively. It is sad when it’s emotionally based like this because once that high peak is gone, all the thrill seekers will be left empty and more confused than when they walked in. Remember that the Bible says that nobody seeks for God. The true seeker of God will find him in the preaching of the gospel only. Not in speaking in tongues! Not in placing your hands and praying for healing! And not in all these miraculous supernatural imitations. Repent and believe in the gospel is the command to be saved. Deny yourself if you want to follow Christ is the command to be saved. I don’t see any of this here.
Glad to see the enthusiasm as our God is good….but I am not for megaphones… it’s obnoxious to me as a believer… maybe take that voice to the football stadium… I am aware of the Muslim call to prayer as they broadcast loudly in the open community…I personally would like to ban loud street broadcasting…sure don’t want to hear either over loud speakers, unless at a rally in a stadium..

I can get on board with some of the ideas of contraception, but I’ve been having a hard time wrapping my head around the idea that sex between a married couple must also be for the purpose of procreation, for example, women can’t (or maybe shouldn’t if another pregnancy can happen at that time?) get pregnant if they’re already pregnant, so what is the purpose of having sex then? Or are you not supposed to? I think practically contraception takes the fun out of sex. Why would I care about having that emotional high if there’s nothing more to it. This seems to clearly be an "event", but not a revival. Take a look at some history on this subject. I'm not saying one way or another, but just know that if it is actually a move of God, nothing and no one could shut it down. So, we shall see what fruits sprout from this. God bless all.
The Bible says in the book of John. Test the ‘spirit(s)’ to see if it’s a spirit gifted to you from GOD…IF IT IS, such a person WILL automatically, naturally, willingly give testimony that Jesus Christ was/is GOD IN THE FLESH….OK, I say this because To a Christian, The name of God is Jesus, and we worship him, not a ‘spirit’. The Bible says Jesus himself left a gift, a helper, the Holy Spirit to his personally chosen followers. The Holy Spirit VS a spirit that which comes from Satan, will worship Jesus, will give all credit to Jesus, will focus on Jesus. My example here is to prove that the so called spirit or angel that came to Muhammad of Islam, was Not a spirit from God, nor was the spirit that came to Joseph Smith of Mormonism…..all of this falsehoods has caused me to be sceptical when I see these people having an emotional xpeirence….we must be SO VERY CAREFUL, to not seek Him for an emotional feeling….keep the intellect in your worship, by adding reading of the scripture…..but so far all’s I’ve seen and heard is signing worship which can make a person ‘feel’ so wonderful.

Also, Wilmore is a town of about 6,000 people. I only know of one B&B and no hotels. (I live in the next county.) It was completely overrun. The college leadership started putting out requests not to come and limited some services by age to ensure students could participate. There were other venues in Wilmore where older adults could worship and one session a day opened to older adults at Hughes.
From what I could hear it sounds like the street preachers have more sense than the faculty and staff who are accommodating this. I wonder if they would allow those preachers in the pulpit or if that much truth would make their heads explode...😆
I DON'T GET A WITNESS.............................HEAVY LGBTQ ACCEPTANCE.................REALLY LOOK INTO IT.....................PRAY THAT YE BE NOT DECIEVED !!!
At an event where women and homosexuals are preaching, and heretical worship songs are being sung, there may well be a "spirit' at work but it sure ain't the Holy Spirit.
I guess it took until the asbury outpouring for some people to realize that gay people are in their churches, their pews, their choirs, their worship teams, their prayer groups, their youth groups, their seminaries and all that. And they’re worthy of love. And dignity. And care. day 8 and my seminary friends are still leading worship. Did you know poc, women and lgbtq queer students have been leading worship all 8 days? both student bodies haven lended themselves into being us toward the thrones of God. --''Elijah Drake''
@Barbara Macdonald He was reposting something from one of the many openly unrepentant lgbqxyz students from Hellsbury. The "worship" group was made up of unrepentant guys and lesbians. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know about the evil event then I don't know what will.
LIES LIES LIES; if the Holy Ghost was there, if this was inspired by the Holy Ghost, then there would be no distinction in belief of The Bible, and everyone would understand it in the same way, but they don't, and you will not find two people, at Asbury who will believe in the bible the same way, because the Holy Ghost would not and does not contradict itself, by inspiring people with different interpretation of scripture, which cause confusion, if 1+1=2 for one person 1+1= 2 for every person. How much more, True, will that be for Scripture, when inspired by The Holy Ghost, the dispenser of All Truth.

@Jesse Bryant
I became Catholic by reading the scriptures and praying not to become Catholic.
Kenny - that’s correct it’s more pilgrimage attending hajj in Mecca and holy land combined. All glory to God.
Protestants have no salvation (Council of Florence, Bull Cantate Dominio, 1441).
Is a pilgrimage revival? Or something people do because they think there's something special about a landmark?
@travisrose7164 the Catholic word "and" is needed here. Its is a pilgrimage because you have to go there. And (there is that Catholic word) it is a revival because God is at work there in ways that revive his people in special ways. People travel to Asbury (pilgrim journey) because they believe there is something happening in that particular GPS. As Catholics we have a robust theology for all of this and it can be seen all over the world through all of Church history.

So awesome that you are in Kentucky and at the Asbury Revival! I don’t know how long you will be in the state, but if you are able you’re more than welcome at Berea United Pentecostal Church! I wonder where the mission is.. where's the gospel (The Victorious News that is Good)
The assembly is massive.

Street preachers trying to condemn and guilt people into repentance
As if the only way the holy spirit will save you is through powerful preaching and making people feel guilty.
Wait until the Illunination of Conscience ( the Warning) comes . Souls will be turning to Jesus.

Holy Spirit working outside the Catholic church?
I wish we could pray that guy away. When I was there, we were praising and worshipping. Sad that people co-opt a thing of God to brow beat.
If there's no repentance of Sin, there can't be a revival.
If you have paid attention, that is exactly what has been happening here.
I feel like we shouldn't call that street preaching, it confuses it with people that are genuinely trying to spread the message of salvation.
@@brewhaha515 look up John Barros. Saved thousands of babies and hundreds of women have become believers through his preaching.
He doesn't use a megaphone only because he legally is not allowed to, so he uses a cone
@@DudeNamedDuncan That verse in jude is not about preaching fear to others, it is about having fear yourself when helping others. AKA when saving women out of a brothel, be fearful you don't get tempted. When helping an alcoholic, be fearful about all the alcohol you took out of his house... Be careful not to defile your garments while pulling them out of the mud.
But yeah, fear of the Lord is important. I don't think they are actually causing fear of the Lord though, its a bunch of christian lingo that probably isn't even understood
I bet you could drive right down the street and sit in front of the Body of the Lord in the tabernacle with no lines at all. I know I can in my town. Pretty wild though.
I'm Catholic too.
That said, I think the miracle here isn't God's presence so much as proof of the fact that people are HUNGRY and SEARCHING for God. I think He goes where people are searching for Him in addition to being in the tabernacle.
What a crazy, noisy circus.
What's the context / background here?
Revival. There was 2 weeks of essentially nonstop worship and prayer, then the dean was like, we gotta make this not be 24 hrs.
Anyone else ready for the revival of what the true capital of the United States should have been like for over 50 years now?

I heard that the worship was being led by homosexuals and trans people. If this is the case this is not of God. Come on people where is your spiritual discernment?
I can't figure out why homosexuals or trans people would want to be associated with Christianity.
I think you are wrong ,maybe look into it a little longer .Have a blessed day.
@@dirtydevil obeying God makes you inhumane? All Christians should practice spiritual discernment.
@@melindashenker3075 you do the same.
@@dirtydevil the bibl isn't that hard to understand. What you call interpretation sounds more like you telling God what you think. So what do you think is more humane? Telling someone that they're about to fall off a cliff or just pushing them off? What would be the loving thing to do? BTW I'm just taking God at his word.
Contraception is intrinsically evil - the Catholic church has this right. Sex Is made for faithful married love and **procreation**. God bless you & yours!
@@Devious_Dave Humans are created with immortal souls, on a much higher level spiritually. That's why we hold humans to a higher standard of action, and jail those who break the basic commandments like stealing, murder, etc.
In that, I agree, but I would love some more nuance around it.
Unless someone can show me elsewhere in history, I've noticed that revival only really happens in protestant trinitarian denominations. I would love to see more of it.
Oneness Pentecostals have had crusades overseas in multiple countries throughout the years where tens of thousands have received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, many hundreds have been baptized in Jesus’ name and many miracles have been documented. I recommend looking up videos about Reverend Billy Cole’s Crusades to Ethiopia, Pakistan and the Philippines.
Look up Our Lady of Guadalupe. There’s 2million people revival there
So there were no revivals for the first 1500 years of church history?
@@joshuapearson9950 I'm not finding anything, could you send me a link?
@@paulc9707 only thing I see about that is that she's one of the many idols in Roman Catholicism. Could you send me a link to where this revival is taking place?
so why are all ages not welcome?
They were, but the college is trying to limit it now because they want to go back to normal life for the students (classes and stuff)
Because they are the most easily influenced to do Satan's work...yep I said it. And I'm sure all the lgbtqxyz students and staff are loving that too. Just an absolutely evil place.
Pasting from above: They limited access to 25 and under because the outpouring of the Spirit first occurred a,one the students and they did not want older outsiders to prevent students from entering the chapel. Also, Wilmore is a town of about 6,000 people. I only know of one B&B and no hotels. It was completely overrun.
Can someone help me understand what revival is? Because from my distant perspective, it looks like a lot of erratic emotional appeal with almost no common doctrinal structure to keep everyone honest and in sync with whatever message they’re trying to send.
Yes! I was wondering the same thing
" god will dam you eternally" in the background... yikes
Please keep a tally of people you become aware of who get saved through this revival. :)
This seems to clearly be an "event", but not a revival. Take a look at some history on this subject.
I'm not saying one way or another, but just know that if it is actually a move of God, nothing and no one
could shut it down.
Amazing, God is good❤️❤️❤️
Is it true...gays are leading worship?
Isn’t preaching part of worship? Why is only music considered worship?
Music isn’t the only form of worship! Catholics believe that worship is more than just singing songs
@@sciencebehindthebible
Reading of scripture, confession, tithing, homily, praise in music, fellowship are all parts of worship, etc. All of that is not in the purview of only the Roman church. Many churches observe all of those elements as worship.
Both music and preaching are part of worship. Why are you asking a very ignorant question. This is baffling to me wow!
What is this?
So…. just curious if you actually converted to Catholicism or not? What’s the story?
The dude preaching in the back needs some theology tune-up
GAY MEMBERS led the worship at Asbury revival????? That is what the preacher was preaching about on the loud speaker on this video. If you watch TH-cam videos from - Warriors for Christ, you will see that they have proof about this. We all know what the bible says about homosexual sin, very sad 😔
I thought he was Catholic now.

If the blind lead the blind then all whom follow will end up in a ditch...
So glad you posted that but as I'm sure you know by now, it's going to fall on deaf ears because Satan has a grasp on these people. But the great falling away was bond to happen eventually. It's time for perseverance and to not let up on the truth, because many so called Christians will come against Christians who speak the truth of scripture.
Why do you trust him over Godly leaders im the church who are against LGBT beliefs? Are you that easily fooled?
@Lowly Servant I'm petty sure they posted that to show the lies and evilness that's going on in the place. Many openly unrepentant lgbqxyz students and staff at Asbury...just sad.

Hi CC.. like your content.
Why won't you talk about Romans 10:9-11 instead of scholarly stuff, different bs men's imaginary theories?
Talking about those stuff won't save nobody.
What is this now?
There’s a revival that’s been going on in Asbury for days now.
So, do you believe there is Judgement from God that awaits unrepentant sinners? Do you believe that as Christians we should be calloused and not care that sinners, who have heard the Gospel, but have rejected the Grace of God, should be warned by YOU and God's evangelists of the peril and jeopardy in which they stand? Why are you so bothered by this dude?
Be CAREFUL…
VERY CAREFUL….NOT. TO. MAKE. A. SPIRIT YOUR GOD!
Who knew you would ever need a fake id to get into the church,. 25 and under.
They limited access to 25 and under because the outpouring of the Spirit first occurred among the students and they did not want older outsiders to prevent students from entering the chapel.

At an event where women and homosexuals are preaching, and heretical worship songs are being sung, there may well be a "spirit' at work but it sure ain't the Holy Spirit.

@@radar4545 That maybe true but what does God say about sexual sin?
