I’m encouraged by the fact that a revival is not limited to a location in a building, in a town/city or any other location to continue and increase.

Totally agree. I've heard people say that WE have to put up with inconvenience, but THEY weren't living in Wilmore so they were not dealing with massive traffic while taking their kids to school. We act like God didn't see this coming.

@@lawrencestanley8989 Because God blesses certain places for their faithfulness, prayers, conduct, and mostly their openness to sense God. This place is full of people doing tasks according to God's Holy will. While in other places, the terms & conditions (if I may) are not there to make the Holy Spirit descent. It is like with Moses. He encountered God, others did not. Many believed Him, Others did not, they adorned a calf . ;)
All churches everywhere should keep their doors unlocked 24/7 so the Holy Spirit isn’t grieved.
It is not church where the Holy spirit dwells. Keep your heart unlock and let it be filled with the Holy spirit.

I'm very sure that Dr Brown along with others, prayed for wisdom when making the decision and think we should continue to believe that God knows what he's doing!
Pray for everyone affected by their experience and let them spread it throughout the world. The Spirit of God is not bound!

As a Christian instructor at a state-owned university, I have followed what is happening at Asbury very closely. It has been of particular interest to me because I taught high school in the 90s, and students asked me to be their teacher advisor for their student-led, student-initiated Bible studies, prayer rallies, etc... This reminds me of all the activity that was in the news at that time with Jay Sekulow's legal work concerning prayer in schools, Carmen getting one million signatures in support of that effort, etc... I do think many of the univeristy students of today are the children of parents of the 80s and 90s when these topics were hotly debated. The enemy wanted student-initiated, student-led; well, that is what is breaking out on these campuses. May this movement continue until it has touched every campus in America and around the globe! PTL!!!

While you're at it, read the Bible and warn the inhabitants of Damascus, Samaria, and Lebanon. The Old Testament prophesies that Damascus and Samaria will be reduced to piles of rubble, and that Lebanon will slide down to the deep. A professor of Geology at, I think it was Beirut University, said something like "One more slip of the Arab plate, and Lebanon will be wiped off the map." And not only does the Bible say that Lebanon will go down to the deep, but it continues to say something like "Her trees will be comforted in the bowels of the earth" (which is a really weird phrase, but hopefully you get the point).

It wasn’t practical for this to continue on campus. The revival will continue off campus. They aren’t shutting it down, simply moving it to a space where they could make it happen in a more efficient manner.

I understand your concern but Dr. Brown and Asbury staff were seeking to follow what they believed was the leading of the Holy Spirit. I’m trusting this Outpouring will continue to spread across our nation and beyond!!
Ehat concerned me was his comments about how there's a problem with maintaining classes. How is that even more than a passing thought. Shut the school down while the world experiences revival and possibly the greatest shift since the day of pentecost. I understand it's a small school and maybe he didn't realize the explosive impact this was having world wide. Still... very sad.
What if the revival continued for another month or until the end of the semester? Would the students have to be behind on their classes or credits for the next year? Would people simply not graduate? And, Students are paying a lot of money to get a good education. In the end this is a university and I think it was smart to move it off campus. They aren’t ending it, simply moving it to a more efficient location.

I'm in Edmonton Alberta. Watching this revival on TH-cam. Asbury is a long ways away! What can I do living in this senior home to feel I'm a part of it? May God richly bless each and every one of this glorious young people. Whom have simply opened there mouths and let praises to God flow out from there hearts. Thank you Jesus for choosing such faith filled young women and young men. To show the way. To be a beacon of inspiration to the world. Thank you young people for being obedient to the Holy Spirit.
Revelation 3:20 - Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Hebrews 11:6 - But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Nobody needs to attend an event or follow a crowd to be close to the Lord. Open up a King James Bible and you have God's word right in your hands.
The Bible says, wherever two or more are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them." God's spirit lives in us. The gathering of people who intensly seek the Lord with praise, and a hungry repentant heart, God's spirit magnifies within them. It causes the Glory of God's presence to manifest. Therefore, a revival can happen exactly where you are. Gather your friends to pray. A pastor or a minister can go pray with you. Some churches pick you up and bring you back after services. Ask the Lord to fill you with the infilling of the Holy Spirit. God bless you!

Revival can happen in your senior home. It can start with you. Find fellow believers there and play some worship music on the radio or online. Start a Bible study or gather together to talk about Jesus or miracles you’ve experienced. Jesus picked a group of fishermen, a tax collector and other average men to pioneer His ministry. You can do the same thing. May your faith be reignited so you can spread God’s glory boldly with those you see each day. 🙏🏼🕊
Play some worship music and sing and pray with some that live there too. Y’all can have fun together. Lay hand and pray for each other.
I was there for one evening. I have to tell you the pastors there are totally awesome! So loving and they are stewarding it so well. I think all things considering (Wilmore has about 6k people and one stop light) they are doing the best they can to make sure the revival didn't merely just start and stop at Wilmore, but that it does go out from there and spread. May God bless this beautiful, saving sovereign move of His spirit with lasting fruit! 🙏🙏💥💥❤️❤️🔥🔥

It’s good that people shared prayer during the conference . We need that now and often.
The world is in a very dangerous place. The war in Ukraine started by Putin could lead to a Third World war. It was prophesies very long ago that Russia would become communist, then it would fall after many prayers. I remember praying as a child with my family for an end to communism, but if the west did not improve and abandon its greed, which is destroying a large part of our climate and the land to which God gave us to take care of Russia would become an instrument of punishment for us. And the hatred and injustices continue, which should’ve ended along time ago. Because of our sins communism has come back under Putin. We need to repent and pray for world peace and an end to all dictatorships.
Time is short. Soon we will all experience a global life review. It is not a punishment from God, but a blessing from a kind and loving father, who wants us to see what we have become and what we’ve done. It will include how we have helped others and how we have harmed others .
It will be a easier for those that pray. And even terrifying to some who find out what they have become. It will occur shortly after a strange event occurs in the sky.
Everyone on earth will experience it no matter what their race, religion or non-religion because God loves us all of us equally. The whole world will change after that.
We need to prepare for it by praying each day for world, peace and by learning to love others and by changing any of our selfish ways; the golden rule has always applied and must apply now again.
We must repent from our judging others, which Jesus commanded us not to do. We must place are lives in God’s divine will.
The next few years may be very difficult for many so much will change, and so many hearts and minds will be altered. But we trust in Jesus, who loves us deeply. We must learn to love him deeply by loving other people, as he commanded; time is short very short. We must quickly learn to love because the only way to get into heaven - a place of love is to know and experience love now. There is no other way.
Jesus fed the 5000 men + women & children. HE didn't stop things & send people awsy.
I pray that students continue to gather and the Holy Spirit has His way. Hallelujah Glory be to God !!!

Maybe this is the wisdom of the Holy Spirit. Trust the Lord and the President of Asbury and pray, not criticize, don’t put faith in the enemy. Sometimes movements in one specific place can become idols. Not suggesting that I wanted this or any event revival to end. But I personally want to start expecting it right where I worship. The joy of our Lord is not limited.
AMEN! I can't agree more! I think the President shepherded this whole thing with incredible (Divine) wisdom! And now he is both doing what is best for his flock of students (who have slept little, & while incredibly touched, have still been overwhelmed). I LOVE that Asbury refuses to hang on to it and recognizes that what God is doing there can be done in MANY locations! Keeping it at Asbury imo is the opposite of what God wants!

They aren't spreading the Gospel of Jesus but their own version of Jesus. At least there are students at this woke college that are. They are spreading the gospel of niceness and not of sin, hell, and God's judgment. Are some coming to Christ? Sure. Are there many fake repentances going on? Yes! Especially when you have non-Christians leading worship, no preaching of the biblical gospel, and students repenting of their whiteness. Baring the public now just allows the college to hinder the movement of God that was taking place when the public was allowed in. Check out what Alisa Childers, Wretched, fight for truth, and right response ministries has to say for healthy skepticism and perspective.

If this revival is real, and I believe it is, a university president won't be able to stop it! He can easily be overruled from heaven. God owns that university, the property it sits on, and the world that contains said property.

that is true-just t hink what the cost was to have police and security there. And to have the workings of a university disrupted-so,God's priorities there must have been sought for. If not, I don't see how the faculty could sleep at night.

That's true. And the University President & Professors needed to be good shepherds of their students. As much as everyone loved the outpouring, some of those kids were getting very little sleep & some were intimidated by the large crowds of strangers "invading" their "home." In Jesus Revolution, there came a time when Chuck Smith had to put an end to all the hippies living in his house- so he provided housing elsewhere. I have no doubt that God's sweet Spirit remains at Asbury (NOT shut down!) And as thrilling as it is for crowds to descend on a place where the Spirit is moving, it was all the hordes coming to Wilmore that was shut down, not the Spirit. And like the newscaster says, you don't have to go to Asbury to experience God...that is essentially what President Brown is saying..."you don't have to come HERE, the Spirit is freely available! So let us tend our little flock of youngsters...." I think Asbury had Divine Wisdom in ALL the different aspects that God surprised them with!

Acts 5: "for if this plan or this undertaking is of men, it will fail; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them." This outpouring of the work of the Spirit did not begin with the plans of men or administrators, it began with the surrendering of the hearts of the youth. It did not need the approval of the college leadership to begin, and it does not require the approval of the leadership of the school to continue its work outward from its point of origin.
Acts 8: "On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria...Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went."
I pray for God's Spirit to continue mercifully pouring out His power of conviction, His drawing grace, and His stirring of the hearts of this generation. I pray that this outpouring will continue to draw people of all generations and geographies to repentance, worship, and basking in the glory of the presence of God. I pray that all those tempted to place their hand on the ark of His anointing work for their own glory will be compelled to humble themselves instead. For the glory of God and the advancement of His kingdom through the sacrifice of the Son and the power of the Spirit. amen.

The Lord delights in us when we trust in Him ALONE. I beg my brothers and sisters to pray, open up His word and begin afresh looking with child like faith to our Father to be everything He’s promised or been in times past. The leaders didn't "quash the Holy Spirit" as some are claiming. They PRAYED and sought the counsel of God. The gathering started with prayer, and ended with prayer, and those who were genuinely touched by God will CONTINUE in prayer and in lives changed. Revival isn't confined to meetings! Praise God for what has been happening, and pray that He would move in your own lives.
Agree with you by faith, that we don’t need to put our faith in a location. Revive our hearts Lord, our local houses of worship and the altars of our home’s. For the joy that was set before our Lord Jesus was a harvest of souls, and give Him a greater reward for His suffering. Expect mighty things from God, not Asbury, His love is that big. Amen
I agree. The critics are not the ones who had to steward this outpouring. I believe the leadership has done an excellent job of seeking God's guidance.

Amen! I believe Pres Brown had Divine wisdom, both in being open to it, and now in re-gathering his flock of students to seek a more private place.
Amen. When God moves according to the scriptures, leaders need to get out of the way , and let Him work.
We shouldn't complain at Asbury's revelation and blessing coming to a close. Remember the day of Pentecost was just for one day but its impact and effect continues into all the world after centuries of Christian witness. May that be the same for the Asbury revival.

Thank you for stating aloud exactly what my spirit was screaming- when Asbury decided to shut off the spicket. No surprise to God. He can work around them. And yes, I saw the Jesus Revolution movie- and it wrecked me! Was saved as a kid and 11 yrs later baptized by fire / born again believer since 1984. I feel so blessed to be in this moment - for such a time at this! Thank you for posting this video and saying what you did. It was confirmation.

I find that very hard to believe since forgiveness or remission of sins occurs at baptism.

Maybe He doesn't want it to end...but that doesn't mean Asbury is called to host tens of thousands of visitors 24/7 for an indefinite period of time! The town is only 6000 people! And I think God is DELIGHTED with what happened at Asbury and now DELIGHTED to have alternate venues seek His Presence and open their doors! Even as Asbury puts limits now on outsiders, I believe the Spirit continues to move on the campus and in town! (NOT shut down!)

It’s great to worship, but there comes a time when you need to go home. God doesn’t expect 24/7 services, He wants you to go out and share with the world. Not everyone can fit into one chapel.

They didn't stay in the upper room indefinately. God wasn't surprised by this. I don't see it as very healthy that people think they need to travel to one place to encounter the Holy Spirit.
There are many chirstian an non believers who don't even know the holy spirit. An your correct u can know him where ever u r. But sometimes findings a place where they allow the spirit to follow is hard to find these days . There's alot of religion going on but no freedom for the holy spirit to move.

I experienced personal revivial on January 31. God showed me the most beautiful rainbown on February 5, and confirmed by doing a miracle on February 9. Asbury Revival started on February 8? I am so thankful God remembered me and did not pass me by.

Churches staying open is one thing. The university has done an incredible job but the town and school are not equipped for these crowds. I think the sensitivity to have people carry this revival to their homes churches etc is commendable. Stop the criticism of those that have really done their best
As a little girl, I prayed for revival, I stopped, but seeing it is a answer. Our church here in CT vox church is doing a 4 day revival services

Respectfully, how do we know that Jesus didn’t speak to this man and tell him it was time to shift the revival elsewhere? How do we know that Jesus isn’t planning on shutting it down at Asberry so that other people will take up the torch elsewhere?! God‘s ways are so far above our ways. We expect things to play out, even gods plans, the way that we would handle them but if you haven’t noticed, God almost always does things differently from the way we expect. He takes us by surprise. He does the opposite of what we think he’s going to do. He does the thing that we experience as being counter intuitive and we end up pointing the finger at each other because we are so convinced that the way we expected it to be is the right way. Thank you Jesus for this amazing historical revival experience at Asberry, and thank you for all of the other universities and institutions that will pick up the torch from here! I am so honored and humbled to be alive at this amazing time in human history! Much love to all.
Good news, God is everywhere and you can repent, pray and sing without some senational experience at Asbury.
Since you brought up the Jesus Revolution movie……..even in the movie, when miracles started getting “noisy”, they had to reign it in for the sake of order and to prevent chaos. That’s what’s happening at Asbury. We can’t force God into a certain location. The Holy Spirit moves among His followers. Revival needs to spread.
Amen! And there was a point in the movie when Chuck Smith had to get other housing for the hippies instead of letting them overrun his house! This little town of 6000 can't sustain tens of thousands of visitors 24/7 forever! So much better to encourage encounters where you are, instead of thinking you can only get it at a specific location!

Exactly, there is no need to travel anywhere to experience God - He wants to meet us wherever we are! 'Revival tourism' can really get out of hand and blind us from what God would want to do in our own life. Thank God for Asbury, but let's seek Him wherever we are located, He is not limited to one church or one chapel.

God does not want the world to focus on Asbury University alone, or these precious students & their faculty but on His sovereign power in all of these things. This is for all of mankind. This revival is what He wants for the entire world; if they will seek Him with all of their heart; right where they are. Those that understand this will find revival whatever their location. Asbury shows how hungry this world is for God & He is stirring this hungry world to seek Him. The world cannot all come to Asbury Kentucky but if they seek God with all that is in them, they will find Him.

A biblical revival must contain repentance not just prayer and songs.

Christ alone justifies us (declares us innocent before the Father) and then sanctification follows (being made righteous by turning away from sin) Sanctification is a life-long process of daily taking up our cross and turning not back to sin.
A life full of trials, chastisement and tribulation, sent by God because it produces perseverance and hope. Only those truly comforted with the Holy Spirit can withstand to the end.
