Massive 4-Alarm Fire Destroys Abandoned Church In Santa Ana

- 05.07.2020 | 2:26 AM | SANTA ANA - A massive 4-alarm fire gutted an abandoned church, early Thursday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of a structure fire burning at an abandoned church located in the 100 block of East Santa Ana Boulevard, near Main Street, in the downtown area around 2:40 AM.
Crews arriving on scene located a large abandoned church with heavy fire showing and took up positions to extinguish the blaze.
Over 100 firefighters spend at least an hour working to extinguish the fire which was upgraded to a 4-alarm fire.
No injuries were reported but the church sustained major damage.
Fire investigators are on scene working to determine the cause of the fire.

Great video. This building has burned several times already....homeless. Many years of positive worship from that places, but now they must sift the place for human remains and relegate the skeleton of the building to the trash pile.
That is why it is boarded up.
I was told to ignore the Simplex fire alarm at a hotel. It kept coming on over the whole building. They,told me to silence it,& reset it!
The roar of the flames, rumbling pumps, and the cascading of hundreds of gallons of water all combine in a deafening song of loss.

Abandoned churches are always a favorite of squatters and vandals... This is usually the end result if the building continues to stand...
The Building is not there anymore I live extremely close so I woke up and saw it, and it was destroyed, and it was said that homeless people started it
How long was this building burning before water was applied? Roof was gone and fully involved structure before wet stuff hit the yellow stuff.

I live near this old church. And it JUST hit me. A massive 4 floor apartment complex popped up immediately after this "fire"

I'd like to see these armchair firefighters and how they would have handled the N.Division Propane Explosion here in Buffalo on 27 December that killed 7 and all 7 perished before they started fighting the fire itself.
What would that ascertain?
1:00 Now this is just plain stupid. Where do you think that water is going and what is it doing as they apply it to the energy driven flames? You have to apply it to the burning material through the windows. Moths to the flames and No Thinking! However, at least they weren't climbing on the roof and Vertically Venting this fire so there is that!

Was there any point in putting it out at all since there was nowhere it could have spread, and all the water did was make it burn slower?
