This took perseverance. Gale was naughty too. The pic reminds of slices of underwater geodes and a beautiful gold whale surfacing in the bottom left hand corner. My compliments to the finch chorus and as always giggled when you painted yourself too. I have numerous tee shirts with painted designs across my chest and abdomen. I love the colours! In the big section on the left, above the small purple section, when you did the close up ... did you see the Horse? You can see the head straight on - the ears, the eyes, the chest, and it's front left leg. Very cool!
My husband was laughing at me this past weekend for using one of your Mina isms. Really love how this turned out. Like how you talk to "nature" as you paint....really fun. Question - the phthalocyanine blue and diox purple from Liquitex seems really light in colour compared to Golden - is it just the basics that are that light in colour or did you mix in a little white?

This color palette is so serene, and I love those bands of color (especially in the middle where the bright aqua mixed with the gold). And there is the perfect amount of white in this painting.
