He almost single handedly wiped out all the other countries around like that, which was very close to starting a world war. On top of that, he deceived three heroes and straight up incriminated the last one. My point is that king screw up was punished because he did things that NOBODY in the country was supposed to do, the queen included. He just straight up broke the equivalent of the Geneva Convention.

And the church of three heroes has a lot of power due to both its religious aspect and also due to the constant wars between melramarc and siltvelt. The most recent of which happened with in the last 20 to 30 years before naofumi was summoned, making the wounds still fresh. The Queen wishes to try and end the rascism and has some support from some of the nobles however you can’t easily erase centuries of hate much like our own world. Naofumi is just in a unique position to help fix everything and even then not all the problems are just immediately ending. Slavery is still a thing even in naofumi’s village even if it’s just a way to help power up the people there to take care of themselves. It’s honestly because of the way they present things that I like the world building of shield hero because it doesn’t always have to be explained either when convenient or needed but also explained with background characters histories. Although I really wish they’d stop butchering the anime, there may of been some bad parts to the light novels like the spirit tortes arc but the anime somehow made that part even worse.

Trash(the king) was a great strategist and hero before malty was born, and he became a daddy that spoiled her rotten. After he is punished by the queen and meets fohl and atla, he changes greatly for the better. Trash is actually one of the best characters towards the end of the series.

This sis one of the best anime shows out there and I really hope a new season drops sooner rather than later. There is just so much more to the story that I want to watch. I miss Billy Kametz so much 😭 his VA was on point RIP Billy. The show was so good in season 1 because it had so much hardship and pain with the MC having to prove himself and billy was able to voice it all perfectly the second season was mostly confusion and MC finding himself, the new VA wasnt horrible on this. I’ve never seen a bag fumbled this hard before. With how strong the premise is, how great the first season is, the massive potential here is staggering. Just to make it fall back into a the typical “harem isekai” in the later chapters. The hardest fall off in a long time
What I like about this series is that there are times where the main character is harsh and it makes him human. He sees the world as reality rather than some game he was pulled into.
