Real Men Real Style Hey Antonio, how are you doing?
I have a question, why do you and other TH-cam channels write their video titles with lowercase letters and uppercase letters in a mix...
Sometimes you wright something like "Wear a Suit Without A Tie and Look GREAT!" and in the picture that is shown for the same video you write
"5 Tips To Wear A Suit Without A Tie"
In the video title the first "a" is written as a lowercase letter and in the text from the video picture it's a uppercase letter, also the word "and" is written with a lowercase letter unlike the other words that are all starting with a uppercase letter in the video title...
Is this some kind of psychological trick to get more clicks?
I know it's often used to write a whole word with uppercase letters like "GREAT" but I don't usually see things like "I Am so Sorry For All of You"...
And I think I've never seen someone using two variations in one sentence like once the word "a" with a lowercase letter and also "A" with a higher case letter.
Do you understand what I mean?
I'm very interested what you can teach me about that and like always, keep it up and I'll start to watch the video right now :-)

A tip is since those glasses sized cleaning cloths can be expensive for the size - all they are are essentially microfibre cloths. If you lose or don't have your glasses cleaning cloth handy - that's what you can use. NEVER EVER USE tissues. Should have put that in the video Antonio! The only time you can use your clothing to clean your glasses is well, if they are made of microfibre!

Honestly, it's just a badly executed attempt at writing in title case. Title case is used in things like document or chapter titles, and the convention is to capitalize the initial letter of everything except articles, prepositions, and short conjunctions. If you capitalize those exceptions some of the time, but not others, it's going to look weird. Not a trick, just a mistake.

cuddler When I was younger I almost never cleaned my glasses, I would simply get used to the dirt blocking my view. People would tell me my glasses were dirty, but I ignored them. I now know I should clean them every day for a better look.

Try cleaning your lens with first under clean running water and then use a little bit of plain hand soap to lather up and clean the lens of oil from contact to eyebrows in the corners or any other part of the lens, finally use a clean/fresh tissue paper from the box to dry the lens this keeps the lens spotless and increases the its life by avoiding scratches.
Avoid using lens cloths to clean the lens because overtime it builds up oil from our hands and collects minute particles which wil scratch your lens when you use it many times. I have ruined many of my glass lens with scratches by trying to clean it with the lens cleaning cloth.

    • @marragonn
      @marragonn 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Vikram Singha
Yep. Those dry cloths always get contaminated with smallest particle which makes you end up scratching your glasses. This happenend to my first glasses.
Cleaning cloths for your glasses need to be fresh (not contaminated with anything) and wet. And one can buy and carry them everywhere.

I used to always wear the same style of glasses the rectangular ones that are silver colored for years. About a year agoI stepped out of my box and bought purple eyeglasses( the ones that ate like a bit transparent and u cant see the purple only if it is in direct light) and i got loads of compliments about it and i loved how it looks. Now i am thinking of buying a unibrow eyeglasses, they are kind if trendy now but not sure if they will look good on me. So thats my story. Keep up the great work Antonio 👍🏼

This guy is right, the most important thing about picking your perfect glasses is your face shape and the rest is confidence. Back in high school I was crushed when I found out that my vision is poor and have to wear binoculars on my face. Now many people say I look far more better with glasses on.

Michael Taylor I am always scared to buy eyeglasses online. Last summer when I needed a new pair, I decided to look online at LensCrafters and several other places for cheaper options. I picked out a few I thought might look good on me, but decided to wait. I ended up going to LensCrafters where I saw that exact pair, tried them on and they were horrible. I ended up getting a pair I would have never considered online. Even with virtual try on and pictures of others wearing them, it's not as good and reliable as a store irl.

I've never EVER liked glassed either, but a few weeks ago once my eye doctor told me I will NEED some I actually found some that I think fit me. But it was a unique kind of discovery, because when I saw those glasses on the shelf and those glasses saw me, I tried them on, looked in the store's mirror, and I saw a serious man with a nice brown suit, a clean but, and a piercing look of ambitious action on myself. It felt like my mind opened up and I was looking at tomorrows aspiring CEO that's waiting to be manifested.
The I took them off and said "These are my glasses".

    @ the 4:45 mark...
The yellow frames goes so amazingly well with the yellow in his tie that it positively works. He threads the needle perfectly. It is an outrageously odd, almost junior high school girl look, but he makes it look like a pro-actively powerful business choice. It is almost alarming how much power a man can exert with a pair of odd glasses.

As someone who has had to wear thick glasses since I was in elementary school, I've never been able to experiment with wire and half frames. That being said however, I have found my own style as a freshman accounting student to be a nice turtle-shell large frame that blends rather well with my very dark blond hair. With having longer hair the glasses aren't very noticeable and give me a clean look without looking like too much of a dork, at least this is my most confident look and doesn't make me stick out too much, long hair notwithstanding.

My piece of advice for guys with high prescription like mine: try (at your optometrist!) if you can get along with contact lenses. There are certain activities, where you just can't wear regular prescription glasses: mainly swimming and any sports that put you in danger of being hit in the face, like martial arts or football. For many others it's just convenient to get your prescription embedded in your eyes, e.g. for those involving protective eyewear, like cycling, airsoft, skiing etc. If you perform such activities rarely and prefer wearing glasses for everyday life - get a supply of daily disposable contacts and use them only when you need to.
Yes, you can get discipline specific prescription eyewear. One pair for swimming, one pair for cycling, one pair of skiing goggles with rx insert, one pair for football... that gets quite expensive! And what if your prescription changes? You have to scrap all of those and get a new set. Not to mention the limited field of vision and lack of prescription any time you temporarily remove that kind of eyewear. With contacts you get one, cheap solution that is always on.
And yes, you can get away without vision correction if you have prescription like -0.5D. But i'm talking here about guys, for whom glasses really fall into prosthesis category, because as soon as they take them of their vision turns into a bunch of blurry blobs.

I always had scratches on my glasses until I tried a nice little trick. Canned air! You know, that stuff people use to blow away debris from their keyboards. Use that on your glasses before you clean off smudges from the lenses. This will get off any small particles that could get ground into the lenses. Works great!

I generally love buying stuff online. Maybe I am being too cautious but I’m sharing some experience; I would suggest buying prescription glasses offline if you have (fairly) severe astigmatism for example. It is alway better to try on the glasses, see how they fit and if they move vertically for example (moving the focal point) and get some advice on that at the optical store.

Glasses are really versatile. First, you can have glasses-wearing girls take them off and suddenly become beautiful, or have girls wearing glasses flashing those cute grins, or have girls stealing the protagonist's glasses and putting them on like, "Haha, got your glasses!" That's just way too cute! Also, boys with glasses! I really like when their glasses have that suspicious looking gleam, and it's amazing how it can look really cool or just be a joke. I really like how it can fulfill all those abstract needs. Being able to switch up the styles and colors of glasses based on your mood is a lot of fun too! It's actually so much fun! You have those half rim glasses, or the thick frame glasses, everything! It's like you're enjoying all these kinds of glasses at a buffet. I really want Luna to try some on or Marine to try some on to replace her eyepatch. We really need glasses to become a thing in Hololive and start selling them for HoloComi. Don't. You. Think. We. Really. Need. To. Officially. Give. Everyone. Glasses?

Well i had no glasses since 2months ago, then I got them. And before I had glasses no one thought that "hey ask that guy Hej looks smart" but now much more people ask me things and questions, say really nice things too me, and the girls likes me more and more, it's really a success with glasses for me, even though I'm a bit nervous to go out with them. But they are the key to glory! I get bad things like I'm ugly with them, but I think that the people are just afraid that I'm getting in with the woman's, I'm really proud that I got them even though I was scared. Really enjoy your videos! Keep up with the good work!

I would love to trade in my glasses for contacts but I am a squinter. I would say that the two worst things about wearing glasses is the risk you take when going into the gym to play basketball or any other sport with a ball. The other problem is when it is cold outside and you have a scarf on but the heat from your breath fogs up your glasses.

I've worn glasses since the first grade. I am so near sighted, with out corrective lenses I would not recognize my own father at a distance of 5 feet. As you could imagine, that requires my eyeglass lenses to be quite thick. This combined with the difference in overall field of view is why I prefer contacts. Additionally, contacts with sunglasses are (generally) cheaper than prescription sunglass lenses.

Each night you brush your teeth, also rinse off your glasses. Then a quick wipe with a microfiber cloth and you're ready for the morning. Rinsing will get most of the fine dirt off that can still scratch your glasses even when using a micro fiber. I've been doing that for two years and the difference is astounding.

I have 3 or 4 pairs of glasses and never lose them - I like switching up the style here and there and you never can go wrong with a spare pair either just to be safe - especially if you bought more because you liked the frames and it was not vastly uneconomical to do so. I would rather have two good pairs of glasses costing me less than a good quality yet less good individual pair costing me a lot more
One way to clean glasses is to use a piece of dry tissue paper, it works better than you think. Never do it on your shirt because there is sweat on your shirt and you rub that into your glasses only moving the smudges around and creating new smudges as opposed of ridding the smudges. Also dirty glasses cloths are not recommended yet many people keep and use them - they only do the same thing that wiping them with your shirt would - It is best just to wash them under the tap and use a piece of clean soft paper to wipe them around.

I have never been able to wear contact lenses. My astigmatism is just too bad, even with today's technologies I hear. But, I do remember a day in the first days of my first grade year. There were two of us with the same first name, and the teacher said, "I'm going to call you Bill, and [turning to the other kid] you Billy, because [turning back to me] you look older." DUDE! Talk about a rush of ego!
I grew up watching the Walton's on television, and always wanted to be just like John Boy the writer, and people would tell me my glasses made me look like a writer. So, at 51 years of age, I am seriously going to be getting new frames! I want a grey pair to go with a grey suit, a brown pair for a brown, or more earth tone suit. And, I want yellow, red, and blue glasses to accessorize in a most subtle way.

Great video Antonio! This one is very personal to me because I've worn glasses since I was 8, which since yesterday was my birthday means I've worn them for 31 years! I've had more than a few in that weren't me or were downright ugly. Only in the last few years have I embraced the spare pair idea and I found I really love it because of how it allowed me to have a color scheme that tied together and made all the details pop! I've been reluctant to do the online thing, but I believe I'll give GlassesUSA a shot!

Funny story. I owned a few glasses, but since we went for the really cheap versions, they either broke or rusted on me. There was one particular glasses that I loved, the Tag Heuer titanium and ceramic flexible arms. Problem was that one of the noise guards broke, but couldn't be repaired because of the titanium. After that, I was back to the cheap frames that I didn't really like. Then, I got a pair of Burberry square plastic frames and fell in love. The price though was so high that I just took care of them. After watching previous videos of you and Alpha. M in regards to face shape and glasses, I found myself wanting to get another frame. Then, a company called OwnDays opened up and had some wicked frames that were relatively cheap (almost half of my Burberry, which I got on sale). Long story short, I have more interest in glasses, know what to use on my face (luckily, I'm an oval shape so I can fit well with most frames), and switching between glasses every week.

They are square frames with thin temples and single-vision transition lenses and I have been told they look like Clark Kent glasses and have even gotten called Superman at work. I'm supposed to wear glasses, but I haven't gotten around to getting a new pair in like six or seven years because I can see good enough to function without them, as long as I don't get pulled over and an officer ask me about it. I got my first pair of glasses in middle school, and It honestly made a big difference in how the world looked. I ended up getting contacts because the glasses would slide around a little more than I liked while marching in band. But I really do prefer wearing glasses over contacts. I ended up wearing glasses and just took them off when we were about to march. Glasses are so much easier and more comfortable to wear than contact lenses are in my opinion.

Hey, love your channel and the message and purpose in every video you make. Only thing is that i watch these to help my fiance, who at the time have a difficult time figuring out what being a man is all about. But it got me thinking, there are so many videos and professional channels made to make men reach their goal at dressing well, picking out what glasses to wear, how to act around ladies, how to be a knight in shining armour etc.. But there are not that many channels (that i have come over ) for the ladies on how they should get comfortable in their own skin. There are however plenty videos on dresscode and makeup but not so many about just being human, sticking up for ourself and being the handyman ourself! You have inspiered me to start up and try making a helping channel for ladies out there. Any tips on how to get started?
