you are beautiful in ways that all the flowers would be very much jealous about! keep on rocking and doing your music Zuni! thank you for your inspiration! grace!
Zuni, I am taken by your big voice. Please, keep it coming. Its good stuff to kick back and just do nothing but close my eyes and listen to it. Simply put, its the calling that can't be ignored.
@zunistevenson Compression (if you don't use a lot of it already, try it) is always a must for recording any vocals other than maybe ambient recording of backup from several feet away. If you use a condenser in to an A.R.T. TubePAC, then in to your reverb or whatever's next, you can get a really warm and lifelike sound but still have it leveled out.
This is a great song n' it's easy to see you're enjoyin' this one. (love the cranberries' stuff) I Love it when you really get into it n' just... LET 'er RIP !!! hahaha Outstanding vocals, the harmonies, the whoo-hoos... just Beautiful ! I mean re-e-eally beautiful, like... almost religious experience beautiful. Absolutely Stunning performance !!! Nice one Zuni. :-)))) ... wow (this was so good... i won't even mention the lamp)
@zunistevenson A condenser is usually the choice for catching a warmer and more organic vocal sound, especially when it's also picking up some of the ambient acoustic guitar sounds. The compressor is an important link in the chain. Digital impulses on recording software can really over-digitize the sound and it loses a certain life-like quality. That's why I'd suggest that tube compressor. Mic in to the compressor, compressor to your recording device or audio interface.
In the months I have been exploring the music of independent channels on TH-cam, I found many very good singers. You still have (for me) one of the most beautiful, harmonious and well-tuned voices I've heard so far (I hope you get soon to solve these sound issues). Regards!
@zunistevenson Like I said, ART TubePAC (stands for PreAmplifier/Compressor) between a good condenser (it has 48v phantom on board) and your audio interface and you will be amazed at how it warms up stuff in the digital format. I used mine for recording a bass guitar the other day, bass in to TubePAC in to a 10 band equalizer, direct to the board, and it came out sounding like a pretty nice bass amp & cabinet. It's dirt cheap for a tube compressor and well worth it. Way better than digital comp.
WOW! You seriously do covers of bands that I love! I think The Cranberries are one of the best bands of all time. This song is amazing, and so is your cover! Keep it up Zuni, please ^^ I don't even know what song I may suggest you to do next, but if you keep at this pace, I'm sure it'll be great :)
AaaAAA Zuniiii Dear!!! Cramberies!!!! \o/ OK, it's not Dreams, but now i hear you have a perfect pitch for it! Dang, marshmallow pie was never so close.. :P
@zunistevenson Yes, I've noticed :D Thank you very much, I'm glad to be helpfull :) But I asking to go down just a little bit more with the levels, becouse I want to deliver ultra clear sound to all my neighbors. :D HAHA Is it happens becouse of you tube ? Conversion thing ?
@zunistevenson Ok, if I understood correctly, you recording music and video on your DSLR at the same time, using external mic, right ? Can you setup the recording levels from the camera manually ? Or in auto mode only ? Can you see some volume meter on you camera LCD? Remeber to turn off digital wind filter when you recording inside.. :D It stealing low frequency when its on :D Raw file directly from camera is distorted ? Or it's happens after you add additional voices in edition software ?
@zunistevenson Did you recorded the music first, and after make the video and "glue" it together ? So the problem exist from the begining, or after on edited video only ? Or after conversion? And what kind of file extension do you have on final product ? Maybe, when we all together use our knowlege, we can eliminete this problem quicker ? :D It would be pleasure to help you with it. :)
Great job, abs wonderful Zuni! hey.. I only just realized I never subbed, duh! well I just put that right! and we've been friends for so long too! john :x)
very nice again Zuni :) I would love to hear you doing original tunes. not that i dont like your covers but you are too good to not be doing your own music. :)
A song from my favorite groups, great job! Funny, from the first time I heard The Cranberries in the 90's I said that one day I was going to kiss Dolores O'Riordan right on the lips,,,,I still haven't got to do that,, but its on my list of things to do, even if IM like 70 and see her SMACK right on the LIPS! OK why did I tell you this dunno.... Great cover and a hearty Thumbs up!~~John
Should the mic have been say, 4" down, your low notes-as the low "F" at about 0:20 and, 1:20-would perhaps, not have gone sub-audible, . . . also, the breath sounds might then have been picked up, thus adding a measure of realism, . . .
you are beautiful in ways that all the flowers would be very much jealous about! keep on rocking and doing your music Zuni! thank you for your inspiration! grace!
impressive harmonies on this Zuni and the pitch bending of your vocals when reaching the high notes..
Zuni, I am taken by your big voice. Please, keep it coming. Its good stuff to kick back and just do nothing but close my eyes and listen to it. Simply put, its the calling that can't be ignored.
