This is a beautiful song that Mark wrote for his mother. And just an FYI, Myles did not replace Scott in Creed. Creed disbanded. Mark Tremonti reached out to Myles to see if he wanted to be involved in a new project, and together with Scott and Brian, they started the new band, Alter Bridge…now still going strong for nearly 20 years!! They, collectively as Alter Bridge, make incredible music, and in my opinion, far surpass Creed in every way!!
Which is fine they went other ways..stuff happens...

They kicked the singer for Creed out and then the remaining 3 reformed as Alter Bridge with Myles Kennedy as lead singer.

They’re not creed. Mark Tremonti(guitarist) Brian Marshall(Bassist) and Scott Phillips(Drummer) were the founding members of Creed along with Scott Stapp who was the singer of the band. Creed broke up, and Mark Scott and Brian asked Myles Kennedy to join them and they formed this which is Alter Bridge. They don’t perform Creed songs, they are a different and IMO a much MUCH better band❤️🤘🏼

I'm not sure how many Alter Bridge songs you have listened to, but, they are awesome, not a bad song, and many epic songs. They have their tear jerkers, but also have hard hitting songs too. Lyrically, their songs have real meaning. If you want to check out some that are not tear jerkers -- try Isolation, Cry of Achilles, Calm the Fire, Fortress. Also check out their latest album Pawns & Kings. My favorites on that album are This is War, Sin after Sin, and Fable of the Silent son. Another potential tear jerker is Blackbird.
Mark, Scott, and Brian were all part of creed, however, Alter Bridge is Alter Bridge, Creed is Creed. Alter Bridge fought to separate themselves from the Creed legacy and do their own thing. And they have. 7 albums of music to choose from. Take the journey!
