That's a great observation Derek makes regarding the rarity of a '74 Corona and the survival rates of the "typical car" of the period, in this case, one that is Japanese. People who bought E-Types or most any expensive car had the money to maintain them properly, and of course there is the allure of something prehious like that, whereas these were a workhorse and driven into the ground. The irony is that these might not have the value or following of something prestious, but the attrition rate makes the once common site exceptionally rare. From the standpoint of automotive history, it's certainly a nostalgic return to nearly 50 years ago.

Lovely car, looks to have come in from South Africa judging by the little white reflectors between the headlights, SA cars were all fitted with these on the front

Yes , Datsun 1200, Mazda 818 & the first generation of Corollas were being driven to the breakers yard's around then & yet unlike a Renault Fiat or VW of similar vintage the engines & transmissions had potentially plenty of mileage left.

There has not been much effort given to showing a nice interior, and none whatsoever in even attempting to show us the inside of the BOOT, and the spare wheel! Stop getting nostalgic, Derek, and get on with the job, please!
