    I made this tonight and it is delicious. I did 1/2 the recipe because I wouldn't know what to do with this sauce. Served over rice and had it with Chinese eggplant with minced pork! Yum!

    I tried another sesame chicken recipe a few years ago and found that the ketchup taste was over-powering, yet, when I have had sesame chicken in Chinese restaurants, I did not taste the ketchup in these recipes. What ingredient is used to balance the flavor? I love your cooking videos and just subscribed to your channel. I would definitely like to see more recipes. Thank you for sharing your expertise and wonderful recipes. -Linda

    • @jagabaya123
      @jagabaya123  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes ketchup can be overpowering if used too much. Sesame sauce should have just enough ketchup to reddened and enough vinegar and soy sauce to balance out it’s complexity. Not too tart and not too sweet. Thanks for watching

      I'd buy 1! Maybe 2 ( my retail philosophy is simple - if it's good enough to buy 1 of, then it's better to have a back-up & if it's white - well - it's best to back the back-up too! )
      ****Chef Petey - I am leaving my silly girly thought process up because it of this - it made me think of what colors I'd want - but then you would have to buy a lot of inventory - then I thought, * hell, my sister owns a T-shirt printing business & she makes each shirt to order* --she has all the equipment & is a small Facebook business with an excellent rating, I don't know any logistics about what you'd charge/she'd charge - it's just a thought - that way you wouldn't have to order lrg amount any up front but ppl would still have lot's of options, I haven't said a word to her, just something I thought I'd throw out there! 🤔...if any interest, let me know & I can put you in touch with her....if not, no biggie & thank u for sharing your family's recipes with us!
      Stay safe everyone! ✌&💞

    Looks great, Peter! Can I ask why you're splitting the frying into 2? Is it just habit of par-frying during prep and then being able to heat it to order, or are you getting a better crispiness on it by letting it rest for a bit before finishing it off?

    • @jagabaya123

    You left out the part that you take the flour coated chicken and dip that into the batter. I saw you do it, but you did not comment to say that is what you at you were doing. In fact, it appears that you are just moving the chicken into another bowl. You never say that you are dipping it into the batter.

      If you use the oil to deep fry one or two times, you can use the oil to cook with. Breakdown occurs after several times used. Hope that helps.
