Honestly bro, you have to save yourself from this type of trauma. It's not your responsibility to save her. At this point It is taking an emotional toll on you, and you can end up ruining your life.
I grew up in an abusive household. My parents will be married for 50 years this June. I didn't move out until I was 21 thinking I was staying to protect my mom. It hurt my heart telling her I couldn't stay because of the psychological hold it had on me. The word "Please, don't leave me" still haunts me till this day. But it's been the best decision I've made yet! I love my mom to death!!!
Time to get away from the drama. She's attracted to drama and brings it to other people. Decide if you want to be a part of that circus or not. If not, move on and find new friends.
Society doesn’t make it easy either. When women leave they still blame her for leaving. It’s damn if you do damn if you don’t. We also know that the courts don’t help them either. I wish any woman the best in those situations.
