Fun fact about why pirates wear eye patches. Its not that they are missing an eye, its so that when they board a ship and enter the hold, they have an eye that is already adjusted to darkness so they can see in order to attack and to plunder.

Instead it spent an obscene amount of time in development hell. The only reason the game didn't get cancelled is because they were contractually obligated to release it or get their asses sued off by the Singapore government.

I know the start has been a bit underwhelming for you, but i think you'll really start to appreciate it as you get close to completion.
