Remember crying the day Torres left us for Chelsea. Felt like my chest caved in. I've forgiven him since, and it was good to see him in a Reds shirt again in the Legends game. At the time, he was our only actually decent performer in an awful Roy Hodgson side, which featured the likes of Konchesky, Poulsen, Cole, Jovanovic, and Ngog among others, on a weekly basis. At a point, it felt like we might had to settle for a relegation scrap. But Torres pulled the team up a lot of times before he left. Crucial goals against WBA, Bolton and least of all, his brace against Chelsea, just weeks before he departed. He by no means felt washed at that point.
