Yeah uno I agree. But I also want to say, that goes to show the lack of effort Komoney does on their end, so much so that dkayed’s website is more helpful with guides and tutorials, usage rates and combos for newer players than they will ever pull off. Which is a shame.

For the first combo, on the opponent turn, you actually can summon Oak and Ash instead of Ash and Poplar, because Oak can grab Poplar to hand instead of summoning it and because you grab Poplar to hand, on new chain link you can special summon it and since you already have access to Poplar follow up anyway, you can instead grab Kurikara from your Ash.

Yup, you can do that, but then you're either left with a 2400 ATK Apollo (instead of 3200) OR you don't have Linkuriboh on the field to protect Apollo. In exchange, you gain a follow-up card through Ash. Debatable which one is better really. I'd lean towards your version, but an extra negate on Apollo can be worth more than a follow-up card (which you could prob search for through other means if you really need it)

Christ I can see why people were surprised when Snake eyes released with Poplar. Deck is super consistent and a huge value deck of pumping out a bunch of monster.
I would disagree on the super consistent part. Without bonfire opening the 2 card combo is pretty rare aswell as your options to extend

@@poro9084 No. Your main and best one card starter is snake eye ash. And that is only played at 4 copies if you play one for one.
There are other cards that can also do a one card combo like all the diabellstar cards or populus. But both of those will end on a weaker version of the Ash combo.
Without Bonfire the amount of possible extension is also limited.
Basicially the deck is decently consistent but the insane Boards are inconsistent to achieve.
What actually makes this Deck so extremely strong is its Insane Recovery and Grindgame while also having layered interruptions.
you literally have wanted / diabellstar / ash / one for one / original all of these are 1 - 1.5 card combo
and even normal summon poplar isn't a bad play if you only have him .
bonefire is great but it also has it cons which is Droll

In the first combo, you can instead revive Oak and Poplar instead of Ash and Poplar. Oak can still activate its effect with a full field because it also can add the card back to hand. As the chain resolves you will be linking them off, making room so on resolution you can still choose to summon Ash to search for a follow-up/Kurikara instead of using another Poplar. Ash will be on the field for Promethean Princess in this case. Hope that's useful 😊

Another good tip is that if you get nibbed and you haven’t used ash’s SS effect, your flamberge is in the S&T zone and your field spell is set up. You get a free special summon and token to go into plays to then summon your ash again to continue combo. The deck has gas!
If you know that Spright Elf is not banned in Master Duel so make sure to use this card immediately to your Snake-Eyes deck. Thank you for reminding us Dkayed about this card because wow I didn't know it was incredible playing with it when I watched this video.

I built a snake eye deck in still practicing before going to rank but no where In The list did it have spite elf! Till now that you mention it, it totally felt like something f was missing

21:12 what's crazy is that you could've also went into underworld goddess instead of appollousa here, suck up the fenrir and it would be untargetable due to elf. And goddess is unaffected by effects that don't target her, so you'd be left with a boss card that can only be popped by tribute like a kaiju/nib etc. Kaiju out's apollousa same way but apoll is able to offer much more disruption so i wouldn't say it's better at all, but I'd say it's another option which could be quite interesting.
This deck seems quite versatile.
Yeah goddess is an interesting target honestly.
Especially if they handtrapped you or something and you only end on half a board without baronne + savage.
If you have only like flamberge + amblowhale + IP (which is the typical board through droll), you lose to normal summon albaz, not much you can do to it.
Albaz will fuse with whatever IP summons (or fuse with IP if you don't chain IP), and they get so much pluses from the free MJ.
You don't have priority so they can do ns albaz first thing before you make apollo.
apollo + baronne also loses to branded lost + normal albaz. (or lost + brafu or lost + anything really)
Unless you negate lost with baronne (but that feels really bad).
savage can still negate albaz under lost tho cuz he negates eff, not activation, but yeah.
There are lots of branded in masters, I added goddess recently just for this reason mainly
Sometimes goddess comes up too randomly even outside branded matchup, when you need the removal without any tempo delay by chaining IP to something.
It's perfectly valid tho not to play goddess cuz she doesn't come up THAAAT often, but viable tech option for sure.

I don't like linking off Elf unless I know I need some extra attack on Apollousa.
I prefer to make 3 mat Apollousa under Elf to farther protect Apollousa, or just holding onto my Masquerena and going into something like Underworld Goddess or a Knightmare if I already have Baronne and Savage. Being able to revive Masquerena or Formula on the following turn is also really nice. It can also let you dodge Called By on Maxx "C" which is always fun.
Knightmare Phoenix is also great for extra draws, chumblocking and can be summoned under Flame Princess, revived off Amblowhale, and provides some much needed backrow removal. I think every build should be playing it. Linkuriboh is great but Phoenix can also just make Apollousa impossible to destroy by battle. ;p

What is the best play if you open wanted stuff though? It turns off the original and the diabellstar for the rest of the turn so what is my best play without those? That hand is much more common than opening ash anyway

IP + Elf + Goddess have been my bread-and-butter backup/bonus play for a hot minute in all sorts of decks, and it would hurt to lose.
A couple extra tips for that particular play:
If you activate IP in response to an effect that summons a monster to your opponent's field, Goddess will negate that monster's effects, even if they trigger on summon.
Also, though it's usually not ideal, Goddess summoned under Elf is some peak annoyance for your opponent. Immune to everything that doesn't target, and can't be targeted til Elf is dealt with, and IP's destruction protection.. it's silly.
Bro if they ban elf spright would be straight up unusable, they hit everything on the engine to just not ban elf. I hope they don't ban her soon.
@@ThePaulodash oh bro, i'm still loving Elf, too. Never been a Spright fan, really, but Elf is great tuner support. Running her in Blue-Eyes Bystial Horus these days, and she does so so much for the deck. We just got SP, too.. great days
21:40 why not wait on the linkuriboh until they trigger Princess? Then you can princess target poplar and something else then chain linkuriboh so that you don’t lose the targeting protection with elf?
This guide was amazing! Best there is! Easy understandable. I understand that its best to make guides for the new decks or meta decks but some singles cardcase guides would be cool. Expample: Diabellstar the black witch guide what you can do in diffrent decks.
I like new cards that works With old and anime decks so how to use the new cards in diffrent way helps me understand how to deckbuild With the new card.

This is the 1st archetype in awhile that I like enough to want to know all the combos and just genuinely get really good with.

Can the deck play through imperm or veiler on ash NS? If there's no additional follow up that stops everything right?
Does kurikara work if you grab it after they activated the effect or does it have to be in your hand already to be able to tribute their monster?

What if we go 2 mat apo with ip and elf, then synchro for herald of the arc light with revived formula and 2 lvl 1s? Floodgate effect seems good this format, plus linkuriboh to protect from combat
I actually have a full set of LOB, Magic Ruler, and PSV, cards from 20 years ago in mint condition then they kind of taper off in UR cards and such, in a tote. Are they worth money? Real cards? My favorite card is a double stamped Stardust Dragon I pulled.

It's probably the ygomaster client, which is an offline mod for Master Duel.
We also have verte that u can make unlike the others formats for an added dpe or mirrorjade
Question: how would you deal with something that can't be targeted or destroyed by card effects, such as the opponent having Eternal Soul (which protects Dark Magician) in back row (and other spells/traps) combined with Dark Magician the Dragon Knight (which protects all of the back row, and acts as Dark Magician while on field and/or in grave) from destruction?
You have to kill Dark Magician Dragon Knight first then the Eternal Soul then that destroys their monsters 😅
In what mode did you record this replay? Can it control the starting hand and CPU?

Yeah, destruction effects are already looking to be a liability. I've already started focusing on monster theft and alternative forms of removal(i e. Shoving things into backrow). If Apo Turbo gets big, decks on Spell/Traps might have to start using those more aggressively. And the "monster as backrow" mechanics also make Cosmic Cyclone go a lot harder than usual.
How does branded play into this?
I'm hoping you also showcase the rescue ace variet. Both pure & RA looks fun but which is better 🤔

This video is helping me so much. I thought I was a decent player, but this video shows me how much I can grow. I have been practicing on solo, but the deck doesn't seem to click. Now I am seeing all of the mistakes I am making, and now I see how I can fix them.

This combos are awesome, but some plays through disruption other than droll would be nice.

Elf is fine since the deck obvi has room for it in the extra, but it seems quite win-more tbh. If you’re going full combo interrupted, being untargetable isn’t going to be a difference maker. If you’re just linking it off you’re not getting grind game value either.
Elf is banned in paper for being significantly above the power level of a standard link 2 in a vacuum, and for its interactions summoning back merli/diviner etc that enable crazy plays. Here it’s just being made essentially as a link 4 that protects from targeting for a few moves until it hits the grave. Again, it’s hard to argue the card shouldn’t be played, but I also don’t think it makes any in game difference.
Chicken Game seems like a great tech in this deck.

You only need either Ash, Bonfire, Wanted or Diabellstar to start the best ones. Even Poplar only let you combo... whats your problem?

I got 3 Ash, 3 Poplar, 2 Dstar, 3 wanted, 2 bonfire and allot of the time I only open up with one and it gets negated
It’s like my opponents get the crazy awesome snake eyes hands all the time that can play through hella hand traps and I get the. Normal Ash gets negated and pass

The snake-eyes birch usually your play if your decide to play where arf thou?. Where arf thou? Is a very good support for snake-eyes which 2000 burn in the end turn is worth it since it give a free poplar special summon after your search it. Lullaby of obedient also good support but because it is UR and only good snake-eyes compare to other deck, the value is not justified with UR compare where arf thou? which is R only

You can't replace elf, but you can play without it, you just won't have baronne + apollo + borrel.
