I never understood why so many people don't like him... he always told her the truth, he never held anything back, he helped her deal with Hamilton, he is considerate, when Grey-Sloan needed her he moved to Seattle for her and to help the hospital... plus he has the looks (Scott Speedman is HOT). And Ellen and Scott are friend in real life, she even said that after his first appearance [in her words]: "pretty much begged him to return".

Ellen recently said that she received more support after announcing her departure from outside people than inside and considering that at the 400th episode party Scott said something like that she had been playing Meredith Grey for 18 years and wanted a break, I'm sure he was one of her supporters... for some reason they are friends. She should not be responsible for other people's career - and let’s be honest… if she didn’t get support from all people inside it’s because they can even be worried about themselves and the future of the show. There are only a few actors that “survived” after Grey’s Anatomy departure where pretty much Sarah Drew (I really liked her on Stolen From Their Father), Jesse Williams (but more now) and Chyler Leigh.
When she said this to Alex I just got goosebumps all over. That was it, thats when I thought he will be on her side. He is McSweety and I was sad when he was not in the show after his first appearance. Soooo glad he came back❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
