A lot of fans say that Nick is like Derek, but Derek was sometimes selfish and didn’t always respect Meredith. Nick doesn’t seem to be that way. Time will tell.
They are both great but very different. Derek and Meredith kind of grew up together - they were both traumatised and very immature when they met, and they went through so much together and shared so much. And Derek was intense where Nick is more quiet and low-key. They are both wonderful people, it doesn't have to be better or worse.
"I haven't felt this way since Derek...", Meredith says to Alex.
FOR ONCE, they listened to the fans, and brought Scott Speedman back!
I think we ALL fell for him the very first time he passed out in front of Meredith.
The Dr. Hayes character is a nice guy; I like him a lot, but let's face it, we didn't really see too many sparks fly between him and Meredith since his arrival.
The sparks between Marsh and Meredith? UNDENIABLE!💙
The only times I saw sparks between hayes and mer was when she fell sick with covid and she needed help making a decision about a POA AND he told her to choose Someone who will choose her over and over again. The second time was when she was in limbo and he was talking to her about her daughter and telling her how much they need her. I really love him for her but Nick gives off more spark for sure

I am so excited to! I've been wishing Nick and Meredith could be together since S14E17! Seeing them together makes me so happy! I really hope that their relationship continues to grow and can't wait to watch their relationship journey. I feel like after everything Mer has gone through, all the pain and trauma, she finally has met someone who makes her feel 'bright and shiny'. Really genuinely happy and at ease. I love the rapport and affection between Nick and Mer too. And this first kiss scene was 😍. Love it! ❤
I'm so happy to see Mer happy. She deserves so much more, so I dont care if it's Nick or Hayes, as long as he brought her joy and happiness.

What I truly love about Nick and Mer is that I feel like that even if they are at the same level, he elevates her, he gives her confidence and that smile is incredible. I never saw it with McWidow. It was never organic for me. I love how naturally intimate Nick and Mer are.

What relationship? They were friends a bit. They had a couple good conversations about grief, which helped them both. Nothing really happened. There was no romantic relationship. There was nothing to fast forward.

I agree... i do think it is sweet they meet up again and see there is still a connection years after, when they first created a fleating but significient connection, but were ships passing in the night.., and then years later by fate, or something run into each other and still have that spark, that connection that touched them in the first place, so they try as the setting and possibilities are better now, plus both having gone through the almost death that makes them grab on to life and hold on to the few happy and good things in life and not waste time... but at the same time took a few dates to see if it was real or just imaginative, before they drove head first into it... at the same time they proved in this episode that they can do brain sex as well, and come over it well, which was nice to see...
I really hope Amelia goes back to Link. This new character is okay but there's not much there between them.
Also, McKidney and Mer had me smiling ear to ear. They are incredible together!

I love MerNick so much... they are adorable... so cute and pure and romantic... and KaiMelia being flirty was amazing :D I dig these ships big time... actually i dig Minnesota storuline over all a lot more than much of the rest of the storylines (I like Winston, and some of Owen's storylines as well this season and the Bailey/Ben in this episode)... the rest is boring... but honestly I just like Minnesota as one of the few...
I think they’re setting up Minnesota for a possible exit for Mer ie. an ending to the show. I mean it works. I like Mer with Nick and it’s nice that she’s able to go back to her early neuro days and work with Amelia on something so significant.

Is anyone else seeing potential in Jo and Link? Even if they aren’t romantic interests atm, I am happy that they have each other as friends and people to lean on. I like that they are each other’s “persons” so I am looking forward to see their friendship develop into maybe something more.
I’ve never been a fan of jo but I do believe she’s been through a lot and I never liked her and Alex (I thought Alex deserved better, like izzie), since link and jo have been friends forever I think it’s great that their friendship is so great I don’t even like this stupid show but they both deserve to be happy and I wouldn’t mind if they got together and started to coparent Luna and scout . There’s just no passion left in this show anymore

An unpopular opinion-I don't like this Nick, at all, and I never did, from the first time he showed up as a patient and asked to crawl into a hammock with Meredith-his doctor that he just met. It's creepy and weird and I don't like them together.

I'm sorry, not sorry, but please don't mess up the storyline with Amelia and Link. The writers are always making her run from her problems, just because she doesn't want to commit to Link. And she has a baby boy. Yet she wants to be in Minnesota flirting with Kai, while she has a whole family back home. So she can commit with someone else, but not the father of her child. i think they solved the pandemic rather fast, and are still in sync with our timeline. just without covid.

@@SarahhGomess yes they did... and yes Scout should be 2 years old.. greys is horrible with ages of the children and pregnancies proven by when Teddy was pregnant for like 13 months or something... and Bailey was the world's oldest 4 years old... or when Teddy and Amelia easily got pregnant when they are meant to be around 45 or 50... honestly don't try to keep up with ages on the show for kids or mothers or residents it is just gonna give you a headache and an anurism...
We spent SO LONG building the relationship between Mer and Hayes just for us to NEVER SEE IT!
There is an episode where Mer said it didn't work because McWidow kids don't want another mom so Mer had to back out, because the same way she will do if her kids don't want anyone else as a dad.

I suspect Hayes will be avoiding Meredith out of guilt for developing feelings for Megan. Megan will either find it funny that yet another guy also liked Meredith after going through it with Riggs or she will be furious. Either way, it is really great that they brought back Megan and Farouk. I hoped they would when Martin Henderson got the role on Virgin River (netfix; it’s surprisingly good).

Hayes and Mer tried but Hayes kids were not on board there dad dating someone else they started having panic attacks anxiety so they stop and remained as friends Hayes even told bailey what happened, and Even Meredith when they met in Minnesota in a restaurant Meredith tells Nick what happened and that's why Mer took her chance with Nick.
