Lia!! I just love this hair though.. ugggh but definitely understand and applaud your reasons. So if you have time can you do a video on replacements/comparable hair to your last year Top 20. For the hairs in the Top 10 that are with the companies (were) not using... because I dont keep up with the politics of it.. I just do what you say... But I loved this hair. So whn you have time. Lol
Wearing now 3 full weeks. Just got back from cruise vacation. Climbed Dunns River Falls and got hair soaked. Washed with water only and used light mousse to separate tangles. No other products. Hair is popping and looking good. I'll wear 2 more weeks! Thanks Lia!
Thanks for your feedback BunnyQ Bee I will be climbing Dunns River Falls soon and wanted to know if this hair will work out for me since I am a thick 4C. I wonder if anyone with a 4C tried this hair yet. Did you experience the same frizziness when splitting the hair into smaller pieces for the front during installation, like some of the others?
La'Tisha Bandele I just got back from a short vacation with the waterfall hair. I think the hair still looks great considering I got in the sea and the pool almost everyday. The person who did my hair only separated a few towards the top and I did notice that those strands got a little frizzier, but probably can be tamed with a little moose after I shampoo and condition. I washed it with conditioner once while I was gone (4 days). Most of the hair I was able to separate with my fingers, other parts I did trim. Since I have 4C hair I don’t usually do leave out like Lia Lavon does so it was easier to maintain my edges if I just wrapped it night.

mrsstrick87 the hair didn’t require too much work to maintain. As the weeks went by I just separated the curls and trim the ends so it still looked nice. It was very good quality hair.
Betty Pearson I did 2 knots and used some liquid gel while installing. While wearing I used braid sheen spray. Went on vacation and the hair held up nicely. Hope this helps!
I had this hair installed for my trip to Costa Rica 4 weeks ago (May 7) and it has held up great! I was able to swim in the pool and the ocean with zero problems. The only thing I will say about this hair is that it can get knotted together in some spots but I simply cut them out as needed. I didn't use the pineapple method for sleeping; silk scarf around the edges and bonnet the rest.
Lia!!! This video is over a year old and I JUST YESTERDAY found Afrinaptural Waterfall in one of my local beauty supply stores in Virginia Beach. I was so excited! Bought 5 packs!

After viewing alot of video, I decided on your suggestion - water fall - for my upcoming cruise. I'm a swimmer and dont plan on avoiding the water. I saw another video that suggested washing the hair with cold water and conditioner to get the "chemicals" and "gunk" out the hair after it is unpacked. I took a chance. The hair is laying out to dry. She suggested giving it two days prior to install. Just out of the water, the hair looks beautiful. It's very soft to the touch. The curl pattern is in tact. I'm optimistic I'll get a beautiful result. This will be my first crochet. Again, thanks for your time and effort. Your videos have been a big help.

I wash my edges weekly and gel them down, and cut away the frizz when needed, and it still looks great. Thanks again!
@@LiaLavon Hi, another quick question. So I've had the Mane Concept Waterfall curl installed twice now. I love it, but want to try Freetress Presto Curl. I watched your review on it, but saw you used mousse and had a different routine with that hair. I don't use anything on the waterfall hair. Do you think I could do the same with Presto curl, or is the Presto curl more maintenance?

I think the hair is so good because it’s by Afri Naptural! They have the best texture of hair out of all crochet hair brands! I have used their straight course textured hair for hot roller set crochet braids and it looks so natural. I will be purchasing this.
I brought beach curl based on your review and loved it. So I thought I would give this hair and try and l am loving it. The colors are limited in this but the feel of it is amazing. It’s so soft and very very low maintenance.

I have been hip to mane concept Caribbean line since 2014 you look beautiful.... one hard to find but beauty is the Cuban ripple. It's my signature look. Try that next with them you will love it.
How dod you get you knots to stay i just tried to install and I even separated it to very tiny sections and it still slipping ive done 3 4 5 and when i try to do the 2 piece knot on top of the 4 knot it frizzes up so bad that i have to pull it out n throw away,, help

Love this hair!! Prestretched just means that the hair is already thinned and shaped. Which means not having to cut volume out and thin it out. Which is a MAJOR PLUS!!!!!!
ooooh girl I just bought and had it delivered. I see what you are talking about with the texture of the hair. Not silky at all. I got some for myself and sister for our cruise. I love to scuba dive so we shall see how she holds up
I currently have this hair in going on 4 weeks and am just now having to do any maintenance. I only add water and cut out any frizzing. Very minimal tangling.sometimes I wear a bonnet sometimes I don't. I just started twisting it at night and that's it. I had 4 packs in and it was too full for my preference. So I took some out. I think im good with 3 packs and separating the hair of 1 pack. The hair is soft and I only have it knotted once. So I have had to go in and tighten a few here and there so I'd knot at least 2x the next time. Great review and I'd definitely get this hair again!
Keep repeating and keep being fabulous at making crochet hair and other videos. Last year, I got into crochet styles. However, I was still using the texturizer. In late June, before I turned 50, I did a chop. My hair was already shirt, so I can't call it a big chop. I have developed a washing and product regimen and my hair is growing like crazy. I'm looking for a good curly or wavy hair for my bohemian style. I layer different shorter thin senegalese twists with braids and still missing that good accent of curly hair. I bought one pack of some kind of Freetress hair and gave it to my granddaughter because it frizzed as soon as I separated it. That hair looks great.

Girl! I found the hair at hairstopandshop.com. Anyway I mixed the 1B/27 & 1B/30 in the Waterfall Curl. I absolutely love the Mane Concept Caribbean Naptural Waterfall curl. The texture is so soft and quick and easy install; used 3 1/2 packs! Thanks for the recommendation!

Omg! This hair is much lighter than expected. I inserted the T1b/30 and 27 and they are super light. Its not even really a 1b, more like a 2. This is like a honey blond/blond hair. Maybe I was sent the wrong color? Gonna rock it anyway.

Ooo lordy I'm worried just got this hair but seeing mixed reviews. Praying it is still good hair. I'm going with hair that my hair can stay up for at least 4 weeks with minimal maintenance.
Ronic M West I didn’t get the same color as Lia. 😖😖😖Soooo, It’s definitely a different texture in the color 2, but I’ve made it work. Week 1: I just let it be. No mousse, and I like to shake my head to keep the curls loose. Week 2: An alcohol free mousse, and separate the curls. Week 3: (I’m on week three now), same as week 2. I wouldn’t say it’s low maintenance, but you can make it work. I’m not finna be looking crazy out here in these streets. I’m still getting complements. My maintenance routine is separating the curls, cutting out frizz, and applying mousse ONCE A WEEK. But I do believe Mane Concept has some inconsistencies with their hair. Next time, I’ll try the exact one Lia has on in this video. It looks low maintenance.
@@Leshay5 thanks for replying im starting to think this is their problem. I have travel like always coming up. So for now this hair will be a no go for me. I purchased it but won't use until I know I be at home at least 80% of the time. I'm definitely will be moving a lot and swimming etc. on this trip. I had such high hopes. I do have the same color as her. So once I install I'll let you know.
I bought the Waterfall hair because of your review. I found it at hairstopandshop.com. As you stated, the 1b30 is more of a dull color. I did buy one pack of 1b27 to add some highlight color to the front but it too is a dull color in the sense that it isnt the honey blondish color that I'm used to from other brands of 1b27. I used 4 packs of the 1b30 but could have used a half pack more of it. I think because I didnt separate the strands on the bottom so it seemed like I was running out at the top but I filled those spots in with the 1b27. The spiral curl pattern is lovely! I will be using Hawaiian Silky on it because I find on the lighter hairs it shows frizz more often than other hairs. Anyway, thank you for recommending this hair! I had to get used to the bigness of it but it's actually really pretty💕💕

Lia... Lia... LIA!!! You are my go-to crochet guru! When I look for hair online... of you haven't tried it... I'm skeptical. Lol. I love your videos... I love your personality... I love your honesty!!! So... with that being said... i just ordered this hair, at $5.99/bag... i wish they had it in an ombre but I ordered 1B/30 & 1B/27 and will mix it a bit. I literally can't freaking wait! THANK YOU LOVE!!! Keep it going!! (Would love to get your opinion on Bobbi Boss hair... I've only worn it in braiding hair sooooo... unsure about crochet. 🤷🏾♀️)
I bought this hair because of this review, and because Lia's reviews seem very thorough. Later I've seen a lot of negative feedback about the hair, but it's hard to say what people did for install, how they maintained the style, etc. Likewise I've read that maybe the darker colors are more prone to frizz than lighter. Since I went through and purchased, I will give it a try. I have 1b/30, 1b/27 and one pack of 2. I will see if I can get away with using only the color, and will not separate. I'll be doing a combo of wig/cornrow install. I workout almost daily (weight lifting , cardio, hot yoga, Latin dance) and will be wearing it through a vigorous professional dance audition so I can definitely give you all some follow up!
Here is my follow up in case anyone wants an extra opinion. Tl;dr - I would buy this hair again Details: this is my first install with crochet. I am a human hair girl all the way, only using synthetic for ponytails so I was anxious but really wanted a less expensive option for how frequently I like to change my look. See my first comment about how active I am and how I installed to get an idea of what I put it through. It is NOT a low maintenance hair IMO but it's not so much work that it's a deal breaker. Yes it does frizz but even with a little messiness it looked good. It is a very sexy, flattering curl and I feel like it was even sexier when I cut it to shoulder length. I've been getting compliments daily from men and women of all races. Men are digging it White, Black, Asian, Latino...if you're a single, straight woman you know this matters lol. Maybe I just look better with curls idk. I recommend it for sure.

Ok... I've had this hair in for 6 weeks... it's gorgeous.. but the first 3 weeks... I hated it.. it looked plastic baby doll... as soon as the curls relaxed.. it looked like a total different hair... I had another install date but I decided to see how long it will look good.. and each day it gets more amazing.. Now I do go through it with detangeling once a week before I wash and condition my braids.. I pineapple it every night.. but other than that...there's absolutely no maintenance.. I washed it yesterday and this morning everyone thought that I had a new install. When I do my routine..I snip out any frizz and knots.. but as I wear it..the frizz is less. It does tangle more in the back..underneath.. but it's not as big now as before when it was first installed.. My bday is coming up..and I decided to keep this in because it looks soooooooooo good. I do work out five days a week.. if that helps.. but this is my favorite hair so far.. I bought five packs on Amazon.. 2-1b and 3- 2 colors.. I highly recommend this..but remember.. you have to get past the first 3 weeks to really love it... 💋💋
I did leave it long and cut fringe/bang... I cut the fringe uneven.. only use mouse in it after my detangeling, snipping and wash routine when it dries..and it dries really fast.. I'm getting more compliments now, than the first install date.. I'll come back in and let everyone know exactly how long I wore it and what the final look was...
Just shy of 8 weeks yall.. I couldn't do it any longer..I was completely tired of the look. It still was manageable... I think I pushed it far enough before it became ragged... I'll revisit it in the future.. very impressive

Hey Lia, thanks for this video. The hair looks so beautiful on you! I just recently got it installed but didn't have the same outcome as you. From day 1 it felt dry and snappy (like it would snap every time I ran my fingers through it) I must have got a bad batch...? Then 3 days in I used Hawaiian Silky Miracle Worker (it's like a curl activator for anyone who doesn't know) which you reviewed some time ago and it literally made the hair beautiful :). I thought it would be worth saying this here just in case any of your followers also get a bad batch lol! Keep doing what you are doing. Your crochet braid reviews are so good and oh so helpful :) xx

I think all chrochet hair should come presectioned because pulling it apart makes it frizz more

@@LiaLavon Hi, another quick question. So I've had the Mane Concept Waterfall curl installed twice now. I love it, but want to try Freetress Presto Curl. I watched your review on it, but saw you used mousse and had a different routine with that hair. I don't use anything on the waterfall hair. Do you think I could do the same with Presto curl, or is the Presto curl more maintenance?

I think the hair is so good because it’s by Afri Naptural! They have the best texture of hair out of all crochet hair brands! I have used their straight course textured hair for hot roller set crochet braids and it looks so natural. I will be purchasing this.

I brought beach curl based on your review and loved it. So I thought I would give this hair and try and l am loving it. The colors are limited in this but the feel of it is amazing. It’s so soft and very very low maintenance.

How dod you get you knots to stay i just tried to install and I even separated it to very tiny sections and it still slipping ive done 3 4 5 and when i try to do the 2 piece knot on top of the 4 knot it frizzes up so bad that i have to pull it out n throw away,, help

Love this hair!! Prestretched just means that the hair is already thinned and shaped. Which means not having to cut volume out and thin it out. Which is a MAJOR PLUS!!!!!!

I currently have this hair in going on 4 weeks and am just now having to do any maintenance. I only add water and cut out any frizzing. Very minimal tangling.sometimes I wear a bonnet sometimes I don't. I just started twisting it at night and that's it. I had 4 packs in and it was too full for my preference. So I took some out. I think im good with 3 packs and separating the hair of 1 pack. The hair is soft and I only have it knotted once. So I have had to go in and tighten a few here and there so I'd knot at least 2x the next time. Great review and I'd definitely get this hair again!

Keep repeating and keep being fabulous at making crochet hair and other videos. Last year, I got into crochet styles. However, I was still using the texturizer. In late June, before I turned 50, I did a chop. My hair was already shirt, so I can't call it a big chop. I have developed a washing and product regimen and my hair is growing like crazy. I'm looking for a good curly or wavy hair for my bohemian style. I layer different shorter thin senegalese twists with braids and still missing that good accent of curly hair. I bought one pack of some kind of Freetress hair and gave it to my granddaughter because it frizzed as soon as I separated it. That hair looks great.

Girl! I found the hair at hairstopandshop.com. Anyway I mixed the 1B/27 & 1B/30 in the Waterfall Curl. I absolutely love the Mane Concept Caribbean Naptural Waterfall curl. The texture is so soft and quick and easy install; used 3 1/2 packs! Thanks for the recommendation!

Omg! This hair is much lighter than expected. I inserted the T1b/30 and 27 and they are super light. Its not even really a 1b, more like a 2. This is like a honey blond/blond hair. Maybe I was sent the wrong color? Gonna rock it anyway.

From what I’ve seen, those who separate the hair, experience frizz, compared to those who just install it as is. 🤷🏽♀️ I’ll find our Friday.

I didn’t get the same color as Lia. 😖😖😖Soooo, It’s definitely a different texture in the color 2, but I’ve made it work.
Week 1: I just let it be. No mousse, and I like to shake my head to keep the curls loose.
Week 2: An alcohol free mousse, and separate the curls.
Week 3: (I’m on week three now), same as week 2.
I wouldn’t say it’s low maintenance, but you can make it work. I’m not finna be looking crazy out here in these streets. I’m still getting complements.
My maintenance routine is separating the curls, cutting out frizz, and applying mousse ONCE A WEEK.
But I do believe Mane Concept has some inconsistencies with their hair. Next time, I’ll try the exact one Lia has on in this video.
It looks low maintenance.
@@Leshay5 thanks for replying im starting to think this is their problem. I have travel like always coming up. So for now this hair will be a no go for me. I purchased it but won't use until I know I be at home at least 80% of the time. I'm definitely will be moving a lot and swimming etc. on this trip. I had such high hopes. I do have the same color as her. So once I install I'll let you know.
I bought the Waterfall hair because of your review. I found it at hairstopandshop.com. As you stated, the 1b30 is more of a dull color. I did buy one pack of 1b27 to add some highlight color to the front but it too is a dull color in the sense that it isnt the honey blondish color that I'm used to from other brands of 1b27. I used 4 packs of the 1b30 but could have used a half pack more of it. I think because I didnt separate the strands on the bottom so it seemed like I was running out at the top but I filled those spots in with the 1b27. The spiral curl pattern is lovely! I will be using Hawaiian Silky on it because I find on the lighter hairs it shows frizz more often than other hairs. Anyway, thank you for recommending this hair! I had to get used to the bigness of it but it's actually really pretty💕💕

I bought this hair because of this review, and because Lia's reviews seem very thorough. Later I've seen a lot of negative feedback about the hair, but it's hard to say what people did for install, how they maintained the style, etc. Likewise I've read that maybe the darker colors are more prone to frizz than lighter. Since I went through and purchased, I will give it a try. I have 1b/30, 1b/27 and one pack of 2. I will see if I can get away with using only the color, and will not separate. I'll be doing a combo of wig/cornrow install. I workout almost daily (weight lifting , cardio, hot yoga, Latin dance) and will be wearing it through a vigorous professional dance audition so I can definitely give you all some follow up!

Details: this is my first install with crochet. I am a human hair girl all the way, only using synthetic for ponytails so I was anxious but really wanted a less expensive option for how frequently I like to change my look. See my first comment about how active I am and how I installed to get an idea of what I put it through. It is NOT a low maintenance hair IMO but it's not so much work that it's a deal breaker. Yes it does frizz but even with a little messiness it looked good. It is a very sexy, flattering curl and I feel like it was even sexier when I cut it to shoulder length. I've been getting compliments daily from men and women of all races. Men are digging it White, Black, Asian, Latino...if you're a single, straight woman you know this matters lol. Maybe I just look better with curls idk. I recommend it for sure.
The Fit Fox lol I feel the same way! I get more compliments in curly hair than straight! I’m like people must hate me with straight hair.

Day one with this hair... I LOVE IT!!
Week going on week three... washing today... it’s kinda frizzy around the front. Up to this point I have used no products... feeling good!
Ok... I've had this hair in for 6 weeks... it's gorgeous.. but the first 3 weeks... I hated it.. it looked plastic baby doll... as soon as the curls relaxed.. it looked like a total different hair...
I had another install date but I decided to see how long it will look good.. and each day it gets more amazing..
Now I do go through it with detangeling once a week before I wash and condition my braids.. I pineapple it every night.. but other than that...there's absolutely no maintenance..
I washed it yesterday and this morning everyone thought that I had a new install.
When I do my routine..I snip out any frizz and knots.. but as I wear it..the frizz is less. It does tangle more in the back..underneath.. but it's not as big now as before when it was first installed..
My bday is coming up..and I decided to keep this in because it looks soooooooooo good.
I do work out five days a week.. if that helps.. but this is my favorite hair so far..
I bought five packs on Amazon.. 2-1b and 3- 2 colors..
I highly recommend this..but remember.. you have to get past the first 3 weeks to really love it...

I use mouse after it dries from my wash
I did leave it long and cut fringe/bang... I cut the fringe uneven.. only use mouse in it after my detangeling, snipping and wash routine when it dries..and it dries really fast.. I'm getting more compliments now, than the first install date..
I'll come back in and let everyone know exactly how long I wore it and what the final look was...
Just shy of 8 weeks yall.. I couldn't do it any longer..I was completely tired of the look. It still was manageable... I think I pushed it far enough before it became ragged... I'll revisit it in the future.. very impressive

BTW I used the Freetress Gogo with colors 30 27 and what ever number signifies the blondest blonde.... soooo cute but the lighter colors do tangle more so perhaps that was the issue with the tangling on the MC stretched/layered style that was your recent semi fail!! Still looked so nice perhaps the best on you.... the lighter colors just light up your face!
Hey Lia, thanks for this video. The hair looks so beautiful on you! I just recently got it installed but didn't have the same outcome as you. From day 1 it felt dry and snappy (like it would snap every time I ran my fingers through it) I must have got a bad batch...? Then 3 days in I used Hawaiian Silky Miracle Worker (it's like a curl activator for anyone who doesn't know) which you reviewed some time ago and it literally made the hair beautiful :). I thought it would be worth saying this here just in case any of your followers also get a bad batch lol!
