Tosin signed, Marc Guiu signed, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall being signed. Golding going the other way. A lot of strategic decisions by the Chelsea hierarchy this window and perhaps going forward. A new era begins once more, but will it work. We as fans hope so.

A left footed midfielder that can shoot is what we need. I doubt Madueke will start, so Palmer on the right (RAM or RW) and Dewsbury Hall as left sided CAM/attacking CM would be crazy in the Maresca system
Calafiori would surely be a great signing (assuming the price is under 50mil). But if we can't get him then Inacio and Hincapie are also great options. And if we're looking for a bargain to pick up (maybe even regardless of whether we're signing one of the 3 mentioned above) then I recon Josh Doig could do it as a LB/LCB

Dewsbury-Hall can be a stop-gap in giving the other midfielders time to adapt to the new system and then will eventually find himself on the bench fighting for his spot. It’s a great signing.

When we played Leicester in the FA cup we saw that he was a premier league player he’s intelligent technically excellent and much as Fernandes is a good Player I don’t think he contributes enough he’s overrated on his showings so far and is very poor defensively if we were to offer 70 m we should Sell not ship out Carney. Lavia Carney DH Calcedo and Gallagher with the New Kid from Villa is enough options. Or If Gallagher is sold then Alex Matos as a DM
I’d love calafiore and I think he fits the bill perfectly for us however there is an abundance of great cb’s available on the market that are very obtainable Calafiore, inacio, Antonio silva Danso Hancko medina I’m worried about the goalkeeper also again Diogo Costa is obtainable and so is Mamardashvili and Romano reports Valencia are only looking for around 35 million euros for him which is super low for a keeper of that standard and he’s a ball playing keeper, I don’t understand why we aren’t in for him he’s an opportunity on the market, ball playing keeper and fits the age profile
Financially Dewsbury Hall cost us nothing this year. His fee will be amortized across his contract and we can put the 5 million on the books for this year.

@@jt19933 Let's not create our own narratives. Poch was fully supported and knew what he signed up. Before hiring him, the team communicated their philosophy and direction to him and he agreed. He signed the contract being fully informed. The problem was that he tried to "move the goal posts" and change the terms of the agreement after his first season; especially after he didn't even make the top four (as stipulated in his contract). Whether that was achievable or not as a goal is another conversation, but he knew the expectations and philosophy of the team when he signed his contract. It wasn't the board that made him play players out of position or have no team strategy other than high press; I like the guy but some of his ideas were archaic and don't work in the modern game. He did well but figured out the team way too late. It took him until the end of the season and some forced injuries (Enzo) before he finally started to set up to the team's strengths. Hopefully he will find somewhere that fits his style well and thrive there.
