Great video. Gave me some good ideas for making a new and improved version. Looked like the steps were too many and overly tedious though. Definitely didn’t like all the staples - They’ll eventually be struck by an errant arrow or loosen from rust and end up on the ground for you or your dog to step on. I currently use a couple targets made out of a double heavy-duty burlap bag filled with sofa stuffing. They are very light to easily throw into the back of a pickup and they last forever - never matting up or failing to stop an arrow, at least from my 62 lb. osage orange longbow.

Must not be seeing very many. While this will work, it is a lot of work for something that is designed to eventually break down. The spray foam isnt a durable material and will deteriorate rather quickly, especially with heavy draw bows. The semi-permanent construction makes it difficult to replace interior components.

  • @2bingtim

Cheaper & simpler: Collect lots of corrugated cardboard & simply tie &/or glue &/or tape together. c.12-20 layers good for most bows though you need to keep clear of rain or damp. Much more biodegradable. Hay bales are reasonable though often a little too soft. Paper FITA target faces can be had quite cheaply too rather than spray paint, or just collect roundals of paper. Interesting video though. Wonder how many copying it will burn their boss/shed etc using blow torch on plastic/wood/foam/fabric.
