I'm so thankful you are not "rambly"!😍 Barbara, you are not only incredibly talented and passionate about what you do, but you are also very classy in your presentation style (mindful intelligent speech, perfectly manicured nails, editing to cut out redundant footage). I highly appreciate your hard work and attention to detail.
ohh i adore the bird-book-pockets sown together (around minute 15). they look so delicate and yet full of texture. as always, this was such a nice video. thank you!
Another great one! For silk, I buy old garish blouses at thrift stores or garage sales, sometimes for a quarter, and cut them in strips. I have also cut the.m up to cover journals, make tabs, etc. Have a great week-end!
When you were talking about the white from the napkin showing through on the bingo card, the trick to not having the white show is to put lots and lots of mod podge or gel medium, whatever you are using. I learned that with tissue paper in an art class and I’m sure it probably applies to napkins as well the more you put the more it disappears.
Bobsi, Oh wow...where to begin? I love so many of the things you made for this video. I wasn't sure when you began if I was going to like the napkin on the flashcard but it turned out absolutely gorgeous and proved me wrong! I also love the woman golfer you put on the back. Now I am interested about the history of women golfers. I looked it up on google and it said in 1552 Mary queen of scotts played golf although she was criticized for playing golf and not spending more time on royal matters. I really loved the pocket you made with the birds on them. I adore all the goodies you put in it but I was a little sad they covered the birds. I guess that's what a pocket is for. LOL! I am always amazed by what you do. You have the soul of an artist. Have a wonderful day my sweet friend! Amily
Amy Williams Aaaw, Amily you are always so sweet, I’m so touched by your comment. I think you can put napkin on just about anything 😂. I understand about the bird being covered up, but the good thing is that it’s still there if I take the ephemera out! 😂 love that you checked the golfing history, so interesting! ❤️😘
What a great video so packed full of beautiful techniques!! Great use of napkins too! I saw a video once where you lay napkin face down on ascetate apply modpog on back of napkin. Then flip it over and put on your surface.then your able to rub over top of ascetate to get all wrinkles out of napkin without tearing. I've tried it and it works great! Just a little tip to share.
I just started purchasing napkins and your video is motivating me to use them. I would have never thought to use them on ephemera like you did. What a great idea! Thanks for sharing
I just discovered your channel and I love your style. I’m anxious to try using napkins in my junk journal which I have just begun dabbling in. I’m also intrigued with you living in Wien. I lived in Austria for two years and fell in love with your country! I’m very impressed with your command of English.
Suzanne Lutz Thanks so much Suzanne! I’m so happy you are enjoying my videos! Just go for it! Your journal is for trying new things! 😊. It’s not going in a museum! 😂 that’s the only way to learn and that way you can document your progress over time. How fun that you have lived in Austria for a while 😊. I lived in the US for a while so that’s how I know English 😊. Liebe Grüße aus Wien! ❤️
Hey Barbara..thanks for this...have just received some lovely napkins and am in the mood for experimenting with them....your share is perfectly timed ... Thanks again Lovely 👋🏽😄👋🏽👋🏽👋🏽
If you add more medium to the top of the napkin while your layer until the napkin is still wet, the napkin will disappear. I use a natural bristle brush very gently, since a sponge brush would probably tear the wet napkin.
@@49dragonflies you'll have to wait a little while longer as I've still got to finish recording the finishing off. I will have a new video up later today though... 😀😀🌼❤️
Thanks for sending me down the Instagram rabbit hole with Alison’s page. She does beautiful work, I really like the simplistic style, I have no idea where she lives so I don’t know if shipping would be prohibitive or not I couldn’t really tell where she lived from her Instagram if she was in the United States or in Europe which would kill me for shipping if she was in Europe.
Linda C thanks Linda, um, honestly the eyelets are random, I don’t even know what size they are. In the description of the tool it says 1/8” and 3/16” would fit, but so far everything seems to fit.
Your work is inspiring as always ❤ Im writing those "11 ways..." on my journal as well. A good reminder for those days when the mind is procrastinating and being unproductive 😅😄
Gorgeous spread, as always! I was wondering if I could use Gesso to tone down the shine of my mod podge as it's not matte, and I'd rather use it up , any ideas? Also can you make gel medium?
Susan Fiano Thanks Susan. I’m sure the Liqitex clear gesso would make your mod podge matt, I don’t have experience with other clear gessos. I have link for that one in my description box. I have never made gel medium, sorry.
Alexandra Hexenwerkstatt Vielen lieben Dank Alexandra! Den Kurs mach ich online und den gibts bei www.laudius.de. Freut mich, dass Dir meine Videos gefallen 😊❤️
Yes, the Ramblin Crafters Chelle and Clint can be a little rambling for me, and I often think what a mess, what the hell is she doing, but then everything always turns out beautiful in the end.!
I do calligraphy, and never heard of adding ink to nib with brush.. I learned over 30 yrs ago, so maybe that's a new way of doing it...hmmmm...I'll ck that out. Thank you for GOALS...I'll ck that out also. Pretty work, TFS
Itsparks138 Thanks for your feedback! That was certainly not my intention! Some viewers prefer the rambling, down don’t. Neither is better or worse. Sorry if it came across that way! ☹️
Such lovely napkins. Thank you for sharing your lovely creations using napkins. Love the technique using water and paintbrush.
celestial sense Thank you! That technique is amazing! 😊

Lyn’s Altered Arts She has her own style 😊. Some prefer the slower rambly videos. There is something for everyone 😊

Pretty work, TFS
Roksanna Stephens Thanks Roksanna. I know that way of inking was new to me too, but I actually like it 😊
@@49dragonflies I like the idea as well, I bet it saves the life of the nib, certain way easier to clean, and probably doesn't clog it.
I have the same Paris napkin!
Done On Paper it’s a great one! 👍🏻😊
Are you saying happy mail? How does someone participate? Your pieces are beautiful!
Thank you Kim! I have a video about happy mail here: th-cam.com/video/-lYE9Qnk1V4/w-d-xo.html
I didn't see... did you actually finish decoupaging the napkins or did you just use the Mod Podge to glue them down?
B-ma's crafty corner I also sealed the napkins with mod podge on top.
I love your work! What is ‘happy mail’ that you refer to? Katie
katie trout Thank you Katie! ❤️ I have a video titled Happy Mail which explains everything 😊. I hope that helps 😊

My Happy Space hi, I live in Vienna, Austria 🇦🇹 😊
Good video but I think your remarks didn’t cast Rambling Crafter in a positive light. Though I don’t believe that was your intention.
Itsparks138 Thanks for your feedback! That was certainly not my intention! Some viewers prefer the rambling, down don’t. Neither is better or worse. Sorry if it came across that way! ☹️
