really baller video, thank you! I have been learning c4d lite and lusting after the studio version... and this video is what ive been looking for in understanding what i cant do (yet) while i learn lite!
Awesome! Thank you. Been getting more in to 3D work recently, and have been really struggling to understand how I can light/render and move the C4D scene within AE. Now I know!
For the benefit of others, things have changed a lot! Still, Blender 2.9 is a much better solution even Element 3D v2.2.2 (old but still very relevant) is the better and cheap option. If you need to 3D model and want to use C4D (for some reason?) You can model in Blender save as FBX or OBJ and import it into C4D lite. I think C4D lite is just a sales gimmick to try and sell C4D not impressed.
What's the best way to include a 3D model made in Blender to an After Effects composition, using C4D Lite or using and addon? which is the best addon? Would really appreciate your insight.
7:50 mmmmm we do indeed learn about lighting in 2D. It is one of the key elements to achieving depth and space. Not quite sure why you would think that...
Can I force After Effects to use the Studio Version of Cinema 4D instead of the light version. I don't want to have 2 separated yet the same Cinema 4D Installed. Thank you
so you can use any external renderer with c4d studio in AE - why didn’t you show that in AE? That’s cool, the workflow should be better than element3d then?
I've been trying to figure this out as the render settings in cinema4d lite are really limited, you can add a denoiser effect in after effects to the actual cinema4d layer if that makes sense - seems to clean it up a lot!

Are there any blender/ae scripts/plugins that provide as seamless an experience as using c4dlite with ae?
