One piece episode 897 confirms luffy death. Luffy picked up a cursed sword and it’s said that the sword will bring death to whoever it touches. That’s why the owner never touched it after luffy picked it up and why it was hanged on the wall. Luffy will die at the end of the series but I think it would be an illness that causes him to die. Luffy was already doomed to die when he touched the cursed sword even if he dies to a different cause at the end of the series.

I disagree. In my opinion, it is much more powerful from a thematic standpoint for Luffy to not be executed at the end of the series. As many have mentioned in the past, one of the core themes that appears to be constantly reinforced in the One Piece story is moral pluralism: Just because you are a pirate does not mean you are "bad", just because you are a marine doesn't mean you are "good", just because you come from a "bad" bloodline doesn't mean you are also "bad" etc. Luffy being executed at the end goes against this theme and only reinforces the pre-existing worldview that despite ones good actions and character, you are ultimately still defined by your label - "pirate", "son of Dragon" etc. At the end of the story (due to the end of the Celestial Dragons, reformation of the World Government/Marines), I believe that the people of the One Piece world will no longer have these binary views about good and evil. The general public will not see pirates as universally bad, and Luffy will be seen in a neutral light. We already see this happening at a smaller scale, based on the views of the people who inhabit the islands that the Straw Hats visit. Or some of the Marines that have close interaction with Luffy like Coby & Smoker. And THIS is what will bring the story full circle. Despite having a journey that very much mirrors Roger's, Luffy's journey will not end in the same way. Symbolizing that the world has changed. And highlighting one of the key messages that Oda has been trying to convey since the very start of the series. Note: This does not mean that Luffy will not DIE at the end of the series. Just that it is unlikely that he will be executed by the World Government.
TLDR: I don't see Luffy being executed by the World Government at the end of the series because it would undercut a major theme in the story and prevent a symbolic act of story progression in the One Piece world.
Yeah, I disagree too. The one who will die on that scaffold will probably be Vivi and that'll bring down the permanent, irreparable, annihilation of the World Government. Some people's strong wills and dreams (Luffy) destroy others dreams (Koby and Smoker).
great arguments. i also don't see luffy being executed. dying yes, but not by execution. if it really has to end in loguetown with the execution of someone i'd rather say that it's imu or whoever is at the top of the world government being executed to showcase the true end of the old world government and pave the way for whatever kind of new government is gonna follow, if any.
If luffy ends up freeing the world from the government in the end then there would be no government to even kill him? I think that luffy will eventually settle down somewhere and be trully free at the end. Roger died to pave the way for luffy to live!
Tbh I think he’ll fake his death so that he can travel the seas and experience the other blues with a handful of the crew. If the shorten life span does catch up to him it’ll be after he does everything he needs too
This was my thought... I see there being a major overhaul in world government. There's literally a group of revolutionaries waiting to overturn the current system and those revolutionaries are largely made up of family & friends to one Monkey d. Luffy. Even the current marines have a number of Luffy supporters (garp, Colby, helmeppo). Likely whoever is going to be in charge in the end is going to be a Luffy fan. It doesn't make any sense he would be executed. Die from something else, maybe, but not executed.
Yo dont forget that the marines are separated from the WG. And they are having good and bad guys and there have been many times the marines are fooled by the WG.
This is something I have believed for a long time. The first panel of the series is the Pirate King's death The last panel of the series is the Pirate King's death.

@@subhajitdey6618 I completely disagree. Luffy himself has said multiple times that he will be the one who decides where and when he dies, and Oda has made it clear that great pirate are defined by how they die, Luffy will be no different by dying in a way that no one can forget, plus there is the very likely idea that Luffy will fulfill the dreams of who ever he defeats, and Kaidos dream is too die a great death, I.e Luffy needs to die. Plus keep in mind this is Luffys decision to die no one he knows would stop him, and the world is most likely will never see him as a hero, the people present at the war might, but believers in absolute Justice, people in the blues across the world unaffected by the great cleansing, I doubt these people would claim a pirate as a hero, so Luffy being executed by this new order, inspiring the next generation to seek freedom and satisfying the pirate haters would lead to a better world of freedom.

For some reason I see things unfolding differently , with the marines and celestials involved in the last battle. I do not see his death at the hands of the marines or the world government.
I feel he will have to remove himself from many burdens before he can truly die free if that is what is to happen... I feel that blackbeard can enter here at this point.. though I would see shanks death before Luffy I think.
I think Luffy will die and also will never stop being a pirate, but he's not gonna be executed. Morj says is not like Marines will just stop prosecuting pirates after the final battle or whatever, but I think that's what he misses, that's actually what happens when you win, you get to decide what justice is, remember Doffy's great quote? I believe the marines will change their concept of what are they supposed to prosecute, and as the truth is gonna be revealed, rebelling against the former government won't be a crime since I'm comvinced the revolutionary army will be part of the new agreement and a faction of the government (sword? maybe) will also take part in that revolution, so I really think something else is gonna happen I'm not sure what, but Luffy is dying as a "hero".
@@matthew4780 that seems the most likely, i think. If Luffy does die at Loguetown in this scenario, he’ll go out on his own terms and shake the world with a similar decree to Roger’s
It doesn't necessarily have to be in character for Luffy, he took away years of his life, so I think that he would want to go out with a bang by handing himself over to Sabo. Sabo is still going to be a New Government official do he has to say yes and not pass up this offer. That's my point of view in this theory anyways

True, but he has said multiple times that hed be okay with dying prematurely if it meant he was dying while fighting to fullfill his dream, I'm sure if he died after becoming Pirate King he'd be more than satsified
Luffy being executed doesn't sound right. I think thats where he and Roger differ. I dont see Luffy EVER agreeing to turn himself in even if he was dying. I dont even see a valid reason for it, why would he turn hinself in? He would be the type of dude to die at his own terms.
I'll go with a Leone (Akame ga Kill) death. Knows that he's about to die and goes partying and drinking with all of his friends, then walks alone in the streets and passes away
I think by the end of one piece there be no more world government it will be under different leadership with no navy. Therefore Luffy cannot be executed by a navy doesn’t exist
This but unironically, shonen jump wouldnt let go of the one piece ip just like that, look at boruto. The world is varied enough that theres already sequel material

Tbh Luffy's death can have more impact if he ends up accomplishing what Roger couldn't. By finding all the Ancient Weapons, finding the One Piece (I think it's the destruction of the Red Line's), unifying the world, etc.
The only possibility for me for his "death" is like dark night. He fakes his death and lives freely. No crowns, no title, no special treatment, but living his life freely as a pirate. Such a good ending to be honest.

He has to be executed at Loguetown. If he dies from his reduced lifespan that would suck. He has to beat his illness and his dreams, just like Roger did.
You answer what would be my first question of who is the authority that will sentence Luffy to death (the new reformed WG because Luffy is still a pirate)... but you never try to rationalize what would be the message and significance behind Luffy's execution. I mean, Roger's death was meaningful because he still wanted something to be accomplished, which is the fulfillment of Joyboy's Will, so Roger "nudged" an age of piracy in order to facilitate the emergence of the next Pirate King. However, after Luffy accomplishes this dream by overthrowing the Tenryuubito, what's the purpose behind letting himself be executed? What's the message? If he needs to die, why not happy with his friends in a fun island?
Exactly. If Luffy is executed by the Marines/ new WG that means that the status quo is still corrupt and fine with killing people based on antiquated ideas of good and evil.

Then he had a dream made tons of friends saved people and towns from time to time was loyal never gave up and fought for the things he believed in. how he will die: SW crew arrives at raftel Zoro: wait a minute, I was here already several times when I got lost before I joined you Luffy. Luffy: Puts his Strawhat on Zoro´s head and jumps into the water and dies
I think multiple protagonists have already died in this series like joy boy and Roger, they probably wanted a revolution or change of order, and also this will of 'D' is related to a kind of prophecy which no one in the D clan have fulfilled yet. As Luffy is the protagonist he is bound to fulfill that prophecy, and if he's the one to change the order then why he'll get executed afterwards. Morj is completely wrong on this one.
Well i called this in the last comments section. I said that " so basically morj is saying that luffy will die at the end of one piece" and here we are
Why would luffy be executed though? Who will say he's a criminal. He's only a pirate because the world governement call pirate anyone who's not working under them. He didn't steal. Plunder or take hostages. Murder. or do any real crime really. He calls himself a pirate. But his definiton of pirate is just free sailor. Nothing more, nothing less. Wano, Elbaf(Cause Big mom). Alabasta. Dressrosa. Sekura Kingdom. Fishman Island Every small Island he helped. Every slaves. Every person oppressed by the world governement. He will be all their savior/someone they love/respect. The new marine will realize how he made the world better. Also, its about Luffy surpassing Roger. Not becoming him.
I think he was designated as "Pirate" because he declared himself to be one. It doesn't matter what good he does because he, as a pirate, will always be viewed as a threat. See: Shanks, one of the Yonko (who the Gorosei sees as being one to not mess with the balance).
No, he is a pirate. Just because he doesn't do generic pirate crimes doesn't make him not a pirate. He has the same philosophy any pirate has, he just doesn't use it to justify pirate crimes. He also just so happens to help out a lot of islands instead of hurt. I really don't see any reason he wouldn't fuck up an entire town of innocent people if they took or hurt one of his friends.
You shouldn‘t forget that Luffy indirectly freed lots of criminals in Impel Down through Buggy‘s rescue, or Crocodile who tried to use a whole country for his own selfish plans, etc. Luffy freed them in order to gain a positive advantage because they helped him progressing in impel down and coming faster to Ace‘s rescue. So Luffy acted selfish and freed dozens of the absolute worst criminals in order to just rescue his own brother who should be executed anyways. Of course we all know deeply Luffy is a genuinely good guy, but that’s not how life works, you can’t just claim that when you living a life dismissing all the laws. Luffy doesn‘t want to be seen as a hero (as he claimed in fishman island), he just wants no one to limit his action, but then he has to live with the consequences as well.

Who said that his third and four gears have an affect on his lifespan ?i understand why second gear would shorten his lifespan because his pumping so much blood at explosive speed to his heart that a normal human being would die .

There is just no purpose of Luffy turning himself in for execution. Roger was as you said too early to fulfill the plan about the one piece (maybe destroying the red line or sth, idk), so he used his last words to encourage a new generation who would be able to do so. If Roger died anyway there this was the best he could do, in Luffys case that would not make any sense. Yes he will die happily and Yes he wants to enjoy his journey, but that doesn't mean that he has to die after finding the one piece. If you want to see that point in the name of Loguetown, than why would you transfer it to the whole story? As you said it is introduced as the island of the beginning and the end, but that's just because it's the gate towards the grand line. That name was just given in the universe of one piece to that island because the grand line means either hope for reaching the one piece or death to most who try do go for it. And if you really wanna transfer it to the story, I just wanted to remind you that it's not Luffys beginning and Roger's end. It's both, the beginning and the end of Roger's life, because as far as we know he was born there as well. No connection to luffy.
Remember, Rayleigh said that they obtained the information about One Piece but didn't know what to do with that information. They didn't know that Tom had plans about Pluton, they didn't liberate countries or helped other countries become peaceful. Roger only looked for the Poneglyphs and translated what he knew and looked for Laugh Tale and that's about it. Roger didn't help Oden try to liberate his people from Orochi and Kaido..hell Whitebeard didn't do it and he was closer to Oden than Roger was. Luffy helped Alabasta, Skypedia, Dressrosa from the clutches of evil men. They flicked in the face of the World Government because they wanted to and save their friend. They took the battles to every person that came in their way and even the Warlords of the Sea and even the Four Emperors of the Ocean. Roger just searched and did his thing, he didn't do anything beyond that. So that is why Rayleigh was right that they came too EARLY and discovered Laugh Tale too early with the information we all know from Luffy's journey they will do what Roger couldn't do.

I read something awhile back saying Kaido is gonna kill Chopper and Sanji is going to be killed by the World Government during the final war. I don't know how much I believe it though
Usopp will die in Elbaf. He idolized the two giants they met before. Oda made a big deal of the giants being true warriors of the sea who die in battle. Usopp will be the Krillen of OP and most likely make Luffy just go rage mode and kill (presumably) Blackbeard.
To me, ending the story in loguetown doesn't necesarily mean the death of the main character, Luffy could return to Loguetown and casually find a successor of the strawhat (kind of similiar to the dragon ball ending with Uub).
It’s not even just that. All these grand characters die in very impactful ways on their own terms. Oda is pretty consistent in how he writes the end of these characters. Roger, Whitebeard, Oden, Dr Hililuk, etc. We’ve seen it so many times and Luffy is written in the same manner as these characters. And we’ve seen Luffy in the last few arcs reiterate the fact that he plans to die where he chooses. I doubt the series will just end with Luffy passing off his hat and fading into the background of the world.
@T Mitchand do you know luffy told Rayleigh he wants to be PK because thats the person with the most freedom on the seas so he won't just accept death because he's the PK otherwise he can't fufill his dream of being the man with the most freedom
@KarmaCraft It will make sense I think the marines will still chase the strawhats after they are disbanded and Luffy will come up with a deal, to give up his life to leave the entire crew live free
@T Mitch he is willing to die as in he would accept his death if it meant he ead doing it to chase his dream. This doesn't mean he is going to force himself to die after he accomplishes his goal, it only means that if he were to die at any point during his journey he would accept it, have no regrets.

I do believe that Luffy will choose to die at Loguetown but not as early as suggested in the video, I think that he will spend 10 to 20 years after he finds the one piece and then go out in style. There are simply too many things to do before he can leave his crew, he values his crew and their dreams above anything so I believe that he will spend as much time as needed to fulfil all their dreams and the promises he has made. The time he spends after finding the one piece will solidify him as the king of the pirates but he will also serve as the big threat that the marines need to get rid of so they need to get their asses in shape to become what Koby describes how a marine should be. I am not saying that Luffy must become the strongest man alive and rule the seas, just that he kind of need to be there for his crew and friends so that the world doesn't fall back into old habits. Now my thoughts on this will probably change as the story continues and depending on what the one piece actually is.
I feel like Chopper is going to save Luffy. Since Drum Island his drive has been to create a medicine that could save someone’s life. Luffy and Roger’s stories have many parallels and they’re both going to be regarded as Kings of the Pirate World, and as for Luffy (after freeing the world from the World Government), he’ll be regarded as JoyBoy incarnate, and Chopper’s overall character arc and DREAM (since all Straw Hats have their own personal goal they want to achieve) will conclude with him saving his Captain’s life. My vision at least
I think it’s funny that you made a video on “Forced Parallels” and then presented one of the most forced parallels for the end of the series. While I absolutely think that Luffy’s shortening lifespan is going to become relevant he could easily have YEARS left to adventure with his crew. That way all of his nakama can accomplish their goals with him as their captain. Also WHY would Luffy go back to Loguetown? That place has no real relevance to him.
True. I mean we can easily say that Luffy parallels Roger. Both respective Pirates are from the East Blue. Both are seeking or had sought out the greatest treasure in the World. Both wanted to be absolutely free. Both would do "insane" things to protect their crew. I could go on but that's just the surface. These two parallel each other strongly. Oda makes it as clear as day. When Rogers crew see Luffy they immediately bring Roger up and say he's saying something their Captain would say or they see Roger's will within Luffy
@@chinuaalibatya7345 I'm not saying that Roger and Luffy don't parallel each other, but there are so many nuances and differences in their stories. Again, I just think it's funny that Morj made an entire video being like Luffy doesn't need a "Whitebeard" or a "Garp" figure in his journey, but for some reason he has to die the exact same way and in the exact same location as Roger. Roger went back to Loguetown because he was BORN there, why would Luffy do the same? If his journey is all about being free I think it would be very disappointing for it to end with him just mimicking the actions of the previous Pirate King.
@@painnagato981 I'm in denial because I don't think Luffy is going to die exactly like Roger? The character definitely has a bunch of death flags, but I just think it's forced to say that he's going to choose to die in Roger's hometown that has no emotional relevance to him.

His ending at Loguetown could be getting married to Boa, now a hero of the world lol. Thanks for the extremely high quality content!
Death or space seems to be the best options in my opinion, as I've always felt Luffy was destined to die by the end of the story. Oda seems to liken the story of One Piece to a lot of Greek and Norse epics, and in those, the hero's of the stories almost always met death at the end. One thing about the shortening lifespan that could be rectified, is Big Mom. She is a whild card in all of this. Now we know that she can't take a person's soul, and place it into another person, but is the soul and the lifespan of a person one and the same? Is it possible that she could actually replace the lifespan that Luffy had already lost? If she can, then that is one way to "fix" Luffy loses so much lifespan. If Oda chooses to go the space route, then this is the best bet he has for Luffy's shortened lifespan.
Luffy: Then I'll be... Ace and Sabo: ????? Roger: Then I'll be... Whitebeard and Oden: ????? How can you say that when we don't understand their true goal in life?
What about Laboon? What about mapping the world? (Nami’s dream) What about the fact that him giving himself up just because he’s found the one piece is a spit in all their faces? What about him realizing after Ace died that he still has his friends and that’s how he moves on????
Since the introduction of Gear Second and it taking away from Luffy's lifespan, and then all the poison stuff in Impel Down I've felt Luffy might die at the end. Though, RogersBase mentioning his theory that Luffy would contract the same illness as Roger, but have Chopper cure it was super interesting to me and I really like that idea. That being said, I do think we end up back at Loguetown, but I'd love if Oda subverted expectations and didn't just have Luffy get executed there. Especially because Luffy is set to bring about the Dawn and change the world. It would be a totally different world than the one Roger was in when he died. I think there's so much Luffy can do there. Maybe inspiring a new generation in his own way, I really don't think there's a way One Piece could end that would disappoint me though. However the series wraps up post-Laugh Tale and discovering the One Piece, for me it's more about the satisfaction of seeing Oda getting to play out his vision of the end of this incredible journey.
Can’t see luffy being executed by a reformed navy and Gov of course he’d still have a bounty and shit but essentially toppling an evil regime is repentance for whatever damage he’s done or can do. Not saying he can’t die but not like thay
Well, the idea of Loguetown being a part of the prologue and epilogue of Luffy's story is great and could even be mind-blowingly good but... it's already the town of Roger's epilogue and Luffy's prologue. Oda has set up some big expectations and I am so curious to see how well he will stand up to these.
Exactly And also luffy was kinda hinted that he is not gonna die When he went to Loguetown he was about to be excuted by buggy when lighting suddenly appears and distroys the execution platform completely
Morj I wish you’d make a video of Luffys philosophy/ideologies for the future of the story. What I mean is let’s say the One Piece is something about the Will of D, Ancient Weapons, History of World, Plan to restructure the world etc Do you think Luffy cares about that stuff? He’s never really shown to. The One Piece to him is just a prize/trophy to crown him King of the Pirates. I’m just curious on how does Luffy react to the Void Century stuff. It’s one thing if it’s a friends history that bothers him, it’s another if it’s ancestral things towards ppl he has no true personal connection too. I think this is a very interesting topic
I think we'll get more introspection on Luffy during the next big Wano analysis. Like what his character arc has been leading up to at this point but that wont be till far down the line. That'll be interesting though. Hes far deeper than people give him credit for. I'm a big Luffy fan, so excuse my bias, theres a big reason hes the most popular character in the series and its be interesting to understand how Oda writes him to be this way. I mean is it just me or is the MC usually never the favorite character
I personally think the lifespan shaving is a setup to make law perform the endless life surgery, and then the straw hats go to space, as you said. then, a long time later, Brook and Luffy would come down to explore the 'new' world , with a new crew. This would repeat forever, making the straw hats something of a legend.

That’s why the owner never touched it after luffy picked it up and why it was hanged on the wall. Luffy will die at the end of the series but I think it would be an illness that causes him to die.
Perfectt
great arguments. i also don't see luffy being executed. dying yes, but not by execution. if it really has to end in loguetown with the execution of someone i'd rather say that it's imu or whoever is at the top of the world government being executed to showcase the true end of the old world government and pave the way for whatever kind of new government is gonna follow, if any.
@@iRemilia I like the idea of Imu being executed.

Now that i am rewatching it this this was first line morj said...
Why would the marines want to kill Luffy if the Celestial Dragons would be abolished, they killed Roger to make a point to Pirates as a show of force.
Same
For some reason I see things unfolding differently , with the marines and celestials involved in the last battle.

When will One Piece end you ask? When luffy has enough gears to become a race car
You read my mind
Wasn’t Loguetown were Roger was born? Isnt that why Roger was executed there?
Luffy doesn’t need to die to inspire the next generation. He will be the one who fulfills the wills of previous generations.

Who said that his third and four gears have an affect on his lifespan ?i understand why second gear would shorten his lifespan because his pumping so much blood at explosive speed to his heart that a normal human being would die .
I feel like the most compelling argument for Luffy's death is that, once Oda's done with the story, the long arm of Capitalism will come a knockin' and have to figure out a way to ruin the story retroactively like it did for Naruto and Dragon Ball, so we can't have a happily ever after

Just watch it being revealed that Logue town is actually just Log town but we mistaken it as Logue for Prologue and Epilogue for god knows how long....just like Raftel.
IMO he’ll die in the Goa Kingdom and Foosha Village. Roger was born and died in Loguetown, so it parallels with Luffy’s birth and death.
You could interpret the name as the town of “beginnings”(Luffys adventure) and “ends” ( the end of the first pirate king)
So that is why Rayleigh was right that they came too EARLY and discovered Laugh Tale too early with the information we all know from Luffy's journey they will do what Roger couldn't do.
exactly
Didnt roger surrender cuz he was sick?
@@notreallyknown3628 yes and he was going to die anyways that same year. Roger But I don't think Luffy will die not exactly sure if he won't die but I have a feeling he isn't because his story needs to be told. Then again I also have another theory on how he will die because the world government already hates him same with the Celestial dragons they will come after him and hunt him down and that will cause his death probably too many people coming after him and he dies because his crew is over run and can't get to him
@@Silverdevilruga There is one....
To end the pirate era, roger started it luffy will end it, there is no need for pirates anymore because the marine will be good and most (Bad) pirates will retire when luffy will get executed.
The pirate era was needed to fight the goverment, after they beat them pirates can only do bad stuff, they need to end it, luffy will end it.
Not only do I see Luffy dying, I also see Usopp dying as well. Of course I don't want this to happen, but these 2 dying just make perfect sense imo.
I read something awhile back saying Kaido is gonna kill Chopper and Sanji is going to be killed by the World Government during the final war. I don't know how much I believe it though
Yea I can see usopp fighting until the end to protect the crew but dies at the end
Usopp will die in Elbaf. He idolized the two giants they met before. Oda made a big deal of the giants being true warriors of the sea who die in battle. Usopp will be the Krillen of OP and most likely make Luffy just go rage mode and kill (presumably) Blackbeard.
@@ANinjaDucky doesnt help he has the same VA as Krillin 🙃
@@ANinjaDucky That’s a good theory
To me, ending the story in loguetown doesn't necesarily mean the death of the main character, Luffy could return to Loguetown and casually find a successor of the strawhat (kind of similiar to the dragon ball ending with Uub).
I was thinking something like the destruction of the loguetown gallows or something but luffy def doesn't have to die there
Oda wrote Luffy "dying" in Loguetown already for a reason, he is going to play with Luffy's death as a theme wether it actually happens or not
It’s not even just that.
He'll give the Hat to another young promising adventurer
So freaking cliché if it actually happens, not everything is mirrored in the series and it shouldn't be, hard disagree
@KarmaCraft it will happen after they find the one piece and final battle
@KarmaCraft also it will happen when the crew is disbanded, no one will know
@T Mitch he is willing to die as in he would accept his death if it meant he ead doing it to chase his dream. This doesn't mean he is going to force himself to die after he accomplishes his goal, it only means that if he were to die at any point during his journey he would accept it, have no regrets.
I think it's possible that he plans a duel with Koby, is defeated fair and square and finally gets turned in.
Bruh if luffy dies at the end. It will be the saddest moment in anime history.
Luffy is hands down the best protagonist in all of anime.
I've never met a single person who dislikes luffy.
I'd be depressed for years if this happens
My heart aches even though we are years away from the end, I would accept it if we have some sort of an epilogue where we can see what happens with the crew in the future and how their lives went by. I don't want Luffy to die when he's still young. 💔💔💔💔

Lol you didn't watch the video did you
I do believe that Luffy will choose to die at Loguetown but not as early as suggested in the video, I think that he will spend 10 to 20 years after he finds the one piece and then go out in style.
My first reaction before I clicked:
*HELLLLL NAWH*
Not all parallels are "forced".

He's been changing hearts and minds the whole way it seems like. He MAY be seen as a true hero by the end of this, bringing in the new dawn and changing the world for the better.
Or if Law uses the perpetual youth surgery on Luffy. I don't see why they would add it into the story if h wasn't going to use it on someone.
What about him realizing after Ace died that he still has his friends and that’s how he moves on????
did you even watch the cideo, by the that time all those dreams would of been completed
What if roger’s disease wasn’t an actual disease, but a new mindset he got after gaining one piece
Plus executing someone for something they could do is not justice
I hope not. I'm already tired of the pararells between luffy and roger. Makes luffy journey feel less personal

Exactly
And also luffy was kinda hinted that he is not gonna die
When he went to Loguetown he was about to be excuted by buggy when lighting suddenly appears and distroys the execution platform completely
The One Piece definitely isn't gonna just be treasure since Roger, Shanks and Luffy all consider a cheap straw hat as an incredibly valuable treasure.
If one piece tells Luffy what to do then definitely he will.
Nah I feel like law will die and use the "fountain of youth" on luffy. Kinda sad but I believe this is more realistic

Morj, You failed to see SBS where Oda makes it clear that if the life goes okay then Luffy would look like.
and? he's drawn what the fans asked him, what does it have to do with anything?
I personally think the lifespan shaving is a setup to make law perform the endless life surgery, and then the straw hats go to space, as you said. then, a long time later, Brook and Luffy would come down to explore the 'new' world , with a new crew. This would repeat forever, making the straw hats something of a legend.
This is what is so good about One Piece. All the ideas and theories about how it might end but no one knows the real ending
