Beverly Hillbillies star HARRIET MACGIBBON as lonely silent movie star on DRAGNET

Wonderful character actress Harriet MacGibbon (unforgettable as snooty Mrs. Drysdale on THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES) had one of her best roles elsewhere in this cameo on this DRAGNET episode as a lonely, forgotten silent movie star who is the victim of a swindler in "The Bank Examiner Swindle" first airing February 23, 1967. Also featuring popular character players Burt Mustin, Nydia Westman, and Don Red Barry. Given the Dragnet episodes were reportedly based on true stories, did a silent star actually experience this? I think Harriet seems very Mae Murray like here.
