I was just given a '79 Dodge Sportsman Mobile Traveler! I'm thrilled. Floor plan is a bit different and I'm doing some upgrades & remodels. Adding more storage to the large amount of wasted space.
I actually ended up buying it for myself 😂 Everything works and it drives great! I must have talked to 50 different customers about it and everyone was scared of the age.
@@sparkymcbunny That looked like a solid RV, as long as its not rotten between the walls everything should be an easy enough DIY fix. I've been looking for a camper like this to do a road trip with the family after seeing some of my favorite youtubers do the same.
Fair to good shape. If you're going to put new wallpaper or repaint I suggest white as to brighten up your interior. But it's your baby so do what you want. The previous owner(s) took good care from what I can tell...good find!
You going to put up another video of the motorhome. I love it and would love to her it run. I have a 1976 Ford casual. I took everything out completely gutted it. About two years ago. I love it !! I put a new floor in it and a bed. Slowly going to put it back together again. I have gone from Wisconsin to Florida two winters now.
Funny thing…I had so many customers call in and stop in to see her, everyone loved it but said it was too old. My manager was going to send it to auction. I couldn’t let her go! I bought it and got in 2 camping trips before the end of the season. I’m going to make another video when I pull her out for Spring time!
Not original interior the steering wheel is a 1979 and pratically every thing except the bathroom has been replaced, how you got a queen sise mattress my same 73 Dodge sportsman wont fit it. Can't be a queen .
After buying it myself, I have found upgrades from every decade since the 70’s. For me it just adds to the vibe! This things has helped a few families create some life long memories and she’s not done yet. I’m having a blast with it and will continue to make repairs so it stays in good shape when I decide to get a new project. It had an RV Queen mattress and I replaced it with a new RV Queen.
Did you say they took really good care of it!! Omg dented outside side walls, the cab is a mess with torn seats. Why would you not clean it up a little before videoing it!

That thing is in great shape. Always remember in the RV industry we say. Ride Big, Spend Big... when it comes to repairs etc.. I have 4 RV's
