osrs is in a great state currrently. rs3 is dogshit but osrs is fucking awesome i came back recently best decision

Dude the nightmareRH ironman series would be one of the biggest things to hit OSRS content in a minute... I think tons of people would enjoy an ironman playthrough.

I still play, began in 2004. I'm currently enjoying the quests, improving Fort Forinthy, my player-owned home, and Ports. I'll look into the farm here soon.

I didn't played it for years. Just watching an old familar TH-camr and then he just trys to get a level by pay to win....this game was so fun. I think you have to play it hardcore iron man to still have fun.

Too much of everything. too many mechanics, too many weapons. too many bosses. too many spins. etc etc... the list is terribly long.
That's how I feel looking at OSRS as an RS3 player. The game/meta has changed so much since its original state (2007) that I find it hard to get into.
@@ghgodsexposed I don't think it's changed as drastically like Rs3 did. Osrs seems "close" to how RS was in 2011 in a way from the direction they're going, but still distinctly different.
@@olfan92 i mean, thats not really a bad thing. For the reaper achivement you just have to do the regular bosses (without dungeoneering bosses, minigame bosses etc) that like 50 bosses at all. There are a lot of weapons and mechanics, but also there are things like keybinds and really good management options. You could just use one combat bar, or you add more, its really flexible and depends on your preferences. Every ability is like a new skill for you to learn, you can put time in it to get better, but you will be alright in most regular cases without investing the time in it.
@@e.selmanii7044 i play both games, in both games if i do a break for a couple of month, i really forget a lot of things. but in both cases it just takes a couple of days to get along with everything. So its really not a big deal.
actually havent played osrs in a few years, just started back on rs3 about 2 months ago. really enjoying it, not trying to over do anything.
to be fair, necromancy is one of my favorite skills.
Especially because you never really have to train necromancy classically until 99.
The skill is so task-oriented that you always have something in the foreground, like unlocking armor, abilities or completing quests for new bosses. if you focus on that, you get to 90+ very quickly and you never have the feeling that you have to grind the skill.

I play on occasion. Hammered out 120 herblore over the last dxp event. I have been throwing all my exp lamps at necro so I can get my max cape back. Been grumpy not being able to have my max cape...
i remember watching you at least 15+ years ago when i was in highschool. i dont play rs3 anymore but i play oldschool, and ive now gotten farther on osrs than i ever did on rs2/rs3.
i recently just finished necromancy and maxed on rs3. i really enjoy the game but seeing as it's the account i've been playing for 17 years, i feel more inclined to play it over OSRS, though i casually play old school every now and then

I play RS3 over OSRS, got 120 Necro within a month or two of the skills release, and recently started an Ironman.
I still have a ton of fun with the game more so than I do with OSRS. And after making an Ironman, I’ve been enjoying the climb back up to max cape again
I barely play anymore. Jagex just keeps missing things up, time after time. New stuff comes out, new stuff is cool and strong, jagex doesn't like it being fun, jagex nerfs the new stuff. It's always the same.

Yes i do i am trying for quest cape on rs3 since I have all 99s now and will tackle the 110s when they are released but i am working on 120 necromancy as i am currently 112 necromancy I'm doing what you do with the rs cards

The only thing keeping me from rs3 is he quests, they are miserable. Feels like im doing homework when I just want to play and enjoy the game.

I log in when its a double xp event, new quest and/or new boss. Ill usually do enough of the new content to afford another yearly membership from bossing and then rinse and repeat. Its enjoyable since ive had a stable clan for years and years now; however I definitely dont play daily.

I wouldnt say squeal of fortune and the key p2w thing helped kill the eco or the game of rs3 but it sure did help the process.
The moment I saw ‘abilities’ instead of the normal combat I was used to, I quit my maxed RS3 account. And nearly maxed on OSRS all over again. Just specifically the EOC ruined it for me.
RS3's skill comes into play at endgame bossing. It gets really challenging at the upper echelons of combat. That's why I love it so much; there's a huge skill gap!
been playing everyday for 3 years now. Gave the game a chance and now im never going back to osrs (im playing iron man so no p2w shit)
Also i find it very funny that nightmarerh exclusively does dks on rs3 but refuses to train by far the best combat style for it 💀💀💀

Rs3 for pvm i bounce back and forth between Osrs and rs3 but raids get old quick on osrs rs3 pvm is way more intense and interesting. Tho after not playing for years then coming back the amount of things to learn and figure out is overwhelming to get into end game pvm. Also skilling should be fun if you enjoy it but who wants to spend 100 plus hours grinding something they don’t enjoy for a cape.
Man, if they made Legacy Combat mode actually decent I would play this game so much more. I have no desire to learn EOC combat and have been playing since 2001.

I tried to get into osrs. Starting over with a new acc svcks. I'm not even maxed on my main in rs3 yet. It'll take ages to max in osrs. Also, I don't recall why I as a kid I enjoyed walking/running all over Runescape with the energy constantly going out. Lodestones in rs3 has made getting around runescape faster and better.

Great too hear you again Nightmare used to love you videos. I started playing back in 2007. I've played both RS3 and OSCR I had a 10 year break came back and maxed on RS3. The combat is far more enjoyable and bossing compared to OSRS which is outdated. Necromancy was probably the best update Jagex have ever done. For a dad with two kids RS3 is more playable imo
I left oldschool because it feels like a private server. I just returned to rs3 and joined a clan.

If your only playing a few hours a week the bxp keeps you Infront, you don't have to use it
Didnt like necromancy but i did get 99 during the grace period. But yeah like you said too, pretty much only play for the bossing

but you need to do a bunch of unlocks to make the skill usable so getting 99 right away isn't that big of an advantage since you gotta back track on progress anyways

I'm too out of the loop to even want to try RS3. Haven't played modern runescape on a regular basis since like 2010. I do play old school sometimes.
After remaxing my account after 99 necromancy i started focusing more on osrs and playing it with my woman, maybe we will both go back to rs3 and play between both since they keep adding more content on both.

I reckon you should transition into the podcast daddy with webcam set ups etc for runescape. Invite current youtubers and perhaps try and reach out to old names. Just an idea. You really suit the sit down and ramble content man.

Yeah man, I’m maxed cb and base 80s on osrs but haven’t really touched it in a few years. Loving RS3 right now. Hoping mod keeper getting tf out of here continues to mean an improvement to our updates though lol
