Yes it really works. Files must be mp3 format. Also if they are in separate folders still they play, in the sequence you copied them to pen drive. Thanks many times, there is solution to every problem on U TUBE.

Thank u man! I found an old pendrive and thought of putting old songs for maa papa for the car, as they can't use spotify. Faced the issue of unsupported file and thought the pendrive is faulty but ur video solved my problem in one go. Very glad.

for everyone still struggling,
you should run CMD as Admin,
then type *diskpart* press enter,
then *list disk*, press enter
then type *select disk (whichever number)*
then type *clean* press enter
then type *convert mbr* press enter
then close the CMD window
now
the right click on the windows icon the bottom left
go to
*disk management* and open it
find the unallocated USB drive (just look for the size of your USB)
right click on it and select simple volume
follow the prompt click next until the format page
and make sure you format it to FAT32 after that dont bother changing anything else on the prompt and just continue until it says finish,
copy your music
and it should work

I'm using the same usb's that I've been using for a while (several different brands & sizes) and I don't normally have any issues.... HOWEVER, I downloaded a few mp3's (REMIXES) with an online tube to mp3 type converter, they play perfectly on my pc (VLC,, media player and MPC), but my car stereo (& itunes) doesn't recognize those tracks and it skips to the next track (one of the tracks plays 80% through b4 skipping, Adele Easy On Me drum n bass remix).... I'm so confused by it and I can only assume its a newer more condensed format of mp3 that car stereo's like mine are too old to play.
If anyone has had this issue or knows of a way to resolve it, please comment a reply =)
I'm gonna try burn them onto a cd, if that works I will then rip the cd back onto my pc as my normal format of mp3...

Just format your pendrive in FAT32 format. Do not use Quick format, use full format and the pendrive will work fine. Right click the pendrive icon and format it. There is no need to use CMD.
