    Awesome video. The hands-on look at your breadboard was helpful. I’m happy with the sensitivity of the arcade sensors in my stages, but I have a few crappy hard pads for home console play that could probably be modded with FSRs to play really well

      DDRGame and LTek’s can be modded with FSRs quit easily. Had a friend passing 17s on his FSR DDRGame.

    What if you want to use FSR's on a stock cab?

    • @greentea_vsrg
      @greentea_vsrg  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can use FSR’s on a cab as long as you’re running Stepmania, which can accept keyboard inputs.
      I remember somebody was working on a project to be able to connect FSR’s to the stock JAMMA harness but it’s far from done iirc.

    I'm trying to mod my pad but I'm in the prototyping phase experimenting with making multiple FSRs out of one strip like in the video, but its not working for me (registering near-max force from just existing or not registering any force at all) unless I put the equivalent of a clothespin firmly holding the jumper cables together (along with the tape) at the correct position (otherwise the FSR will detect values over 900 out of 1000).
    The FSR I have looks different and I did exactly as the video showed but it wasn't as easy as I thought. Spent an hour experimenting, rather worth it considering I don't work with electronics this way at all. But I have to wonder if other people have more information as to why the glitches mentioned in the first parenthesis happen to begin with.

  • @wallmachine8780
    @wallmachine8780 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    new to this, but i assume the FSR is only closest to you because of the style you play? can there be FSR on all for sides? what happens if you press in the middle, does it still register?

    If I were to mod my home hard pad to fsr, and use a control box that goes to my ps2 would I be able to play my ps2 games? Or do fsrs only work with stepmania?

    • @greentea_vsrg
      @greentea_vsrg  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      FSRs need to be controlled by a programmable microcontroller like an Arduino, it won’t work with your control box.
