    Thanks for sharing how you rooted your zz leaves in water. I tried to root them directly in soil without success. I didn’t know they could form tubers in the water! Your dog is gorgeous.😁

    thanks for the video...my leaves also got yellowing like you showed at the beginning of the video. Its in its 6 inch grower pot. I got it last summer. Do you think i should repot? is that why leaves are yellowing?

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You are most welcome and thank you for watching :-) 6 inch grower pot is sufficient for ZZ plant unless they are really huge. Leaves turn yellow because of few issues - 1. Direct sunlight 2. Lack of fertilizer 3. Soil is too compact and wet. If the soil is too wet, the tubers start to rot and when that happens, initially the leaves turn yellow. If you like, you can take a look at the soil. You would need to take out the plant from the pot and see if everything is fine. If you are unable to find any rotten roots, it's all OK. It just could be sunlight issue or lack of fertilizer. Hope that helps and wish you all the best!
      In my case, I have to agree that it was my mistake. I wasn't feeding it on regular basis. Plus, pot was quite small too :-(

    Congratulations I wish i can get some how to get n what's about price

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you So much :-) You should get them easily in any nurseries as they are quite popular plants. Price depends on plants..for smaller plants, starting is Rs. 150. Taller & bushier plants are very costly as they are slow grower. Wish you all the best!

    Sir....I have planted few zz plant cuttings directly in soil in a pot of plastic oil can....do i have to water them daily or not till they root!!??

    • @tanushreesarkar3828
      @tanushreesarkar3828 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think you should water daily.. zz plant needs least water of all all the other plants.. still check some more videos if you find exact timeline when you should water 🙂

    • @GardeningUpbeat

      Thank you. I asked that because I have a zz plant and it fell and broke a branch. I Put it in a glass with water to propagate. It's been like 2 months already and no roots yet. But the the leaves are still good.

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are welcome! Depending on weather, cuttings take time. Right now, in my place is quite hot and humid. So, roots much faster. As the leaves are still good, your cutting should roots well in coming days. Wish you all the best!
