Great video! I’m a female and just did this myself. The only thing I struggled with was squeegeeing the plug to release it and twisting the bulb to get it out. My hubby helped with that, but I disassembled and reassembled it on my own. Seriously anyone can do this! They just said it’s 135$ an hour to do it at the shop. Save yourself some $$

Additionally I didn’t undo the 6 bolts at the bottom, just the 6 on the top, one on each side and then the 4 for each headlight unit. That way you don’t need to raise the car.

Danny Firth when you only take off the top ones , do you still have room to remove the headlight assembly with no problem?
@@yodazvlogz4556 Yes, I didnt have to disconnect the assembly either. I just lifted it up so I could access the dust cover to replace the bulb
Really no need to move the bumper, and remove the light assembly to replace the bulbs. But nice video if you need to replace the light assembly.

Great walkthrough; thank you for posting! Really appreciate the full and 'DIY-focused' methods. I was able to replace my headlight successfully following your steps. Like a previous poster mentioned, I was able to do so without having to undo the 6 bolts at the bottom of the bumper. I just removed the 6 on the top of the bumper, one on each side underneath the bumper, to be able to slide the bumper off slightly; and then the 4 bolts for each headlight unit.

@@jwsolarusa Yea, I watched many videos, and read multiple manuals on the process, but your thorough video walk-through was the best by far. For what it's worth, I don't have a lift, and have just a general tool kit, so you guys taking the time to show how it's done for a layman without a lift and a garage, and without any skipping steps off camera was very helpful and very much appreciated.

@@jwsolarusa Thanks! my hands were small enough to replace the bulbs without having to use any tools. this video is about replacing the pump which I probably will have to at some point, I meant to ask for a video of the main fluid container being replaced. the actual container where you latch the pump onto? thank you again
@@jwsolarusa When I first checked my bulbs and realized one was out, I forgot to put the cap (the one with the o-ring) that you use to seal cover/protect the bulb after you replace it in the video, do you happen to know the part number and/or where to get the correct replacement for it? I believe it's called "Dust Cap"?

Really? all that? All u have to do is twist the cap off and change the bulb. It’s even in the owners manual how to change it. It takes about 3 minutes. Great video though

No you're right, you don't have to do all of this. I just replaced my low beams in my veloster and came across this video looking for a basic guide. There's barely any room to do it, but if you can get your hands in or can put enough pressure on the bulb to push it in with pliers then you don't have to do this super roundabout way.
But yeah it does work like that for this particular vehicle.
On my Veloster 140hp i tried it like you talk about, but impossible for me ! 😭 (i'm a man and my hands are not very big)....So i have to try like this vidéo 😩

Hi there, I’m trying to locate the headlight fuse for my 2012 Veloster! Do you know which fuse is it? I switch and replace new bulk already! However the driver side headlight is still not working. Any information will be helping! Thank you.
You need a new headlight.

You might as well take some time off from work to remove a bumper to change a head light because that clip on the bumper and those screws never go back right. And you have to put them on a ramp to get underneath. Stupid fuc"ed up design made to where you hsve to take it in and get reamed by the dealership. Ridiculous.
