Actually... being single sucks. Once you find someone you can really give yourself to, there is nothing beating being part of a real relationship. And the part about dating apps is that there are options out there, and the more options you have, the more picky you become. Even slightest wrong vibe from one instance can throw you off and automatically disregard someone. But in actuality, when you can embrace someone fully without superficial judgement and take their flaws and see it more as character, you can really appreciate the full bodiment of a real tangile ongoing true relationship. Hence, my advice to excessive daters, don't be picky and try to look beyond the surface. Also, don't linger too long on those sites because it creates very bad habits. And trust me when I say this, when you think you are happy single, you will be SO MUCH MORE happier in a really good relationship. It just does not compare.

there is nothing wrong with dating when you are single and I think that it would be easier to meet someone online in Korea instead of in person, since a lot of guys there are too nervous to just talk to you

Hey I love how honest and heartfelt you are! I think keeping an open mind could also pertain to- being open to people's open relationships? Those may be few and far between depending on the area, like Korea. But their are amazing people from all walks of life, like you were saying. If the person is honest about it, which they could be, that would be an entirely different situation than being involved with a "cheating" man or woman. Thank you so much again! I've been on tinder previously and somehow the conversations always lead to nowhere and bore me out. And I've always been uncomfortable about meeting people online so I guess that's partly why. But I do think that you have a point and I guess I might try tinder again and meet people through it with an open mind! Great video! :)
+Gladys Lim I have had a lot of dead ended conversations with people too. I think it's partly because people just don't know how to connect anymore now a days. But on a rare occasion, you may have fun or interesting conversations with a few people. It's the same in person and online...there's boring people everywhere right? It happens to all of us! It annoys me too.

+Rubi Animaz it is not easy to find people, she looks cute, but for her, she might find me ugly or some kind of imperfection. You are also cute and pretty, but you might find, me, that I am not your type or if you like me, maybe you don't like the things I like or the way I think, it is very hard, there is always some kind of excuse or something that we don't like from somebody that will block us from having a relationship. This is a big problem all over the world. Because when your single your more vulnerable, so your expectations are higher. The problem is that there is nobody perfect or almost perfect. if we, like something in somebody, there is also something bad that we have to accept in return like it or not, but there is nothing totally good in our check list. As well as us, we have good things, but we have bad things too. So there is no perfect partner. The only solution is that we have to accept any person the way they are, and the person has to accept us the way we are as well. good with bad. if not the dating will go forever, because you will never find somebody totally perfect and all good and no bad qualities.

Kimmy, you are so honest, thank you! I have been living in the area for work for the past three months with no social life, and feeling very lonely and isolated to the point of breakdown. This sounds like a great solution to meeting new people, however, I have been a rather shy and squeamish girl all my life. Is there an expectation of having sex each time you go on a date on Tinder? In general, what would you say the expectations are for going to these dates? Thank you!!
+olashka25 You will encounter some people who only want to hook up, but there are some good apples among the bad ones. Some people are just like us, looking to make friends and meet people in a foreign land. It's pretty easy to weed out the ones that just want sex almost immediately. I've gone on some bad dates and definitely talked to some douche bags, but there have been a few that have helped me keep my faith in mankind. You just have to take the leap, hope for the best and be ready for the worse (because it can happen). Good luck!

I met my now hubby on match.com. We dated for a few years...broke up and separated for a a couple of years and then started dating again. I met him 9 years ago online and we have now been married for almost two years. Online dating is not for everyone but there are some good ones out there you just have to weed out the bad ones. Dating is fun and eventually you will find someone you thoughroughly enjoy being with.

Hi Kimmy, I met my wife on a dating website. We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on May 20, 2016.
I'm kind of shy, and I would had panic attacks when going on dates. Thanks to Tinder, it's easy now. Like you, I'm not necessary proud of it, but hey, I'm comfortable with myself. I dnt hide my personality or my weirdness, I enjoy myself and if it works, great! If not, that's ok. Also, the ones that are just passing by, tend to be my favorite too, but we end up being just friends. Still, I'll take it.
I also use it more for the socializing. Moving to the states from my home country and having so much cultural shocks sucked!!! Specially when not having friends near by. Anyways, you got yourself a new subscriber.

Kimmy, you didn't address something that I was curious about. I've read that Korea is more sexually conservative than the U.S., so I was wondering if the native Korean guys that you've met through Tinder were as wolf-like as most of the U.S. guys on Tinder. For instance, every time I've been on Tinder (here in the U.S.), I've ended up deleted my account after a few days because I get tired of the guys who move immediately to "Hey, let's f*$%." Are native Korean guys (I'm not asking about the American teachers, military guys, or travelers you matched with) on Tinder like that, too?
+Elle Zee Hey, I wish I could tell you but the reason I didn't speak on this is because I only dated foreigners but it is true that Koreans are generally more sexually conservative. However, I have no personal experience on this. But no matter where you go, there will always be those types that just want to fuck anything that moves lol. Thanks for watching and commenting :)

Thanks for sharing your own experiences and private dates with us i literally enjoyed listening to you! But tinder is not always like that for example in Turkey if you try tinder (which i did) you may end up seeming like a nymphomaniac i just dont know 😭😭 every men on here just want to enjoy their bodies rather than companies.. Just a note for those who have a intention for coming Turkey..
Hey there! you mention that you wouldn’t want to tell your kids that you met your hubs on Tinder and I’m surprised you think that way. I met my bf on Tinder last summer and now we are in a very committed relationship. In a way I feel like Tinder is much easier and less risky than a blind date since you get to talk to that person before you are thrown into a face to face date. I recently moved to Seoul from NYC and have heard a lot of cases where my friends found pretty decent people on Tinder or OK Cupid. I was wondering how big Tinder is in Korea and glad I came across your video. By the way you are stunning! Surprised you’ve been single for so long.
+Daton Kim I only think that way, because in an ideal world, I would want to meet that special someone organically. But I have nothing personally against it and I'm happy to hear that meaningful relationships have sprouted from it! Tinder does make it easier to meet people, especially here in Korea (I live in the countryside). However, TIndering abroad is so much different than back home in the states. There are some good people who just want to meet people and connect. A lot of my girlfriends are using it, but there are also still many skeptics that shy away from it just because of the negative stigma that comes with online dating. Thank you for your sweet comments! My prince charming must be stuck in a ditch somewhere!

With Tinder plus I got more than 800 matches but am only talking to 2 decent ppl out of ALL those guys. Tinder isnt something if you are looking for someone serious as it is sooo difficult to find decent guys.

piece of dating advice. at the end you said' "-follow my heart" . old advice dont take your love to town. older you get the more you realize its not smart. its just hard cause your brother is married. maintain balance and the dude you hook with has the brain ie mind figured out also. trust me. the chemical in the mind is referred go as dophomine that gives the sensation of being in love. be stronger than that and the relationship will kick ass.
This is so funny! I just downloaded the app a week ago for the first time because I'm single again after 4 years. At first it felt odd and the small talk can get pretty dry. But I've been optimistic and have matched with a guy I can stimulating convos with. Meeting him for the first time this weekend, AH! My first Tinder date. Such a bummer that you are not in Korea anymore. I have met two guys on Tinder both Americans. The second guy I met said so many times how attracted he was to me during the date and after the date by texting but only texted me the next day just to say hi nothing else. lol I am so new to this app but it was something different. You shouldn't let fear of looking stupid stop you. I think both native English speakers and Koreans can learn a lot from each other and I have met a lot of Koreans who have a great sense of humor and make plenty of funny jokes. I met my longterm boyfriend through Tinder. I don't really see an issue with it.
I have a few Japanese friends who are scared to say they met their SO on Tinder.
I don't see it as anything different than seeing someone you like in a bar and approaching them. It just streamlines the process :P

Dating in Korea is quite different from the States.
