    Tangara Technology Upgrade
    This Vlog shows Tangara T106 on it's journey from Adamstown to UGL Broadmeadow.
    T106 ran under it's own power from Sydney to Broadmeadow Yard.
    Once T106 got to Broadmeadow Yard it was loco hauled by 3801 Ltd's 4833 to the door step of UGL Broadmeadow.

    I did had a feeling that they might add the technology stuff in the Tangaras, at least they're still going to run in the future with new looks, been seeing those trains for years and the T sets are still my favourite Sydney passenger train. :)

      Sydney Trains Vlogs Same here. I was born only four years after T sets went into service, and also a year before the G sets came out. Hard to believe I still remember the time before they had all those yellow highlights on them. Fingers crossed that this year might finally see T106 come back from the TTU upgrades.

    Hopefully the updates also involve new gangways like the ones on the M,H and A sets to replace the existing noisy Tangara gangways. I was on a Tangara today actually on the T4 eastern suberbs line and at times I can hear loud banging and squeaky noises in the gangways and it's been the case with a lot of Tangara sets I court so hopefully these upgrades include the newer quieter M,H and A set style gangways across the Tangara fleet as well.

    That little shunting vehicle really was 'Hercules', such a tiny engine pulling a heavy train like that. How much would one of these 4 car Tangara setups weigh Phil?

    • @sydneytrainsvlogs

      Haha indeed.
      I think a Tangara set weights 410 Tonnes.

    Why are those buttons on both the left and right side of all the doors?

    • @nicholetheotter1957
      @nicholetheotter1957 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      LogamRameka Vlogs That was a trait of G set Tangaras. They were retooled into regular T sets after the Oscar H sets were rolled out. The green buttons no longer function but were left intact, along with the luggage racks and reversible seating. Another difference was that on the front of the former G sets, the bottom has an inwards dip, which T sets didn’t have.

      ForeverGaming: Reviews, Tutorials, Gaming and More! It’s been like, 3 years now. I have seen T106 and T72 sitting over in the yard at UGL Unipart in Auburn, and if you were riding a train you should be able to see T106 and T72 there when you go past the site. They have “train under test” signs, so they must have had their new features done and they just have to undergo tests before going back into service. The project has suffered a fair amount of setbacks, which explains it.

      Because the railways (when government), all did a brilliant job of shedding staff.
      & at the same time Australia suffered the effects of the Lima Agreement. What the banks that engineered this, poured billions of $ credit, into developing South East Asian manufacturing (note, credit is actually made out of nothing by banks, see Modern Money Mechanics.

    • @nicholetheotter1957
      @nicholetheotter1957 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lucas Cole I think you’re in the minority, since I think a lot people actually love the new lightweight plug “M set styled” doors. They were installed on the entire Tangara fleet because the original doors had a design flaw with the steel panels, which were prone to being kicked by vandals.
