      This one was a USA standard Telecaster originally. For change the bridge, I've moved the string holes 20mm downside. --> Only old guitars have the right hole distance. Both pickups are a handmade big overwound set , goes upt to 19kOhms! It sounds fantastic, but not muddy. I'll make more of this great stuff in the future. Not only for show or hanging on the wall, they are should be playing perfect, .....like Ricks guitar. I also have a orig. 66 Tellie with nearly the same Serial# like Ricks. It's a great indicator to build a guitar like this one. A lot of rebuilded oder new builded gutiars are not in tune, have no sensible intonation, have a death sound and the neck feels bad. This is not my way. Have a great day!

    How do you get the intonation right with that bridge.

    • @stationquo777
      @stationquo777 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Robert, first of all you need perfect parts which have the exactly dimensions from a 60ties Telecaster. Take the right measurements scale saddle to bridge in addiction of the string thickness. So you will get the right way to fix the bridge to the body. I had big luck with all guitars i made. They all have a perfect intonation without moving the bridge to other positions. Cheers Fredy

    That's why I never like Status Quo that much. The two guitarists always played with barret fingering.
    Sometimes slower sometimes faster...but everything sounded the same. It's been 30-40 years! I've been playing electric guitar for over 40 years.. And that would really bore me :-(

    • @Freko66
      @Freko66  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That may be your opinion. But be honest, every band that has become famous has its style and has to keep it to stay successful.
