So this is like "welcome to the world of the plastic beach (bass)" + "rhinestone eyes (vocals)" + "the snake in dallas (brass)" + "strobelite (keyboard)"
“This one was recorded in my little submarine. I nicked a bit of my own ‘Electric Shock’ track, and stuck it in here, with a little delay over the top. Came out quite well, don’t you think?”
@@alejandrocastillo9209 yep! Band member Murdoc Niccals stated the following about "Rhinestone Eyes" in a track-by-track commentary: "This one was recorded in my little submarine. Does anyone else recognize the "Yeah! Electric Shock!" part? Because its the one from Rhinestone Eyes except in Rhinestone Eyes they loop the "tric" part of "Electric", which covers up the "Shock" part.
This sounds great! I'd love for Damon to finish this for the new Gorillaz album although I don't think its likely because each Gorillaz album Damon likes to have a different feel and concept, it sounds like something straight out of Discovery by Daft Punk, for those of you who like this kind of vibe.
+Vulture Socks I agree. I've seriously been unable to get this song out of my head since I first found it last summer. It is seriously one of my favourite Gorillaz tracks, and if it was finished it could become _the_ favourite track. One can only hope.
Glad they used lots of samples from this demo in other songs in plastic beach and other albums. Even though it wasnt used in plastic beach, it was useful in other songs.
"Electric Shock is dope."
-Mos Def
Is "Electric Shock is drug"
@@Loco2005 no.
@@Loco2005 coke?

Stylo drums?
It's like hearing Damon fuck around in the studio while he created Rhinestone eyes

It did murdoc, it did.
It is a shame they left this off the album.
Nightmare Studios It became Strobelite
On the new album, it sort of turned into Strobelight. In rhythm/bass, anyways. Kind of similar.
i am a cactus no where near what strobelite sounds like
Senor Enchilada at 0:59 it kind of starts to sounds like the start of the "when your private life" part to me :)
this makes me think of some kind of videogame lobby
Liam Ware reminds me of crashing tides on a sunny day on the sea
@@jalvorson
No, lobby
Feels like I’m playing vice city in my cheetah
Resembles "Strobelite" from Humanz.
Emeral Niccals Glad I wasn’t the only one who heard it
I HEARD THAT TOO
It definitely makes sense since that’s what I believe was the first song recorded for Humanz (as shown in RFI)
@Gidget Niccals
I kind of hear it now too, now that you mention it.
Also hey, a Shantae pfp
That "Electric shock lady" its the same sample in Rhinetone eyes?
Actually Cyborg Noodle is a Bae, it's not Cyborg hasn't been programmed to speak.
If it's anyone it might be Noodle.
Noodle wasn't present during the recording of PB
HeroSoulEater at the end she was
Puff Puff ooooooooooooh
She was present at least in broken

I come from the future, he DID :o
This had so much potential
well yeah this helped them make rhinestone eyes
You could say that about the whole Plastic Beach project
yeah…🙁
I started calling disappointing albums the "plastic beach effect" when this came out. @@plaguedoctorjamespainshe6009

Vulture Socks It is in Phase 4
Strobelite
i am a cactus nope totally different sound
Not entirely. It kinda is Strobelite actually.
is an fusion of rihenstone eyes and strobelite :0
actually its a demo for rhinestone eyes and the beat for strobelite used this.
no, it really _isn't_ the demo for rhinestone eyes at all, actually
literally the only thing they share is that one sample
fauster AND the drumbeat.
Glad they used lots of samples from this demo in other songs in plastic beach and other albums. Even though it wasnt used in plastic beach, it was useful in other songs.
Electric Shock is Pretty Chill and Jazzy
god I want the full finished version of this song so bad
I REALLY like this.
I prefer the demo.
this is the original version of rhinestone eyes, the "that's electric" is reused for the chorus.
Phil Haines no. Just a reused sample, not the og version.
Kermit the Frog It also reuses the drumbeat, so it’s almost a demo.
This is the best version of electric shock
I am getting serious stroblite vibes
Sounds like welcome to the world of the plastic beach and rhinestone eyes
I want this on ITunes so bad
i would be nice for it to be a japanese exclusive track
I like this version better than the other one floating around the internet
Hypnotic brass essemble was the best collaborator
its just not the same without the horn section you hear in the documentary
THATS ELECTRIC SHOCK 😲
This is fuckin lit
they should have this one in a future demo project
Soft Decay, Junio - Julio 2022
"like electric shock"
Imalways hear it as electric shark
holyshit i cant believe strobelite was based on this
+algreenhell This song is called Electric Shick, because it's the HBE song.
Electric Shock it's the Sinfonia's song

Is the beginning like On Your Own?
Okay, so who is the singing voice for Cyborg? This needs to be answered!
2018 any one where the collabed with electric shock?
Why wasn't this released on the album
The project was too ambitious. Plastic Beach was supposed to have a lot more than 17 songs. This is a snippet from one of the songs that was cut.
It's such a pity that there was never a P-sides album.
I heard about a ''Sea Sides'' album but idk if thats legit or not
Sea Sides is an unofficial b-side album, but everything on there is legit
Damon planned a follow up to Plastic Beach called Sea Sides. However it was scrapped so he made an album on his iPad instead.
strobelite is a sample of this
my dog when i accidently step on them
Huh, the vocals on this song sound exactly like daft punk. Even the instrumentals do for the first 40 seconds.
release sea-sides
