- This is the fourth episode of my farming melon series, I only now am starting to feel like we're coming out of the beginning stages of the game. There's still so many melons to harvest and projects to build.

Fun fact nr1: If you plant soulsand then pour the water from the top to bottom and place kelp on soulsand and bonemeal the kelp up to the top then you get fully functioning water elevator(might be less fancy than stairs but is faster)
Fun fact nr.2: If you need feathers or eggs or chicken meat you can make infinite chicken farm that spawns chickens from eggs automatically(elevator from fun fact nr.1 is needed in the build as item elevator)

27:20 Other way around, actually. For loot, the game calculates it based on what's in your main hand. You can use the bow in your off-hand, though, which would be functionally identical to your setup. You had the right idea.
im sorry but how can anyone not laugh at this guys video. every time i see another video uploaded by juice i am always exited to see what he has in store. i also have now got my own melon world that i play on while watching him, i have got 1 1/2 chest full after only 40 days

Love this series, my only flaw is being worried about the whole iron armour and stone sword deal, if you max enchanted full netherite replacements, you could easily deal with anything in the way of melon farming and also look like a richer melon farmer! 💙

Yesterday, I was finishing a really tedious project for school, and I was tired, so I took 2-4 minute breaks, catching up on the series. So thanks for helping me keep my sanity intact. Can't wait for 500 days.

this is just the best minecraft series. i made a whole gimmicky melon farmer character with my friends right before finding the first video & it just keeps on going (i lived underground & farmed melons all day so i was the "melon mole")

Did you know you get xp when trading? When you sell your melons you can have your mending tools in your hand and they will repair, saving you time at the mob spawner :)
Perhaps you can use a texture pack to convert the warped stairs more similar to melons. Also, this series is amazing
this is my second watchthrough and im just as entertained as the first time, maybe even moreso
I was about to say. that you can make ice road one block wide and with a gap between each ice block. you can aim your boat perfectly by placing it while sitting in a perfectly angled boat, so you will never slide off. Then I saw him placing melons as guard rails, this ice road is now perfect

5:23 K, I'll be a nerd and explain this. See, to us it seems like our minecraft character is traveling really fast, at a top speed of 40 m/s, but that isn't actually the case. They're traveling at a speed of 40 meters per IRL second, but a real life second isn't equivalent to a Minecraft second. If we use the fact that 20 IRL minutes = 1 Minecraft day, we know that 20 IRL minutes is 24 Minecraft hours, or 1440 minecraft minutes. So 20 IRL minutes = 1440 Minecraft minutes, meaning 1 IRL minute = 72 Minecraft minutes, so Minecraft is moving at 72x speed. So now we know that our character is traveling at 40 m/72 minecraft seconds, or 5/9 m/s in the minecraft world, which is actually REALLY slow.
God I need to get a life.

26:29 I think the reason other people are able to mine a lot faster than you is because of the way you mine. You tend to only do 1 layer of blocks at a time which leads to you having a lot of time where youre not actually mining anything and are just walking in order to get closer to blocks. By spinning your crosshair around like a madman its a lot faster and more efficient.

I use the same melon/pumpkin farm in every map because it's compact and produces way more than I ever need. It's ilmango's 9x9 design where it pushes the melons and pumpkins down through the dirt into hoppers or minecarts underneath. It can easily be tiled too. If you test the speed of your farm, it might be interesting to benchmark it against that somewhat standardized design
