IMHO appears the two antler sets with skulls were not interlocked as happens when such wild animals are found dead together . Each set is a bit uncommon being adorned with long pointy times rather than palmated shorter ones. So they fought until very tired and each suffered mortally bad punctures. They each went to their 'corner of the ring' and died of internal blood loss/damage.
I thought the same thing, and it reminded me of some mornings I have seen growing up in Colorado and hunting the Rockies. But yeah, kudos for such gorgeous footage!
Oh my goodness, I’m so envious of your way of life 🥰 so beautiful, thank you for sharing. Have a beautiful Christmas to the whole family With love from Nottinghamshire, England 🇬🇧
I haven't been able to watch as many videos the past year. Finally catching up and I just want to say how much I've missed watching these. Absolutely beautiful video and a it gave inspiration for myself reminding me what I'm working towards
Ok! I was worried after the last video that you had changed your intro. The "NO WAAAY" was SKIPPED and I didn't get to see Ruth's beautiful face and smile after the gold pan. I am feeling much better now that it is all back! I LOVE the intro to your videos so MUCH! I never skip it...I think it is the only intro on TH-cam that I love seeing everytime, it just fills me with excitement EVERYTIME! I don't understand it...but it's amazing.
@@Gridlessness Whaaat you message me! For some reason that blows my mind a bit and makes me feel a little special. Yes, but not right now. I was going to make a TH-cam channel on the topic but then I married a wonderful, handsome, Alaskan man and made cute babies. Our youngest is 5 months old and we are still working towards getting property I can have goats on. If your girls wanted to train their goats to pack or drive we could arrange a video call and I can teach them. And with Hot Dave being the wood working master that he is, he could easily make goat pack saddles. Goats that are bottle fed or well handled can be really easy to train. Some people use packgoats to haul meat out from hunting in remote locations that has terrain not friendly for horses. Like when you were hunting mountain goats. ... Sorry...that was maybe more information than you wanted.
I hope it is closed caption, I love watch all your shows! I m deaf so that's why I needed closed caption to enjoy your shows 🥰🥰🥰🤟 bless your family merry Christmas and happy new years
What a beautiful area to raise your family Jeff. Your daughters are very beautiful and skilled young Ladies like their Mama. What a Blessed life you have. Well done Jeff and Ruth!
After the fires here in Southern BC. I chose not to hunt this year, for the first time in 45 years. It has been nice living vicariously through your hunts. It has been years since I got a moose so this would have been a typical hunt for me. Thanks for sharing.
So glad to see another video from my favorite Canadian family! I always enjoy your videos and this one did not disappoint. Sorry you weren't able to find a live moose, cause I know the meat is needed, but I loved the excitement on the girls' faces when you found the 2 moose skulls! When my 2 girls still had time to hunt with me, we weren't always able to shoot something, but we always still had fun together. And that's one thing I enjoy with your family, the way you all have fun with whatever you're doing. God bless you all, Merry Christmas, and keep the vids coming when you have time!
I am hooked on your family’s videos, they’re all Awsome and I can’t stop looking for more!!! Let me know if you ever need an extra camp hand or pack mule😂😂🤣
Can’t wait to watch it. I hope your family is doing well and staying busy this winter season. Jeff has to get faster at editing and releasing videos. Can’t wait to see them
I’m thinking that the calf might have been a still born, or possibly just a week young animal that got in that marsh and succumbed to the elements. It looked as if only smaller scavengers ate off it, larger predators would have scattered the bones far and wide . Your drone footage is crazy impressive, and it answers your question as to where the bulls were/are, seems like they were having a bit of a STAG party, no pun intended, or maybe they were having a little chat, a BULL session as it were, and yes that pun was intended,! Your girls are incredibly impressive, and they make me proud to be a Canadian. Jeff, you and Rose are awesome parents, and from the bottom of my heart , from my family, to yours,I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas, and Happiest New Year .
Love your guys videos. The coolest thing is making it yourselves. The girls are most likely experts at editing and all the tech stuff that goes into these. An entire schooling process that a kid would never experience in a public school. Your kids are learning hands on everyday being prepared for their futures, whereas the education system creates 20 year olds with zero hands on experience at anything. You are all excellent role models for the viewers. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the ride! There will be a moose in your future Jeff! Such amazing young women! “Mazel Tov” to you and Rose! Well mainly Rose! Lol! Thanks again. Beautiful scenery!
Awesome video as always she said she didn’t get your moose this year we had the same problem down here in the states doe’s galore but no bucks to be found.
14:53 that scene right there of dead animals laying and rotting in the that creek is one of the reasons why you should never drink untreated water from any water source except for fresh water springs. Animals deficate in water as well so always be safe and make sure your water potable by one of several ways before drinking it. Another great video, I actually watched it some time ago, back for round two.
I thought you guys lives at the USA, just found out that you lives at Canada, no matter where you lives , you making life living , love you guys , wish you always the best , and praying God to bless and protect you all . What a great satisfying Wonderful family
I know it sucks not to fill your tags, but at least you were able get out there and give it a try, better luck to you for next season, awesome drone footage
Samsquanch LOVE moose burgers, and that scares the dickens out of the rest of the moosies. ;) Great video! Especially the drone footage at the end. Thank you!
Another great video even without a moose kill. Here in New Hampshire I’ve seen coyotes chew large chunks out of moose antler sheds so it’s not always squirrels and porcupine that get them.
Great hunting trip, found two moose but no meat🤣😂 That drone video at the end was just beautiful, I wonder what the moose thought...hey there's a huge blow fly I just don't trust, let's get out-a-here!
I spot moose regularly at a small alpine lake I like to visit, most often to fish but also hunt. Usually solo so I'm after deer during season, not moose. Be pretty tough to extract a moose by myself, plus moose season in that area is spike fork only, which makes things even more difficult. I bumped a huge bull in another area this fall too, never expected to see one there. What a beast but again, not in season & spike fork in that region as well.
It appears you were OUTMOOSED this season better luck next time. Shame you didn't deploy your drone while you were on the hunt this season might have been a better hunt. Thanks for sharing. Always awesome seeing your daughters out do their dad. God bless be safe stay warm and healthy. Jim
Jeff and rose thank you for your videos your girls have to be some of the most talented young ladies there is in the world congrats on the hunt be safe and looking forward to seeing you guys soon until the next video bless you all
I probably won’t be able to watch live, so I’ll just add my guess of what killed them. I’m going out on a limb here and guessing, DEATH killed them? Lol sorry, I had to say it. It’s the answer my husband always gives so I just thought , why not? Also wanted to say “MERRY CHRISTMAS “ to your family and to Dave’s as well . Thanks for all the great content you put out I know that it might be hard sometimes but it gives me hope that there are people out there that still value family life
Hunting is all about the experience but when it comes to the children we always want to see them be successful in their hunt. Went through it a lot with my sons deer and elk hunting.
Great video The Adventures you all had camping the jeeps Family and friends cooking over a wood fire The trip was a blessing God's Blessings to you and your family Merry Christmas
A very emotion packed piece, indeed! Did you go after those 3 bulls that you saw at the end...? A great piece of cinematography! Thanks! Hope your Yuletime/ Christmas, will be a happy n safe time for all!!?? C Ya on the next one!?
I suspect the season was done as mentioned. Hunting with drone is not legal in BC. There is even a rule in place that if you fly into a location you must wait 24 hours before you can legally hunt. Fair chase is the name of the game & that's why many hunters come home empty handed, myself included haha.
I used to carry a strong slingshot for grouse and rabbits, with a couple of arrows you would be surprised what you can safely take quietly. Do you know where the Moose licks are in that area? they are spots where the moose will eat the dirt for minerals, pour a little salt brine in a ripe area and have a good spot to watch.
Hi I am curious. It seems like everyone in the family is fond of the Tikka T3X Lite hunting rifle. And judging from the diameter of the barrel and the length it looks to be one of the magnum calibers. Can you confirm that? Is it 7mm Rem Mag or 300 Win Mag? Those are really light rifles and if you are firing magnums it's going to pack a wallop on recoil. Cheers!
Any recent flooding in the area?? It may have drowned close to shore and was picked apart by smaller prey and birds. That's so cool you are out with your girl and her husband. As for moose , earlier in the summer. We had a cow and calf in our yard. And since it,s started snowing . We have found tracks in the yard. And the neighbour has spotted them over the hill from us. Amazing drone footage well done!!!
Very nice drone footage of the 3 bull moose. Were you able to get one for your larder or just their image. Too bad you cannot use the drone to locate and geotag a moose for your girls to locate and harvest. Wishing you and your family a safe hunt next time.
Grandmother had 11 kids granfather had a firewood crew with all his kids. He had a contract with the school for 200 cord a year.all they had to feed the boiler and the stoves and ovens was fiire wood .grandma could make a mulligan stew with anything to feed the crew out in the woods, since pocupines live in the trees and eat the soft bark at the top of trees they were top on the food list for the mulligan stew pot .a real big one would be used for sweet gravey and flour drop, bisquets. A meal they all liked.she would also take pine bark to remove the quills.she sold them to indian girls that made moccasins ..small animals were eaten more than deer were. We had a bad case of EHD here in the middle of America that killed lots of white tail deer. I suspect something like that is happening to your moose. The calf you found probably lost it's mom and just died there.

No moose here on Prince of Wales Island, but we did manage to get our quota of deer, even with our over population of wolves.
Very Awesome - which part of the country do ya live at ?

Thanks for the hunt videos, how far away were you from the moose that you found via the drone? God bless.
What kind of drone was it where you could get that close to the three moose without spooking them?
👏💙💚💙💚 I wish your videos were longer thanks for the video

We had a bad case of EHD here in the middle of America that killed lots of white tail deer. I suspect something like that is happening to your moose. The calf you found probably lost it's mom and just died there.
awesome find one day in the woods without a kill is still better than one day out of the woods
we found two whitetail bucks tangled together with barbed wire in the south sask river bush. 1 was dead frozen solid and the other still standing
Yeah, I think it's a lot more common with deer (or at least more commonly observed) but I imagine it could be the case with moose as well.
Well done. Great ending
