The cart etiquette!!! YES YES YES!! And the parking police....I take my parents shopping and they're in their mid to late 70s and people are so freaking rude to the elderly. Like my mom can't haul ass anymore but people will essentially ride her ass in the store...so freaking rude and entitled. Clearly I needed to go off today.

Jelly, as the name would imply is only going to be a gel, transparent but with color, kind of like L.A.Looks, or Dep. Jam, now that's got the little pieces of fruit meat in it. Marmalade is an extra step in that not only does it have some of the fruit meat, it also incorporates the zest. I'm going to take it way back, have you ever heard of curd? Lemon curd, tangerine curd, lime curd. A curd incorporates dairy. I personally love orange marmalade or lemon curd and butter on my blackened sourdough toast as I dip it into my black coffee. Add a cigarette and you have the makings for a perfect morning.

I always have my mom's handicapped tag, but I only use it if she's getting out with me, one day I'll be old and I may need one of those spots. Also a lot of the time i wont use a handicap spot even when I'm helping my mom because she has me and some poor people don't have anyone to help them.😔

Great interview!! Poor Cody, it's obvisouly to me he's never tasted PROPER grape jam. And I say jam.... because jelly is just the juice, while jam is the juice with the pulp remaining in it. Grape jelly or jam you buy in the store is too sugary, and watered down, so it loses the tartness and intensity that homemade grape jam has, when made properly. I wish I could make him some toast from my homemade bread with my homemade grape jam on it. He'd really love it.

I 115 percent agree about the carts, but there are times I’ll leave the cart where ever bc sometimes I’m really in that much pain, I have a bleeding and joint problems and sadly the US government literally doesn’t help me with accessibility like a cane or wheelchair or even a handicap sticker and things like that

Did you find the cart narc channel? It’s the best! Cart narc is/are a hero! I look able bodied. But, I get a placard. I just stopped caring what people think. And the candy…I remember getting 3 for a quarter. But they were all individual wrapped items I would get.

Great episode as always, you make even the guests that bring absolutely nothing to the table like this one entertaining to watch. Now that my cute shade is out i just felt he didnt have anything to discuss but mundane things about food and thats fine and dandy but this conversation was just TOO mundane because he offered nothing besides preferences. No opinions past that
I was waiting to hear more about him and how he got into his career and why he wrote his book. Also would have enjoyed hearing them share opinions on things that helped us get to know him better.
@@aiku111 agreed with you! the conversation should center itself around the guest; their past, how it led to their present, then get into opinions on random fun stuff, get into future goals/upcoming projects, then wrap things up.
I don't think we can really blame the guest for that lol. It's on the interviewer to redirect the conversation instead of letting the guest lead. I would never point the finger at our gorgeous hostess, though.
That said, I loved the episode. I enjoyed hearing them vibe out more than I would've enjoyed hearing them talk about a career I'm not super interested in. The interview portions of other episodes sometimes felt too boring and flavorless because of that, imo. I can agree that a balance should be struck, but if I have to pick between one or the other, I'm picking interviews like Cody's.

I couldn't agree more about the abandoning of the cart. I work for Instacart, and I see this problem more than most. Because I basically work at the supermarket. It is the worst, I've noticed, outside of Sam's Club and Cost Co. The most annoying thing to me, is when the cart they leave is right next to my car, when I come out of the store. Because a lot of random car wear and tear happens when it's just parked in a spot at a supermarket. Those carts could easily scratch, and I'm not some snob worried about my paint job. It's not even my car I use. I'm so poor, I have to use my mother's car to work - and I'm 42 years old! I have had PTSD, from being mugged and beaten up randomly while away at university. I have survived cancer surgery, a back injury, and many other lifelong trials and tribulations. I believe still, in being nice to each other and doing no harm. Moreso even than before any of my traumas. This also includes seemingly small things like dings on my mother's car. Because it hurts her heart, and makes her think I am untrustworthy through no fault of my own. Yes. I care. Too much.
I think if you have your mom with you in the car, and it's her handicap placard - it is okay for her to remain in the car - and for you to run in. You helped her to the store out of the kindness of your heart, and so she is kindly waiting for you to gather the things you need also. I do not see any wrong with this because she is waiting in the car for you - and that is uncomfortable. She is still handicapped, and the sign is still helping her. Even though it is also helping you, you (in my mind - tin this scenario) are secondary to her.
